My Blue Jeans Dukan Mission...

Iv got a rumbling tummy too!! Just keep telling yourself that nothing will taste as good as you will feel when you weigh yourself next week and see a lovely loss!

It's difficult to not let your day revolve around what you eat because we are following such a strict diet and we have to be prepared to achieve our goals, but it will get to a stage where your brain clicks and you realise that food is not the be all and end all, it is fuel and it won't dictate our mood. I'm looking forward to that feeling...

Good to see you didn't go off plan last night but, looking at your food plan for yesterday, I'm not surprised you were starving! You really could eat more "protein"...
I started my big weight loss campaign off back in 2002 weighing over 22 stone at 38 years old with my eye on my 40th! It worked for me (and then the troubles started stabilising the weight and quitting smoking, but that's another story!). Great motivation though realising you'll not be Fat and Forty!

Day 39 PV

OK feel better this morning :) thank The Lord...,gonna bring back the porridge this morning & save my bread for when I'm working tomorrow for sarnies....plan is school run, then sainsburys for my 3 for £10 meat & my sausages, then legs bums & tums for an hour....food should look like this....

B porridge
L babybel and tomato omelette
D beef curry with cauliflower rice & cucumber
S - parsnip crisps!!!!
S - lemon sponge
S - carrot sticks

water 1.5lts just

i have to say that reading this and looking at your signature on how much weight you have lost is astonishing!! And that you did dukan 2007 and we are now in 2014!!! That is so inspirational....I've never maintained my weight for more than 3 months. Ever. So when I go onto conso & stabilisation I will be coming to you!!!

Fab day so far...I did legs bums & tums (so much harder than I thought it would be) then did my 30 min hill walk straight after!! Fantastic what I get done exercise wise when the little un is in nursery :) plus I've made a curry :)

i have a niggling thought in the back of my mind about my target weight :0 I'm thinking shall I go lower??? Anyone else thought this?? I know it's a bit ridiculous to think about now, but I keep thinking about it? When I hit 10 stone previously, I kept on cruise to try & get down to 9st 3 which is what my stupid wii fit kept telling me I should be for my height!!!! dr dukan was far more generous & said my true weight should be 10st 3.... (He says 10 stone this time round) anyway.... I tried and tried and couldn't get below about 9 stone 9....and got so frustrated that I literally started eating everything in sight & within 1 year I was up to 12st 2....he does say in the book that will happen if you try to go too low....so with all this in mind maybe 9st 13lb....cos it sounds better!! Ha ha....

I did this last time and went to 10.10 and couldn't do it so made up for feeling deprived by eating everything other than packs of butter!! I would maybe try for 2lbs lower and then maintain that for months then have another think! 11 stone for me is still too high in medical worlds but I know how I look and feel at that weight and would be over the moon, sometimes we have to ignore the norm and go with the achievable long term! Don't kill yourself trying to get too low xx

Hey Andi, I've felt exactly the same. I just have a little way to go, but my body isn't quite where I want it to be. Like you, I tried to maintain a weight too low last time (I managed to hold 9st for about 3 months) but I realise that the reasons for my epic rebound were largely due to that weight really being too low for me.
Rather than using all of my energy to get to 9st again, I think it would be better ploughed into learning to love and appreciate my healthy body - something that, with a history of eating issues, I've struggled a bit with in the past.
Maybe I'll join you at 9st 13 ;)

No advise really, just share the feeling x
 
Great replies girlies :) thank you....funny we all have familiar stories in trying to get down to lower than what we are actually really happy with!!

Ok ok that settles it....10 stone, and if by some chance I hit 9st 13lb on conso then I can live with that! ;)

Day 40 PP Morning peeps...

tired. That is all. It's one thing having children waking you up in the night but dogs?? Grrrrrr.....

Really aching after my lbt class yesterday which is good...30 min hill walk this morning..then a 10 hour afternoon shift finishing at the lovely time of midnight :0

Glad the cravings passed... When they hit me I go and make myself a monster yoghurt smoothie or a huge bowl of vanilla custard. But it's not quite chocolate...

Day 40 PP

OOOOOFFFFFFF what a shift!!! Stressed to the max didn't have time to think about dukan for 10 hours!!

Food went like this

B - lemon sponge & 2 slices of dukan toast with dukan nutella
L - ham sandwich dukan bread
D - tin of tuna
S - 2 sausages & yep more sponge

1.5ltrs water just! Forgot to take vitamin. No walk, no energy after over ruddy exercising yesterday

right gonna ramp up the old water for next 2 days!! Got a weigh day to think of Sunday!

Afternoon all....productive morning so far...been to holland & barrett, got my bare naked noodles & invested in some slim rice, then made some minced beef & onion in gravy batches to freeze for the dreaded PP days, and done my 30 min hill walk....gonna make my new favourite things now burgers ...feeling good, starting to notice the changes now including getting my knees back!!! Doing my work shirt bottom button up & my knickers are really saggy!! What a lovely thought for you all ;)

B - dukan toast with dukan nutella
L - dukan cottage pie
D - beef curry with slim rice andsalad
S - carrot sticks
S - lemon sponge
sugar free sweets

i bought it it from the dukan website donkeys years ago, in fact it's out of date & it's lush :) yep it is expensive but the way I look at dukan is that the money I save on alcohol takeaways & socialising in general it really doesn't bother me forking out on lush dukan stuff!!

Day 41 PP

Morning all...another 4pm til 2am shift to look forward to later...but then 3 days off, and a lay in to look forward to tomorrow :)
A 6 weigh day tomorrow so it's after a PP day...Slightly nervous because 1. It's TOTM 2. It's only a 6 day weigh 3. In my mind because I'm now in the last stone, in dieting history it's notorious for being the most difficult/slowest to come off....just hoping that dukan proves that wrong!

B - lemon sponge
L - stewed beef & onions
S - lemon sponge, sugar free sweets
D - 2 cheeseburgers :)
1.5 ltrs water
Reminder - make bread & choc sponges tomorrow

Testing times....taking the kids for a Saturday morning treat for a McDonald's breakfast (one of my previous life's favourite things) so taking my sainsburys sausages I just cooked & will order a bottle of water :)
