Two pounds is a really great start - and now you've got your head in the game, those pounds will start flying off!

Hey Charley!

Come and talk to us - even if it wasn't quite as good a day as you hoped! Goodness knows we all know it's hard to get started on this diet sometimes! x x

Thanks Lilly I been eating healthy today I honestly do not think this Cd is for me :( I keep telling myself I'm getting married December and I can't keep bars/shakes down I would rather not eat. Xx

Okay. So Cambridge might not be for you. Or it still might.

What else have you tried, hunni? Slimming World, Weight Watchers, Rosemary Conley, calorie counting - the usual suspects? Did you do okay with any of those or was it still just as hard to stick to the plan?

I guess what I'm getting at is that all slimming plans feel restrictive. How much do you want to lose weight? That sounds like a no-brainer, but think about it for a moment. How much do you want to lose by December? On a conventional diet, you could probably expect to lose 5-6 stones by next December - but will that be enough?

If you want more off than that then pretty much your only option is a VLCD like Cambridge. But you need to commit, one way or the other (I'm a fine one to talk about commitment to a diet, LOL, but bear with me :)). You could waste another month messing about with Cambridge when you could be on another plan that allows you to eat food and still shed pounds, though maybe not as many as you'd like. Or, you could commit to Cambridge now, tomorrow, and be down nearly two stones four weeks from now.

But you kind of have to want that fast weight loss more than anything else. Presumably your OH loves you just the way you are, so I'm guessing he's not too bothered whether you lose 3 stones or 8 before the wedding. So it comes down to how much you want to lose and in what time frame.

Whatever diet you ultimately choose, you need to commit to it in order to see results. So why not do a bit of diet shopping over the next few days to see what else is out there that might suit you? In the meantime, eat a few of those Cambridge bars. ;)

And hun, whatever you decide, be sure that the folk here on MiniMins will be behind you and cheering for you all the way. :)
