Hi Nikki

I haven't heard yet, but check out Janes last post:D

It's Wednesday today and I have been a bit naughty and not posted much this week! I've had some lovely phonecalls from Jane and the time just flies by, it only feels like 20 minutes or so on the phone, when in reality it's a couple of hours:eek:

What's been going on:confused:

Cameron is now over the virus and touch wood noone else has got any symptoms of it, so hopefully the rest of the family have escaped!

Kim has a job interview tomorrow for a local hotel, part time work, waitressing and chambermaiding, so fingers are crossed for her.

I had a phonecall from CD on Monday telling me that my papers have been marked, don't know whether I passed or not, but they are sorting out new sponsor, so am guessing I have, but haven't had the official phone call yet. Also not heard from new sponsor yet either. Hopefully by the end of the week I will finally have been put out of my misery.

Went to the hospital with my friend Sharon today, as she had to be wired for sound, whilst walking on the treadmill. Afterwards we went into town and had lunch and did a little retail therapy;)

I bought a top and a pair of trousers from New look sale in the childrens section age 14-15!!!!:D:D:D What was even better was the jeans were only £3  I sooo love a bargain:D

Guinea pigs are getting friendlier by the day and sit happily munching on cucumber and carrot sticks on the childrens laps, Deven got a little upset the other day when hers weed on her and left a series of poos all over the towel, some of which had fallen off onto her skirt! The fuss she made, and all this coming from a child who loves to let snails slime their way up her arms:rolleyes:

I mentioned in a previous post that the BBQ had gone well, what I didn't mention was I managed to put on 4lb that weekend:eek: Feeling better today though as I've lost 3lb of it, I'm thinking it was possibly water retention as I'd got very dehydrated with the alcohol so possibly my body decided to hold on tight to all the water I drank the next day (Oops nearly forgot, had a chinese Sunday night, so added salt too:eek::eek::eek:)

Anyway back on the straight and narrow this week:D Been to aerobics Monday and tonight and had a swim yesterday, haven't eaten anything naughty, in fact haven't wanted anything naughty. So am feeling contnet once more.

I mentioned the 4lb gain to a friend, who said she thought it was probably for the best as I was looking a bit too thin:eek: Have to be honest this statement threw me a bit, as she isn't the jealous type, isn't overweight herself and is a trusted friend. I worried about her comment for some time, then decided to be brave and ask some other friends, who all said I looked great and in no way looked too thin or gaunt. I thought I was over getting upset or worried about peoples comments, shows I was wrong about that! Other peoples opinions about me are obviously still important to me, I must work on that!

Great chatting to yuo again. No idea who moved the clocks foreward while we were chatting?

It's now 10pm on Thurs....surely you've had a call today!
Kath the CDC from B'ham said on another thread that a friend of hers had her call from Camb Y'day.
As you know I had my call because i'd got anxous & rang to ask for the results.

don't lose any more weight Tracey...don't want to see you in Babies Growbags:p

lost 3 of the 4lbs already = Fantastic.

I think that it was perfectly reasonable for you to take her comments to heart. She had no apparant reason to give you anything other than an unbiased & candid,if rather tactless opinion. That is a quite different situation from the 'worrying what others may think' thing. If she'd had weight/eating issues of her own,if she & you had had some previous niggles or disagreement then you'd probably have discounted her comment as being at least partly out of spite.
Anyway whatever her motivation, I for one can say with absolute conviction that you are neither too thin or gaunt.

I was really hoping to read that you've had your call today!

Attention Attention Light bulb Moment!

Tracey, i've just had a thought.
1.Earlier in the week Cambridge contacted you to update you on the plans they were proposing for your new sponsor.
2. during that conversation you asked how you'd done & were told that 'it would seem you'd passed' or words to that effect. It wasn't said more formally then thatas they hadn't begun the notification process at that stage.
3. Suppose that Gill hasn't rung you because she thinks that you already know that you've passed because of this conversation?

Ps you also know you haven't failed because they told me that they sent out letters to any who failed as soon as they finished the marking !

No idea if this makes sense, but it seems pretty plausible to me.

Hi Nikki

I spoke to HO today and there are some problems regarding setting me up with a new sponsor, so it's not looking like I'll know for a little while yet:sigh: I'm going away for 10 days next Friday, so as soon as I'm back, I'll ring them again to see what's happening!

