nessa123 said:Thanks Hun I've never lost this much before and I just feel good.
I'm hoping for that 2lb this week to get me out of the 20's and give me another boost to push forward xxx
bulldogdaisy said:Fingers crossed for you hun, exciting for you! You've done really well, what have friends and family said about it?
nessa123 said:It's only close family and friends and about 4 people at work that know I'm doing it and they all ask how it's going and are really proud of me but as of yet no one who doesn't know I'm doing it has said I look like I've lost weight! Which is frustrating and I've still only just dropped 1 dress size which is also frustrating but the weight is going from somewhere that's the main thing and I'm finding walking easier and my asthma is a bit better too. I just have to keep going and worry about dropping the dress sizes later! Atleast it's saving me money not having to keep buying new clothes!!
Thankyou for asking Hun and sorry I waffled on lol xxx

I reckon the dress sizes will soon start dropping more and to be honest not all people comment on weight loss! Well we can see the difference in your pics and that's good that you have family and friends to support you :0)
Dubchick81 said:Good morning.. Happy you're in such good form today hun and you absolutely deserve to proud of yourself.. You're doing amazingly well..
I wouldn't worry about ppl not mentioning it.. It might be that they are afraid to offend you seen as they don't know you are trying.. (I know sounds mad they feel they'd offend mentioning you lost weight, but maybe they don't feel comfortable bringing up your weight. Sometimes others have a bigger problem with our size than we do!)
As for dress sizes.. Don't even go there!! I started this journey 2 stone ago at size 16... And now i'm a lose size 16 but still 16!!! Very annoying!!!
Thankyou and I guess because people at work see me everyday it's harder to notice anyway. Xx
moonwatcher said:Absolutely. As you know I work at a school and when we broke up for the hols in July I had lost 34lbs over the previous 9 ish months. Only about three people at work had said anything. One of them was a bloke who tentatively asked 'have you been on a diet...' and then after congratulating me said 'Only, especially as a bloke, you don't like to say to a woman have you lost weight, in case they think you're saying they were fat in the first place!' Yesterday we had an INSET day for staff only (kids back tomorrow) and *loads* of people commented - even though over the hols I have only lost another 4lbs!
So people will comment, but they hold back as Frances says, and as you say cos they see you every day it's maybe not so obvious to them. You are doing brilliantly and it def shows in your photos.
Re the clothes... I've gotta say, def take and record measurements as well as weighing in, and trying clothes on regularly. Sometimes one will show a result when the others don't. And as you say the weight is def going from somewhere... I wore a pair of size 18 trousers for the first time this week that I bought about three weeks ago. Now when I bought them the waist was tight - breathe in to zip it up and keep your top baggy kind of tight! This week they zipped up easily, with quite a bit of room to spare. The thing is, my waist measurement is exactly the same, but the trousers are a lot looser around the waist, so how does that work??? I think it's because my hips and tum have gone down, so they sit differently on my body and so the waistband isn't in the same place as when I tried them on. My point is, if I had been going only on my measurements I wouldn't have got that positive feeling from the looser waist! So I think it's important to have as many different ways as we can to record our success.
I'll shut up now! Glad you are feeling so positive though.
