My Personal Weight Loss Journey

Realised this is on my computer here, so have a gander. The last photo was back in May for my friend's wedding. I will pluck up the courage to take a new photo tonight and post tomorrow my current progress...

Ignore the fact that 2011 I am in a bin bag creation - it was for a young farmer's party. 2012 I was on the Dukan diet, but heavier than I am now...and 2014 photo I was on SW but about 2 1/2st heavier than I am now...at least!

Oh my goodness Flic, ive not even caught up properly yet, but i go away for 3 days and your 7lbs away from goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be so pleased!!!!

Your bit about the services made me laugh / smile, LOVE IT.


I used to have a thing about Greggs :-( when everyone was at work and the house was empty, I would get some in our local town, bring it home and eat it all sometimes 3 or 4 pasties . . . . . . I now take great delight in walking past and not going in, I'm a bit like you in the fact that I do say F you in my head to Greggs each time I pass.
It's a great sense of satisfaction not to give in to those old habits.

Your a very attractive young lady and look very happy in all of your photos but obviously there is a great difference in the photos and you look amazing my dear. You will be at goal before you know it. Looking forward to all of your maintenance posts and moving up the steps, it will be great for us all to watch from the sidelines you going from SS or SS+ to maintaining :)

Thanks so much for your comments! I didn't get around to taking an updated photo last night - I think mostly I chickened out! haha.

The 2012 dress Angel is French Connection - I was so pleased when I could fit into one of their dresses!

I am feeling pretty positive about getting to target - this is the closest i've ever got. I think the best thing about CWP is that targets are attainable and you see results. I used to get so frustrated with SW as I would be good all week and not see a result - that led to cheating after weigh in and the rest is history...

Last night I had SS+ of spinach and poached eggs. Had my rice pudding afterwards and I was so incredibly full! Feeling a bit blocked today and the scales haven't budged for a couple of days. No meal tonight - going to power through as tomorrow might be curry. We've also got friends coming for dinner on Thursday so i'm planning on cooking them pizza, but having my favourite chicken and salad wraps. I'm not expecting to see much of a loss at this week's weigh - partly because of a busy week with some additional SS+ meals and also because i've a short week...i'm happy, i'm not worried because I know I can do it!

Today is chocolate shake, bar and rice pud for dinner. The rice pudding is a real treat for me! haha - simple things.

Going to do the rounds now - happy Tuesday all!

Flick I don't think you have any reason to " chicken " out as your 2012 pic was fab and your smaller again :) I bet you look a million dollars !

I'm Quite looking forward to having some SS + days and small meals, yours always sound great.
I follow someone on a social media site and she only posts pics of her CWP meals, and my goodness they look fab. I guess it's like you say about the rice pudding, it's the closest we get to cooking so should enjoy it.

Afternoon all,

Went for a wee walk at lunchtime. Left my hat at home and got rained on which wasn't fun! I'm going to try and do more lunchtime walking otherwise I just end up being inside all the time.

Breakfast was half a toffee malt bar which I bit tiny bits off and sucked them - it lasted ages! Lunch was a hot choc shake - half of. Feeling much more normal today so i'm sure ketosis is back - feeling pretty full too which is good.

I've been debating the whole SS/SS+ thing in my mind today. Last week, when I had something planned for the Saturday, I was soooo good all week. This week - I'm just enjoying having an "evening meal." I might have a test week of having something every night and see what affect it has on WI - but am I almost sabotaging myself because I want something to eat? It's only an SS+ meal at the end of the day, but it does somehow feel like i'm "cheating."

Argh - decisions. I think it'll all come down to the wire once i'm in the kitchen later tonight...

i think the whole meal thing is really something which you need to decide for yourself, in terms of your weight it wont make too much diff but its the psychological side of things you need to address. it can be very easy to do the well im getting on ok with this, what if i just add........ i find this can lead to diet suicide but thats me, you know your own strenghts and it may be a breeze for you. (which incidently i hope is the case)

you ve come this far and are doing great so whatever works

Morning lovelies.

Well, I did have a meal last night...it was lovely. Our plans for tonight have been cancelled, so I won't have anything this evening and I think i'll have a couple of days fully on plan without meals. I don't feel like that will be a challenge. In fact, I feel more in control with the fact that I can have an on plan meal when I want some. Though I am looking forward to the next step(s) I do feel apprehensive about having food on a daily basis again.

Today I am feeling a bit chilly and tired - kind of glad that this evening's been cancelled. haha.

Hello all! Just thought I'd stick an oar in!

I originally lost my weight the same as you flic - a mixture of SS and SS+. This time I'm back to chip off a stone before I end up putting the lot back on and I'm doing it with step 2, so I've had a meal every day and it doesn't seem to significantly affect my weight loss. I think it just keeps me a bit sane! Also for maintenance you're learning to cook smaller portions of the right stuff... I don't know, like sky dragon said its a personal thing but I've just enjoyed sitting down with the same meal as hubby at night (I just add carbs for him) xxx
 
Haha - thanks for your input slbt - it's always useful to hear what others are doing/how they loose it. I think as the monotony sets in with a diet, and i'm getting near to where I want to be, it seems logical to start trying out having food. At the moment, it's still very much something for me, and something for OH. I am looking forward to us having a meal that is the same together...

ALSO, excuse all the mess and clothes everywhere - I only have a full length mirror in the spare room, and everything on the bed is for sale on ebay!

Good point about getting used to cooking smaller portions etc i hadn't looked at it like that, and it is nice to eat together etc, :)


Flick, how bad is it that we get excited if people cancel on us lol, I would have been thrilled if I could have got out of my past two events so I can imagine why your happy, it takes a pressure off us and if you do have a SS+ meal your not with others watching you and no one can question your choices etc x x
 
Exactly Angel! I'm more relieved because I was putting the meal into the hands of others - a homemade curry but no knowledge of what sauces etc had gone into it...an unknown makes me a bit anxious...

Almost time for breakfast - half a choc shake today I think. :)

The unknown always scares me, the night before my wedding in 2012 I ordered plain chicken breast and a green salad, I sent it back as they had clearly cooked it in oil. Looking back there is no way it would have prevented me getting into my dress the next day but at the time I was ridiculous about keeping as good as I could. I do feel a lot more relaxed this time although i have just as determination I know now one day off isn't the end.

Not sure if I mentioned I follow some one on another form of social media but her pictures off her step 2 food are so good they always make me think of you. . . . . . . . .

Not sure how I missed this post but you look amazing, there is a huge difference from your 1st pic in the green dress ( on another post ) YOU look amazing, well done and a massive pat on the back ! I thought you looked great in the 2012 pic but again there is still a difference between that one and this one, no wonder you've stuck with it, your hard work and efforts have certainly paid off x x x
