Nefertari's journey to lose 130lbs

I'm going to try all of the bars - they can't be as bad as Exante bars!

My muscles are aching so badly, even when I only walk for 5-10mins! I'm completely exhausted just after that little walk. I think I will try adding the protein when I'm properly on S&S - perhaps it's my body's way if saying it needs something extra? Even if I just have a couple of boiled eggs or some chicken/tuna. I'm not going to start messing with red meat etc. though. Not for a while.

Keep it simple, that's my motto!
 
I love the bars! Well most of them. Really like chocolate shakes with coffee added in the morning. Didn't order nearly enough!!
 
I love the chocolate shakes - yummy! I'd be happy to have nothing but them to be honest! I can't wait to place my order - only 6 days and I can choose my packs :gimi:

I can't wait to get started and I feel okay about adding protein in. I remember doing Exante one time and I was having a tin of tuna every day and my losses were better than when I was doing just 3 packs a day. So, I'm not scared of it now.
 
Think you have to decide before you order as that decides how many packs you get -- with SnS it is 3 packs a day and protein or you need 4 packs a day for TFR.

Only lost 1lb but at least the scales are moving again. Funny, my own scales say I have lost 4lbs but the Boots printout says one!

I'm a bit worried about my knees this time round. I have never had sore knees before in my life -- just getting out of a chair and bed I have to be careful. Want to lose another stone before I start jogging again I feel.

Thinking pretty seeriously of getting a wee spaniel puppy! :doggy: Managed to talk DH round. That will get me walking regularly if nothing else!
 
Just got back from the docs - was having injections for Egypt. I was watching my OH have his done and I started to blackout! So I've only had one of mine and I have to go back for the second one in April. Typical!

I'm not squeamish or anything but I think it was a combination of hot room, standing up, watching OH get stabbed, and no breakfast.

Apparently I'm fine having these things done to me but I can't watch it being done to other people - I remember starting to blackout once when I was watching my brother have blood taken.

Anyway, Day 21 and that's the end of Week 3! Still 100% - I'm amazed I've stuck it out for this long! It doesn't even feel difficult - I'm definitely in the zone! :D
 
Glad to hear how well you're doing, seem to have gotten into it a lot easier this time.
 
Thanks Caz - how are you getting on?

I did the shopping today and bought myself 15 eggs - I'm onto my S&S stuff from tomorrow (aside from the Tesco bars which I'm using until my full S&S order comes). I going to do 4 packs for as long as I can using all the extra packs I've accumulated and then start the 3 packs + protein. I might be sick of eggs by then!

WI tomorrow - I'm not expecting much as I've lost so much over the past two weeks. 2lbs would be nice to get me over the 1.5st lost mark though! Anything more is a bonus!
 
Why so many eggs?! Is that the only protein you'll be having?

I'm doing ok, just plodding along lol
 
Boo hiss work tomorrow! But also WI so that saves the day (I hope!).

Been glued to the computer all day researching for an essay, so not thought about food at all. Now OH is cooking pizza and wedges as his weekly treat. I'll be making a chocolate shake, even though his dinner smells divine!!!
 
You are very strong willed! I think of you often during the day! When I am tempted I think "G wouldn't do that!!"

That's an odd thing about you nearly passing out at the sight of someone else being injected/stabbed! I presume it doesn't happen when you see it on telly, just in real life?

My S&S order arrived today! Yay! Had a mac cheese. It was a bit better (softer) having left it to soak, but I would still use less water than they say as it is very runny.....and tbh not that cheesy.....in fact it doesn't really remind me of cheese at all. I was also pleasantly surprised by the lemon and white chocolate bar (that and the milk chocolate trufeta bar have been made slightly bigger than the praline bar btw). I only got one to try it. It's very soft and pleasantly chewy. And not too LEMONY! In fact you wouldn't really think it was lemon if you didn't know. It is sort of like a soft chewy sweet. Not bad at all. If I could have 2 bars a day I would have one maybe but don't think I would give up a lovely chcolate bar for it.

Definitely getting a pup. Hubby got how to train a pup books out of the library, just like he got books on wedding etiquette, after I booked the wedding up, so I know that means it is definitely happening when he gets books out to do his research, bless him!
 
Yeah that's true, I'm liking chicken as my protein, rarely have eggs! 4lb is great, well done
 
Just boiled up two eggs for 'tea' - I'm nervous about eating them but also thinking of them as part of my packs and not a treat. This is a turning point for me because I always saw the added protein when on Exante as a treat. This can only be a good point!
 
Bascially, if you are on S&S and having 3 packs a day you have to have a protein meal or have a 4th pack. That's it really.
I had a two egg omelette and a cottage pie pack this evening. It was very nice. The cottage pie is very bland and inoffensive, it tastes just like mashed potato with herbs mixed in, and yet it makes the omelette less boring.

I do sort of know what you mean though, that it doesn't really feel like dieting when you are eating real food but as I keep telling myself, I didn't get fat on protein! And your body needs protein daily as it cannot store it.
