My fishy week!

I want to try this but I only eat tuna and salmon. I know salmon is quite fatty, so would it be pointless?

Salmon is free so maybe just have some of that.

Tuna in a can is a speed food so this would be great! Maybe don't do a whole week just a few meals?

Or try another fish you haven't had before and see if you like it?

good luck :)

Got to try this! I went from being a veggi to just eating fish and now I eat meat. Got to say my losses were much better when I was just eating fish so it makes sense! WI tomorrow and then a fishy week it is for me :D

Hi Clareel

I'd be really interested to know how you get on with your fishy week...

I've just discovered smoked haddock and it's lovely! I'm not a real fish eater other than haddock and tuna

Good luck!

Good luck - i love lots of fish, but not Tuna - i tried all sorts of different fish and just experimented with my meals. Might have another fishy week soon! xxx

Not great for me turned up late as hubby got home from work late and it was taster evening and weight in had finished so we just tucked in so to speak and i had to weight in with the newbies at the end so only 0.5 for me this week didnt exercise either as it was half term last week so didnt help myself really but back at work now and im excitted to see the outcome next week + :D:D:D:D:D Taster evening was worth it yum!!!!

chocaslim, regarding the kippers. I have the tinned ones from John West. I bung em in the microwave for 2 mins, the bones just disintergrate, you cant taste them at all. Mmmmm lovely.

Hi all!

Can I join with this?! I get weighed tomorrow (fingers crossed for a good loss) so will plan tomorrow and then start the fish week Thurs!
I know I *won't* be able to have fish in Saturday as have a birthday thing, but as for the other days, how are yoi doing?
Is it every dinner has to include fish or fish a certain number of times per week?

Can someone also advise me on tinned fish? Which are free? What about sardines?

I only usually eat salmon or tuna... But will definitely try this fish week and probably have mostly red days with the odd extra easy!
Saving some syns for pancake day though,... Can see those prawn and crab crepes in the pan now! Ha ha!

Good luck everyone! xx

TBH I don't think I'll be able to manage fish every night. I've had it the last couple of nights already and don't think I want to have it every meal :( I can tell the difference though just over the past few days - tum is flatter and loads of compliments received :D

Had prawns for my lunch with a tomato (thats my concession to veg) LOL and cod and syn free chips for tea on a red day. Still feel very hungry today though, could eat anything and everything tonight. Hmm now what else can I get my hands on eh!!!!:17729::17729::17729:

I've been doing this for 2 days and I don't know if i'm just going mental but I defo feel slimmer already! Hmm. Gonna keep it up anyway and see what the scales say.

You're right, you will feel slimmer on your first week and god isn't it a good feeling. Good luck for weigh in

Hi everyone glad to see everyone seeing results Ali* you're doing great dont worry if you cant face fish everyday its not to everyones taste I can see it getting boring if i dont find other recipes and ways to cook it. hoping to see a difference for next week though so gonna try and stick with it.

I got some smoked haddock from iceland today, it's frozen with the skin on.

Can I cook it with the skin on and then remove it? Will it still be free?

Thanks x

Hi all - planning to at least attempt this with you starting from tomorrow (at least until the weekend - but am going away so don't know how that will work)

Anyway, I currently have:

Smoked salmon
Cod Fillets
Tinned tuna
Tinned sardines

All these are free aren't they?
The smoked salmon/sardines will be breakfasts and I'll probably have Tuna and rice (yum) for lunch. Will pop to Asda on the way home and pick up some fish for lunch,, any recommendations? I literally always eat salmon fillets (when eating fish - not always on a fish week aha)

Hope to do this thurs - sat eve and then sun eve 'till weigh in on Wednesday :D

Well, I had fish for 3 nights running (Mon-Wed) and I am pleased to report a loss of 3 lbs! Can't say it was deffo the fish as I have had less syns this week also ... but I am over the moon and will continue to have more fishy dishes :eating:

Let's go fishing! :character0053:
