Moonlights' (temporary) Maintenance

I had celeriac roasties today i do them just like potato par then roast. I use a non stick pan, i turn them once halfway thru and cook for about 40 mins or so at 180 yummy!!!

I'm having celeriac tomorrow with yummy yummy roast chicken.

Food today was:

Half a flax wrap with melted Brie and fried Parma ham

Ham salad

Half a flax wrap with dairylea and asparagus

Mfp: 23g carbs inc meds

Had planned to eat more but so full

Thank you! It was the par-boiling stage I was especially unsure about - I've read some instructions where you do, some where you don't...much confusion! (and it doesn't take a lot to confuse me in the kitchen!)

We're having gammon for dinner tonight, so I thought roast celeriac would be a nice veg to have with it...I shall report back later :D

You don't absolutely have to par boil - I didn't at first but you do get better results and guarantee soft middles when you do.

I really like the idea of microwaving the celeriac first - all that faffing about with a saucepan to parboil never appealed (soooo lazy, I know!).

Hopefully it will stop the chips shrinking away to nothing once they're in the oven :)

OMG that pic is to die for.

I've mentioned this before - but why don't we open a restaurant?!! Apart from the fact that none of us has any money, of course....

My cousin is a private chef - she managed in restaurants for a few months before the stress got too much. Long hours, boiling hot, high pressure - looks like the worst job in the world to me! I get tired just making meals for myself! Maybe when I can afford to hire jun tanaka to run it for me ;)

Moooorning from 4am, everybody

I couldn't bear to work in a kitchen either - all that heat would probably have me fainting in the soup

Put me down for waiting tables...though if people get snappy with me they might end up wearing their meal, so maybe not...:p

So there was a jumper I really wanted from Topshop. I have never bought anything from Topshop as when I was a teenager they only went up to size 14, and now they go up to 16 and everyone says they run small.

But anyway I thought I'd get this jumper in a 16 and slim into it. But. It had sold out in that size so after a frustrating day ringing stores to try to get it, I bought it in a 14 and thought I'd try and slim into that eventually.

So it got here today and it fits perfectly :) its even a little bit baggy.

It can go with my size 14 primark jumper in the list of things that shouldn't fit me but do.

Just wish I didn't have the swamp monster stomach to ruin things.

Oh well done on the jumpers....I have been told that if you wear spanx ( expensive) it helps retrain, reduce flab over time.....got the tip from a slimming world consultant, might be worth a try.

Loose skin (in the amount i have) never shrinks back I'm afraid, and can't be retrained. The only thing that will get rid of it is surgery. I lost a few stone a few years back so if it was going to improve it would have but it gets worse with every lb lost. It upsets me so much, I honestly cry daily about the state of my body. It's like living in a shipwreck.

The jumper is called twin cat burn out jumper if you want to google it - from topshop. Can't get the link on my phone.
