Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Think I over Dosed on KALE lol going straight through me .. No way I'm going to kettle bells eek !! Enjoying the kale but we've had it for dinner last few nights.. Think its getting the better of me!
 
Fast/ low kcal day has gone well 691kcals .. Prob cause I told OH he's having pizza as I'm not doing his dinner as I'm fasting lol

Kids ate a big breakfast and various healthy (ish) bits all day so they had a plate of salad stuff, micro chips & ham and salami - wasn't tempted by the chips at all today :)

Please with my day.. Icing would have been my Kettlebell class - but not risking it - that kale is deadly .. But so yummy :)
 
Hmm that sounds like an interesting reaction to kale; if the whole family isn't similarly afflicted then you might consider whether the enzymes could be affecting you. Hope you feel back to rights soon! x
 
Lol I think I ate more kale than any one else - I boiled it then added garlic and butter and single cream .. Was very yummy :)
 
Well tummy back to normal today.. Still green and may stay that way because of having more cabbage and kale planned for dinner tonight lol

Breakfast: bacon, 2 poached eggs, cherry tomatoes, handful sauerkraut, soft goats cheese, date with cashew butter .. With 4 digestive enzymes ..
 
Just did the "7 min workout" using the green app with a a stop watch - my kids were doing it too lol

Bit like cabbage but stronger tasting and is dark green.. Tescos are selling bags of it at the mo.

It's ok just steamed or boiled but has a stronger taste than cabbage.

I did it with garlic, butter, salt, black pepper and single cream it was so yummy ..

I think if you cooked with garlic and extra light Philly or quark it would be nice and also low fat..
 
Dinner tonight: fresh salmon, cabbage, leeks, kale boiled and then cooked with butter, garlic and single cream - yummy!

Had 6 squares dark choc tonight too

Must say my cravings for sweet stuff is disappearing - not gone but much better - I don't feel the need for it every day :)

WI tomorrow - lets hope it's like today's Weight as scales are being nice :)
 
WI today 88.5kg so from last week that's a 200g loss .. Going in the right direction :)

I was worried on Monday as I was back up to 90.5kg after 2 meals out over the weekend, plus TOTM bloating!

Thank goodness it has all disappeared and a bit more :)
 
I weigh every day, seeing I was back up so high after a weekend of eating too much was daunting .. Was not sure I could get a loss as it only really started moving back down Thursday - so it took 3 days to loose the gain from the weekend.. After my low kcal day on Thursday, my weight on Friday I was 88.4kg so WI today was only 100g up on weighing in after a DD.

This weekend should be better as no planned meals out :) so hopefully weight on Monday should be the same or less..
 
Well that the weekend over with :) enjoyed my foods specially the fresh salmon. Back to normal tomorrow .. This weekend I've said no too.. Pizza, micro chips and phyllo pastry pie, Have not eaten wheat for a whole week now! Wahoo lol. Last weekend I ate wheat and suffered the effects most of the week, just to tired to be bothered with stuff!

Feel much better today, the fog is lifting and my motivation is higher .. OH will be happy lol

My tummy is also less bloated. Looking forward to a good week food wise. Keeping my carb levels under 100g and adding in some exercise classes .. Maybe even a Salsa class Monday night ! .. Zumba Tuesday ?? Kettlercise Thursday ??

Had fun at Salsa, but OH not really happy about me going again, sigh! :( told him it was just older men and a few woman my age 39+ etc I think he thinks life is over once you hit 40!! Or almost in my case lol

It is not like he's going to get his bum off the couch and want to do anything in the evening except watch TV, play on his iphone and have the occasional cigarette, kids asleep - why shouldn't I go do something like Zumba, Salsa, or Kettlebells !! I maybe getting older but I'm not dead yet! Move more live longer!!
 
Had cousins come visit and bring lunch of KFC - I had 4 hot wings and a bit of chicken - didn't have any chips - yes I enjoyed it :) I'm happy I'm still able to say no to hot chips!

I don't mean this to come across as negative, it's meant as food for thought - take it or leave it as you like. :) I don't think you are making it easier to meet your stated goals: stick to primal, improve your health niggles and combat your cravings. Just because people bring it doesn't mean you have to eat it! Easier said than done sometimes, I know - I once ate a piece of cheesecake that had had (most of! eek) the base scraped off it by my mother-in-law, just because she was so proud of her ingenuity. I was quite poorly afterwards though and I wouldn't do it again, and I think now I'd be better prepared to explain that although it was very kind of her, it would make me suffer a health setback.

It's good that you resisted the chips though!

KFC hot wings ingredients, which for me would be pretty inflammatory and gut damaging even ignoring the probable ME flare-up afterwards. The number of times they are pre-dusted with, breaded with, and battered with wheat and MSG are not going to help you in your quest towards foods that make you feel healthier:

Having them sometimes doesn't make a lot of difference to how I was feeling - but now seeing what's in them kind of makes me think a bit more .. I do find them hard to resist. I am making an effort not to buy mcDs or KFC when I'm out instead choosing subway.. I'm sure I will think more next time when I'm offered it .. So thank you for the ingredient list

If you're trying to improve your digestion and gut health, the wheat kind of puts you back at square one even if there are not noticeable effects; that's what I've read anyway. And of course even hidden wheat can make you crave more. I love the way they say 'contains wheat' at the end - yeah no kidding, lol! x
 
Yesterday had a busy day! Spent 4 hours in marks and Spenser uniform shopping with my 2 boys .. My brain was fried at the end!! :( still feeling tired .. All I have to do now is put name tags on .. Sigh !!

Hoping to get to kettlebells tonight!
 
Yay got to kettlercise class .. I wore my HRM so that's 460 kcals and I was sweating buckets, no pain yet! Not looking forward to tomorrow ! Also there is not another class till 5th Sept as she's away till then :( Oh well plenty of time for my muscles to recover lol
