my weird ramblings

oh and weighed on my scales this morning. 17 stone 7lb so am back down by 6lb

Grr, not fair is it? Sounds like you can carry a load of water around with you when you're not in ketosis. My CDC is always amazed by how many pounds I can pile on when I have a couple of days off the wagon. I think she must think I'm a right pig - but I really don't have to eat much - and boing! - the scales fly up 9 or 10 pounds. Grrr.

Keep glugging the water, hun. Hope you have a great day :hug99:

oh i gain weight shockingly easily, my cdc even rang head office the first time as she was so worried about it, lol

Hi Claire,

I'm glad it is flowing away -- it must be incredibly frustrating.

I hope you and madam had a good weekend.

MM

our weekend sucked all round mel, thankfully its over now, lol

weighed on my scales this morning and am now 17st 3lb, so just 3lb to go to achieve a sts this week ( my official weigh in is wednesday morning, cant see it happenning but such is life )
so am now 10lb down on my massive gain, lol

Sorry your weekend was a bummer. Glad to hear that the gain is going sooo fast.

I lost one pound (as usual). So... slowly I lose... ounce by ounce... UGH!

I hope the week is a HUGE improvement on the weekend.

MM

congratulations mel. a lb is a lb, its going in the right direction and your getting so close to goal now

im up a lb today, 17st 4lb on my scales. weigh in day tomorrow so its going to be a gain. never mind, ill deal with it

Hi Claire,

You never know -- tomorrow you could be a few pounds off. Your weight wildly fluctuates from minute to minute it seems. I think it must be your medical condition (you have PCOS, don't you)?

So, here's to loss -- fingers crossed.

MM

P.S. Thanks for the praise... and appreciate it. I keep trying to think postive.

yeah i have pcos and a metabolic disorder. would have to lose more than 5lb over night for this week to be a loss week
ill get there thou, its just a minor detor

watching my ghana boys :)
im in heaven :)

Hi Claire,

Good positive attitude. You know you will get there, you have already come so far. I hope the weigh in goes well, and that you have a good day (madam, too).

MM

well my scales this morning showed 17st 1lb so went to weigh in fully expecting a 1lb gain but her scales are showing a 2lb loss.
dont know how but hey ill take it!

Whoop Whoop Whoop --

That is so fab!

:talk017:

MM

Happy Mothering Sunday, Claire.

MM

thanks mel, you too

well scales today are showing 17st 7lb. im starting to think these things arnt that good, ahh well will see what my cdc's are saying on wednesday
also am back on totm, could have an effect maybe

Hi Claire,

Oh, I am sure TOTM affects the scales -- everyone seems to comment on that.

I get weighed tomorrow. I am hoping for a loss, but DH had his first STS and is bummed. He is out setting up his weight bench in the garage. lol

I am also getting sorted for my trip and trying to "Beck up" in preparation. I really want to avoid a gain. I can live with a STS, but I do not want to "go backwards"... I am still not at goal and this is taking such along time.

MM

just put madam on the scales and there saying shes lost 2lb in a week and is back down to 2 stone 6lb. im thinking there not that accurate ( well that or i should go into panic mode and get her on to a 24 hour tube feed for the next few days before someone phones social services about my rapidly disappearing child )

Hi Claire,

Does she look any different to you? I think you'd be able to tell if there was a problem.

MM

i know she has lost weight since the surgery and her ribs are sticking out but theres no way she can have lost another 2lb in the space of a week

this mornings weight was 17st 4lb

have a migraine today thats refusing to shift

Morning Claire,

Do you go on the scales a lot?

I try to ONLY weigh once a week at my CDCs. I find that my weight fluctuates enough that I can show quite a gain at various points in the week, but come Monday morning and my weigh in -- I usually show a loss (not a lot -- it is going slowly, but still it is there).

Do you have Judith Beck's book? There is are a coupld of sections about weighing yourself and how you have to try not to scale hop (hard habit to break), and how you have "mentally" prepare yourself for your weigh in.

Your hormones could be affecting those scales, water retention, etc.

I am worried about "Madam". When is her next doctor's visit? Is her urine dark? Is she weeing as much as usual. Even though she is tiny -- if she is dehydrated she could be two pounds lighter.

I hope you have a better day and the headache has passed.

My DD is already dressed for the funeral service (her BFF's nan passed away) and has put a little package tissues in her handbag -- bless.

MM

hope the funerals not to hard on your daughter, bless her

nope madams not dehydrated, shes fine

i started weighing daily to keep myself focused, it was getting to the point where i was letting things sneak in that shouldnt in the belief that it wouldnt show up at my weigh in so i bought the scales to force myself to see that it certainly does have an effect. problem is i bought the cheapest scales i could find and there just really not accurate in the slightest, lol
