Moonlights' (temporary) Maintenance

Loads of recommendations on where to buy the coconut oil! Yes one lady found it in tesco for I think £7? I bulk bought a few on amazon as I haven't had the chance to go and check out my local.

Glad people are finding the recipes etc useful :)

Ooh nice deal, marge. Are you born in 81?? Me too!

I can now report my oopsie bread also held up well to a sandwich. I'd been meaning to it for ages, am defo glad I did.

So, today I has ate:

Fried oopsie with fried egg yolk
Toasted oopsie with 30g toasted cheddar

Oopsie sandwich with dairylea, tomato, cucumber

Steak, mushrooms, spring onion

Mfp: 25g carbs

Yay for an oopsie day!

Hiya, yeah born 81...birthday in a couple of weeks so feeling that bday depression!! I would attach a pic of eBay purchase in case anyone else wants to get some... But I don't know how to do that!! Lol.

What's the name of the oil, marge? People can search by that, maybe.

Glaring at my scales today and wondering how long they're going to hold me hostage at the very bottom of this stone bracket before letting me into the 11s. Eating has been very much within targets and ratios so I know I'm burning fat and eventually my body will let it go.

Still have TOTM (though very lightly) after a week - which is unusually long for me and may have something to do with it I guess. Who'd be a woman.

Almond cupcakes on the train and then a meal out tonight.

Morning ML... I must try ooopsies! You definitely had an oooopsie-daisy day yesterday! Looks brilliant! Hope today is a good one for you? xx

I have same prob im sticking at bottom of the 13s iv stuck now for over a week totm is now long gone yet here i still am 2lbs on then next day 2lbs off so back at lowest but not losing. Ketosis is good so why are the scales not? Grrr

Crikey moonlights u certainly did go oppsie crazy :) I got my coconut oil online from tesco ....have u heard about the new craze of coconut water ....looks like it has the same benefits as coconut oil was gonna get some but checked labels and it looks pretty high in carbs so will steer clear :) hope you have a nice time tonight

Yes, I've also seen people using coconut flour but it's too carby for me.

Meal out was a bit of a squib - food was nice but not up to their prices. I had rotisserie pork which was obviously not done on a rotisserie - I expected it soft and falling apart - was more like a pork brick! And I ordered cabbage to go with it but when it came if had a sugar dressing on so all I ate was my pork brick and a bite of duck-fat potato.

Puddings looked nice but I couldn't have them!

Anyway, very long day today, lots of running about.

Food:

3 almond muffins

Prawns and double Gloucester cheese and tomato

Pork brick, bite of duck fat potato

Cocoa bark

Mfp: 28g carbs

Angie I tried coconut water when I was on holiday - can't say I liked it very much, found it quite bitter and a bit 'washing up water'-ish...

So sorry to hear about the pork brick, ML - pork is such a delicate meat, and is diabolical when overcooked (as I know to my cost! :D).

Hope today goes well.

Soooo tired. Of course next door are using a chain saw right under my window...

Hi ML,

Well done on your Oopsies...definitely more successful than mine! I'll give 'em another go later this week and see if I can do a bit better :D I like the sound of your cheesy bolognese bake, so I might just have to give that a whirl too.

I tried cocoa bark with rose essence and I think it's probably my favourite thus far (I've tried orange, almond and rose). Just made a batch with peppermint so I hope that's good - I'm very fond of mint chocolates, so I'm hopeful!

Lisa- its right opposite Godalming waitrose if you know it, in an old church. I've been there before when it was gastropubby, really nice food and good prices. Now I think the company has been taken over and they're trying to go upmarket but it seems like a bit of a disaster. Not nice enough for special occasions, too pricy for a treat.

Mint choc chip ice cream is my favorite. I made some cocoa bark with peppermint paddy davinci the other week which was v nice.

Well I have been flat on my back listening to sawing man all day and occasionally drifting off to some very weird dreams. Need to get up and make food but the getting up part hurts.

Oooh mint chocolate mmmm.

I just realised today (because I am very slow on the uptake) that I could get a chocolate mould thing and make lowcarb choccie shaped treats yaye :D

Have you given sawing man a cup of poisoned tea yet, ML? :D (just reading a whodunnit where something similar happened)

I'm loving this newsreader. Have to agree - I think kindness and an acceptance of people for who they are based on what's inside not outside is really the example we should be setting. Absolutely no child has ever seen a fat tv presenter and gone 'oh okay I'll become fat then!!' - but many children have seen the abuse fat people get and the fetishisation of extreme thinness in the media and had their own self worth defined by that. Myself included.
