MinkyDinkys SW Success Diary!!

Don't be shy!! You can always remove it after if you want xx
I always find it difficult to get a pic......especially a good one lol x

I haven't got kittens but I would say any pet is hard work and potentially very expensive!
We got 2 guinea pigs and even they are more work than anticipated. And there's possible vet bills and holiday care etc etc

Quick question for you all - kittens... hard work and expensive or not so much? Xx

Aw we got a kitten last April and he's awesome! I'm not even a cat person but he is mega! Not hard work at all- we bought him for £40, he was already litter box trained and has been really good no scratching furniture or anything like that. He went through a needy phase when he was about 4months of crying during the night but if we let him in the bedroom he'd snuggle in and settle. Now he's absolutely fine. He's a house cat as we live on a main road so we make sure he has lots of toys and a big ass scratching post to keep him entertained. Cost wise- we've spoiled/ruined him by feeding him the most expensive food and now he won't downgrade lol. Probs about £35 a month on food and we do buy toys all the time but actually his favourite is a cuddly elephant that was mine that he sleeps with and plays fetch with and a laser pen that was 99p off eBay!

He is beautiful!! Such an adorable face.

We live in a first floor flat so going outside is a no go. I didn't know how cats get with not going out. And then begs the question - is it natural for them to stay inside? I guess the answer is yes and many people do. We rent this flat so don't want it getting scratched up but with a scratching post it should be ok?

We have been offered a kitten from the boys mums neighbour who has just had a litter. I've always wanted one but keep putting it off because I just don't know the expense of them!

This is the little cutie

I think I'm a bit in love! Xx

Omg so so cute!! To be honest pets can be expensive in terms of vets bills but we found one that offers a pet plan so for £10 a month he gets free jabs, free consultations if he needed them, discount on neutering and free health checks. Between that and food about £45 a month but if you start him off on tesco own brand he won't know any difference and that will lessen the cost by about £20!
To start off it'll cost a bit to get everything- litter box, litter, a scratching post and couple of toys. We spent about £80 at first but we got carried away and a bit giddy there was no need! Pets at home do a nice range of kitten stuff but wilkos is cheap as well.
The indoor thing....my OH smokes and when he goes out for a fag he'll take Rory out on a harness but he really isn't bothered. A few times he's bolted out the door then ran back in! He's a happy little man and I don't think he's bothered about being kept in. If I let him out now and he got run over or attacked by a dog I couldn't live with myself!

He was a cheeky little thing though.....

Nope hun I'm not that old ;)

Am hoping to go away but wont be as glamorous or expensive as Rio! Was actually thinking Amsterdam. Maybe by the time am 50 I'll be able to afford Rio :8855:

Amsterdam would be amazing, I've never been but would love to go, Rio will be nice & we have got another 3 years to save up for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and my hairdresser who is building her portfolio up took some snaps of my hair earlier...

Wow, love the style & colour, I've had the same style for so many years, there's not much you can do with curly hair & it doesn't straighten that well & plus Bob likes it curly!

Quick question for you all - kittens... hard work and expensive or not so much? Xx

Good question, a few years ago when we had Phoebe cat & Mike kitten Lydia brought home a stray kitten, he was white & deaf as a post, it was so lovely watching Mike & Joey playing together, unfortunately Joey got run over & went to kitty heaven, it was awful watching Mike pine for him. We're now left with Phoebe she's a house cat & I love her to bits, she's not the cuddliest of cats, but likes strokes every now & then. When Phoebe goes to kitty heaven I wouldn't hesitate in getting kittens again, they are so lively, playful & just fun to have around. As for cost, well I buy dry cat food as it's cheaper & doesn't smell, I've got pet insurance & make sure she is kept up to date with her jabs. I think her annual check up is about £30 & pet insurance £8pm, so not costly.

Your friends kitten is so sweet don't think I could resist x

What a cute kitten. I couldn't resist that sweet face. All pets are expensive and take commitment. If you can afford the time and money and have the space, then do it.
BTW what colour is the 3.5 stone award as I need to start shopping again!!

Oh how cute is that kitten. I am a cat person so wouldn't hesitate in saying get one. Mine isn't the cuddliest but I love him all the same. I wouldn't be without one. I don't think it's cruel keeping them in if they don't know any different. I don't know if I could resist. I also feed Harry on dry food.

This is my monster.

Amsterdam would be amazing, I've never been but would love to go

Amsterdam can be easily done by car on a weekend or better in the week for the cheaper ferries! I did it in Feb and drove from Dunkirk, via Antwerp. But then I did do 5 countries in 8 days?

Do u have a £1 store near u coz they sell toys and stuff coz cats do love toys :) im not so sure on how hard kittens are as i got mine as a cat so im no help there but it defo wasnt expensive xx i want one now xx

I'd say that is turquoise in colour. Will be hunting down either bangles/ earrings/ necklace as the next planned treat. Maybe really splash out and get all 3 xxx
serena missed out her 1.5 stone by half a pound last night. It was so sweet a member of the group didn't want her to miss out on her colour co-ordinate treat that she bought her a gold Barry M sparkly nail varnish and gave it to her. Funnily I had bought Serena the exact same one as her treat from me!

They are from new look! So comfortable which is great because I think I'll probably wear on saturday xx

I think on Saturday I need to take a trip to New Look ;)

And OH MY GOD, he is the cutest cutest cutest. I would love a cat/kitten but we aren't allowed here. We had a pet rabbit, he was a house rabbit and he was amazing, pet's are really worth the time & effort. I would advise you though to get pet insurance as they can, at times, be mega expensive.

Bob works on the railway so he gets heavily discounted rail travel & I get discounted rail travel, so we could go by rail, I think the problem is we tend to go elsewhere instead, we are considering Europe on the train in December & could go then, decisions, decisions;)
