My fishy week!

After reading the great results on here I am really, really tempted to try a fishy week, although, I'v had 2 really great weeks after being mainly green..so am slightly wary, not of eating so much fish - as I adore it, but more the fact that green has been working really well.

So....I'm going to take the bull by the horns - or should that be shark by the fins ? ;) lol
Will follow mainly as red..... but throw in a couple of EE over the weekend
WI Thursday nights - so start today..... lunch planned as going out, I have the menu so will have Salmon but will be EE today!!

Can't wait, also gonna treat the OH 2night, and get us both some jellied eels on the way home from work

Day one (Red Day) of my fishy week

B : Mackeral on Toast
L : Tuna Salad
D : Basa (cooked in foil with a touch of lemon) with new pots, purple brocilli and carrots

Hi there im not doing fishy week this week but had it for dinner this evening its lovely so thought i'd share it with you=

i made some soup for lunch out of tinned tomatoes and butternut squash, ground garlic and sliced onions- water optional.

but for dinner i spooned some of it on top of a salmon fillet and 2 handfuls of prawns and some onion i then spread some mashed potato on top and sprinkled my cheese over it and cooked until piping hot and fish was flakey. yum!!

I did five days of a fishy week and I lost 2lbs - a good loss for * week, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. Still pleased though :)

What's a * week?
Thanks

So yesterday was day one: had Crabsticks salad & cheesy coleslaw (HExA) for lunch - tamarind & salmon curry (3.5) wholemeal pasta (HExB) & spiced beetroot for dinner

So far, so good... :D

Day two (Green Day) of my fishy week

B : Oats so simple with a Ryvita mixed in
L : Jacket Pot with (71g) Prawns and salad
D : (71g) Prawns with stir fry bean sprouts and noodles

day 1 Fri EE

Been out for lunch, and had oven roasted salmon with shitake mushrooms, rice noodles, bok choi and sugar snap peas in miso....oh so yummy, very fresh, non oily.....the miso I have indoors is only 1syn a portion, so would guess at only a couple of syns max

Dinner king prawn & courgette risotto

no, but we've asked for one several times..

* week, star week, TOTM = the time when you ladies tend to explode like a supernova :) ( ie time of the month )
SOTW = Slimmer Of The Week
SOTM = Slimmer Of The Month
SW = Slimming World
WW = Weight Watchers
VLCD = Very Low Calorie Diet
WI = Weigh in

Hiii had 5 weeks off plan...
In total over that time I have sts.
Gonna come bk on track as trying for baby soon n this blubber has to go!

Wats fishy week rules again?? X

Start weight: 14s 7lb Current weight: 13s 11lbs Loss: 10lbs

fishy week rules are that you have to have fish for as many meals a day as you can.. ( as far as I can fathom anyway.. )

Kippers for breakfast, tuna / salmon / crabstick salad for lunch, fish bake / fish 'n' SW chips / seafood paella for evening meal etc..

Thanks ColJack, didn't know most of them.
Also worked out sts is Stayed The Same. I'm learning eh, haha :)

Is a fish week supposed to be a kick start or a boost or something else?
Thanks :)

I think people get decent losses from having a week eating fish but not sure how much it actually helps... I have just finished day 2 of fish week (doing it on red days rather than extra east) and so far so good - I'll post my loss on Thursday pm... I want 3lb off this week so I get my stone shiny! :)

Thanks Funky :)
Good luck to you for this week will, keep fingers xed for you :D

I've spent most of the day reading this thread from beginning to end and feeling very inspired!

I normally do green days and rarely have meat normally. I'm planning on doing a fish week as either EE or Red depending on the day. Have people who've lost a lot with a fish week normally done Red, Green or EE on a non-fish week? I'm just wondering if the reason that it works well is that people are replacing meat with fish and that I won't see much benefit since I normally don't eat meat (if that makes any sense at all?)
