missemma's 10 stone journey

Currently on the bus going to a meeting! Due to it going on until 1pm I haven't been able to bring anything that I need to put into the fridge so my day is as follows:

B- syn free vanilla yoghurt with added cinnamon, banana.

L- couscous salad (spring onion, pepper, spinach, tomato, cucumber).

T- mushroom stirfry with dried egg noodles. Yummers.

S- 3 cups of tea & rest of milk made into a hot choc (HEA), 2 alpen light bars (HEB).

HEA: 1
HEB: 1
Syns: 2
Coffee: 0
Vitamins: taken.
Weights: 50 each arm.
30DS: Day 12 done.

Wow! 30DS- hardcore! How are you finding it?? I wanted to try it but got scared off watching it through on youtube before giving it a go. :p

Sucks that people arent.being.understanding about your choices :/ do you think maybe your mum is negative about it because she wants to lose weight too? You said she had the sw books... Maybe she feels lile if you are making yourself lose weight then you are probably silently thinking she needs to too- think there can be all sorts of hidden agendas like that when someone is so unsupportive of a healthy change- she might not even be conscious of it!

I'm surprised you never eat out with friends though- I always find something on thr menu and ask for a million changes "I want the chicken grilled instead of fried with no oil, salad instead of fries..." etc. Always look for chicken options as usually at diners they have something. Once I even asked for the grilled chicken burger with extra salad instead of the bun!
But yeah, it sucks that your friend was being b*tchy about it :S that wasn't in her place at all. Did you have a good time still though? :)

Reading was amazing thank you, the sun was shining the whole day we were there, loved it.

My Mum does need to lose weight, she's really big now, much bigger than she has ever been so I think she finds it difficult that I'm strict but she has no willpower and isn't willing to change. Everytime I go there we get into a row about how much food she (& my Dad) eat but they don't listen. My Dad has got health problems too but they just don't listen/want to change and I find that very frustrating.

& I hate asking for loads of different things when I go out, mainly because I don't believe they'll cook it how I want it, and if I make too much of a fuss I'm scared they might do something nasty to my food haha. If we had been going out somewhere that it's easy to get changes, such as Harvester then I'd have no problem eating out but it's an american diner, the menu is full of grease. We haven't been yet, it's this weekend xx
 
Ooh 30DS today you are cruel, my shoulders are aching from planking so doing it again today was hardhardhard, loving it though! Sad to say I look forwards to going home just to do it!

Can't wait for dinner tomorrow, got some epic burgers made to cook when I get in thanks to Minks :D turkey burgers with coriander and lime, yum.
 
Just popping by to subscribe and I've got to say a massive well done on your progress so far. It's really inspiring to see how far you've come, especially as I'm just setting out and it seems like i'll be doing this forever! xx
 
My mums tthe same hun xx i found the only way round was just eat her meal but not all ov it lol. Example sunday roast she puts marg and milk in the mash I just ask for abit then fill up on veggies and mushy peas lol
It is very hard and some ppl just dont seem to be able to accept it :(

It is hard, but I'm going to persist and eat my own food! Haha
 
Okay today is a delicious red day :) only today & tomorrow then it's the weekend, hurrah.

B- overnight oats (HEB porridge, vanilla mullerlight, nana & cinnamon).

L- lean ham salad - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pepper.

T- turkey burgers (9) made with lean turkey mince, garlic, lime, coriander & a wee bit of chilli. Gonna have this with my allowance of cheese (HEA) and spinach/mushrooms. Mmm hungry thinking about it :)
Hot choc for relaxing time (2)

Need to shred once home too. So burgers can cook whilst I'm doing that. I need to remember to take my vitamins tonight too as I forgot this morning.

Okay, my dinner was on the EPIC side, it was well tasty! Totally making that again one day, yumyumyum.

The 30DS level 2 is hard work but loving it still, my shoulders are aching like a ***** though, planking is hard.

Grr, annoyed with myself, picked up what I thought was lean turkey mince in Sainsburys but I got lean turkey thigh mince. I watched a TV programme last week where they had SW on it and they said lean turkey mince was free as it's so good for you however when I looked at the cals/fat in the lean turkey thigh mince it doesn't seem like it's going to be syn free! Guess I've got to add some syns now? Can anyone help me out? xx

[edit] Just did a search and it looks like 3 syns per 100g. I used about 300g so 9 syns. Phew still within my allowance but what a waste of syns. I have just amended my online shop to include extra lean turkey mince!

Weighed myself this morning 12.10! Where did that come from seeing as I've been at 12.8 all week. The scales aren't my friend today. Must be the mince haha!

Red day today, my food shop is coming tonight too :D

L- Chicken. I had no time to eat lunch so literally grabbed the chicken and stuffed it in my gob.

T- The salad from lunch.

My parents are ovwrweight too :/ dad has been dieting but keeps quitting for holidays and putting it back on. He is severly obese, he is 6'8" and SO fat, can't imagine how fat he would be if he were a normal height.
Sucks that the rows always happen... It is such a sore point for so many people. When my therapist urged me (in the nicest way possible!) to lose weight to get some confidence I was SO offended and sad about it! :/
There is a funky american diner near us that does a grilled chicken with bbq sauce and melted cheese on top- so nice! I double HexA the cheese and ask for salad instead of rice. People wont spit in your food.if you ask for your food to be prepared differently :/ tons of people do because of allergies and they should understand that you are trying to be healthy. I'd ask for some grilled chicken (no oil but seasoned) with the side salad, it's not like they won't have grills for all the burgers and stuff so won't be hard. Honestly though, you shouldnt be scared to adjust the order- on biggest loser they have full tables of people ordering like that in the episodes where they eat out!
Think about people who have gastric bands and cant eat loads of oil- they have to order strangely or they are sick. It happens all the time, you shouldn't have to suffer because you are scared you will upset someone who you are paying. ;)

Been up since 7am, done the shred, got some washing on, showered and dressed. Got a hair appointment at 10, can't wait to get my hair all nice again.

Weighed myself and my scales couldn't decide between 12.7 and 12.8 so I'm going with 12.8 to be on the safe side so a STS this week. Ill take that as had a lot of booze last weekend plus some massive dinners at my mums so all good. I have two weeks left before the wedding which is technically only one week as ill have to WI early as I'm off to my parents on the Thursday so that week I will be weighing Thursday morning.

Today is my best friends birthday and we are off into town for cocktails later. I have a red day planned :) will update food stuff in a bit. I need brekkie xx
 
Right food:

B- 2 'fried' eggs on 2 slices bread (HEB) with cherry toms and EL mayo (0.5).

L/T- EL beef mince burgers with lean bacon, cheese (HEA) & salad. Gonna use a WM roll for my second HEB.

S- cup of tea in Costa (some of my second HEA) later with the boy and some fruit. Many cocktails later ;), 2 babybel light (rest of HEA), salt & vinegar Special K crisps (4). Many cocktails.

Well done on the sts.. What are you having done at the hairdressers?? Mine needs trimming desperately but I just don't seem to get round to sorting it. Are you still that lovely shade of red? X

I am still very red yes :) just had a trim as it was long and straggly! She then curled it for me!
