Yea really enjoying it , need to go shopping tomorrow to get more salad ,

Yay to more salad shopping, I went today and bought some yummy Quorn pepper steaks, they were on offer, might have them tomorrow, also got Quorn burgers, got inspired someone on here did a really yummy burger salad, can't wait to do that :p.

I know, was just teasing :D No need to apologise at all hun. You work flipping hard on here, it must be like a full time job for you at times!

Yes we do need to give it some thought and decide what's best for us and that the timing's right too!

Not being pushy in any way :) but I can recommend the challenge - it's made me consider everything that goes into my mouth, up the water (felt like I was drowning at the beginning but soon got used to it!) and of course do the exercise regularly!!

Yum Yum - I'm having a Quorn spag bol or chilli 2moro - with a side salad - enjoy whatever u settle on!!

4. PLAN: EE
5. WATER INTAKE: just under 2l so far - I'll easily smash it today!
6. CARBS TODAY: new potatoes
7. BODY MAGIC/ EXERCISE: 45 mins walking
8. TOTAL SYNS/TREAT CALS: 10 (the aforementioned strawberry tart, salad cream, mini meringue, squirty cream)
9. SALAD: grilled mackerel, pea shoots, chard, lettuce, beetroot, pepper, grated carrot & celeriac, fennel,celery, tomatoes.

Well done Patty on the water and the body magic, looks like you had a fab day 4 hun :p. Your salad looks amazing as always I love mackerel too, it all looks so yummy on the plate :) . Good luck for day 5, your doing super lovely ! :D

Ok, so here's my effort for the day.

1.DATE: 3rd July
2.CYCLE : Get Fit
3. DAY OF CHALLENGE: 4
4. PLAN: EE
5. WATER INTAKE: Still glugging but over 2litres already, plus a couple of green teas (many trips to the loo!)
6. CARBS TODAY: Small jacket potato
7. BODY MAGIC/ EXERCISE: Filling/emptying paddling pool, pumping it up with dodgy foot pump and 1/2 hr walk, with 4 year old having a piggy back half of the time! Not classic exercise but sure made me hot!
8. TOTAL SYNS/TREAT CALS: 10 total - Alpen light, 3sqs Dairy Milk (later) light mayo, muller yogurt
9. SALAD: Cold spicy chicken, with home made SW coleslaw (extra light mayo synned), big green salad plus grated courgette, sliced baby sweetcorn and home grown baby tomatoes (first of the year, bit late but so tasty)

Confession.... I ate it before I remembered that I should have taken a photograph :( sorry but it was really tasty and I was trying to encourage aforementioned grandson to eat his lunch at the time.
/dashes off to the loo again!

Well done Cloudy, fab food day. Don't worry about pics hun its optional, if you have them great, but I can see why you got the munchies, hehe your salad sounds lush, I bet you enjoyed it very much :p. Well done on all the water drinking and exercise too. It's a shame running back and forth to the loo can't be counted as body magic :D hehe . Good luck for day 5 hun, I know you'll do smashing !

Leslie walking :-
There on you tube it's Leslie Sansone, she does from 1 to 5 mike walks ,
It's basically walking on the spot, side steps , leg kicks etc,
Some are quite relaxed some are faster oased almost jogging in the spot ,

When I first started SW, nearly 4 years ago now, I decided that I was going to participate in celebrations in order to learn how to assimilate the 'goodies' in to my life. Previously, if I'd had something that was 'naughty', that would be it - I'd blown the diet so what was the point of continuing? I was determined to break that cycle.

It was a birthday at work today, and this was the offering - a whole strawberry tart each.

The total calorie count is 255 BUT, I only ate the strawberries and patisserie cream and nibbled at part of the crust, leaving more than half of the pastry. As it was a sweet butter pastry I would think that most of the calories were in the crust. What do people think is a reasonable Syn allowance? I'm thinking around 6 would more than cover it, but I want to err on the safe side.

I like the idea of celebrating in moderation - I've yet to master that!

I think 6 is a reasonable estimate - at 255 cals I think all the tart wd be 12.75 syns - and as u say I'd have thought that the pastry wd make up the highest syn value. It'll be interesting to see what others think.

I've gone with 4 - as I only had a nibble of pastry. If I've underestimated - well, it's too late now!