How are you?????

Tracey
x

Hope you hear soon Tracey. If you had failed (very unlikely!) I'm sure you'd know by now ...... so i think you must have passed! My lady that i sponsored didn't pass her accreditation first time - and i went through it with her and she'd misunderstood some of the questions - and she passed next time.

Where are the photos of the guinea pigs??? Want to see them! Loved the tale of how Deven reacted!! Bless!

As far as your friend is concerned - if you are happy with yourself - that is what is important. Everyone has different perceptions of us and maybe in her opinion you had lost a little too much. But if everyone else is reassuring you - and you are happy then it sounds like you have it right.

Carry on with the bargains!!!

You're right, it just made me have a wobble moment as she is a very close friend who i know would never want to upset me etc. I thought maybe I couldn't see what other people see, if that makes sense! I am comfortable now, still have wobbly bits etc. but nothing I can't hide under some newly aquired bargains;)

Carry on with the bargains!!!

I reckon even if I won the lottery (which would be a miracle because I don't do it:rolleyes:) I would still buy most of my stuff in the sales! I get such a buzz from looking at the before price and knowing how much I've saved:D I know, poor sad woman:eek:

Friday 13th  July

Had a row with Scott. He works really hard and is extremely good at his job, however a businessman he aint! I gently asked him to chase up some money owed to him for some recent jobs as we are going away next week. It turned into a huge squabble in front of his workmates (I had to take his mobile to him as he'd left it at home:rolleyes:) The row ended with him saying 'well we won't go away then', and me wheelspinning off down the farm track:cool: Still not really speaking (mainly down to me:eek:) and until I'm banking the outstanding cheques, he's in for a hard time!;)

Kim got offered the job! They are paying £3.30 per hour:eek: consequently Kim's not taking up their kind offer:p I can't believe that's a legal amount for them to pay!!!! It's disgusting.

Deven came home with more pets, nits this time:eek: so spent the evening combing through her hair, she insisted I show her one of the nits on the comb and her reaction was ahhhh, as if it was the sweetest thing she'd ever seen!

Rang CD HO today and things are still not that straight forward at the moment, so have said that when I return from hols, I'll ring again to see if the situation has been sorted. Good things come to those who wait.

Harley bought home her school report and it was so lovely to read it, all positive comments on her progress, she's had a few difficulties with her reading and writing. Her teacher wrote that although Harley was still below the national average, her progress was so good that in no time if she continues to progress as she has been, she'll catch up :D I was very relieved, as I have had my worries. Consequently Harley has been praised to the hilt and spent the afternoon and evening parading around like a peacock. To add to her pleasure, she's spent the evening with me doing girlie things and staying up late. Cameron is staying at a friends house, Deven fell asleep early, Kim was out and Scott was sulking in the garage. It's not often I get one to one time with Harley, so we both had a lovely evening:)

not sad! financially continent... & well you know it!
You realise what a rare beast you are not doing the lottery.
I've never had a ticket either. I think we're something like 1% of the population, or were at the height of it's popularity.

Dear Tracey and Jane,

I have been checking this thread daily to see how you both got on with your training - I am so happy that the ending to the story seems to be a happy one. I think you will both make excellent councellors.

Tracey I do so love reading your diary - your kids sound fantastic. Deven and the nits heeheehee - priceless.

My sisters girls have a pet hamster who escaped last week and has not been seen since - My mum was walking them home from town the other day and asked the youngest Grace if she would like a ham sandwich when they got home. Bless her, at hearing this she stopped dead in her tracks, grabbed hold of her Nanas arm with a look of horror on her face and screamed "Nana not made with real hamsters!?!".

I was quite interested to read about the comment your friend made about your loss. As my loss is becoming more and more noticeable a couple of my close friends who have previously been supportive have started telling me maybe I should stop now even though I am still approx 2 st overweight. I have reflected a lot on why they feel like this - is it jealously or a difference in perception of a healthy weight/size. I have come to the conclusion that it is most likely shock. CD gives such an amazing weight loss in a very short space of time compared to conventional diets and as such our visual transformation over this short space of time is quite astonishing - I still get a shock now when I look in the mirror and see my much smaller body and I think it will take a while for me to adjust to and get used to be a more-mini-lady. I think some of my friends possibly need time to get used to the new smaller me and perhaps their comments that I have lost enough are just because their brains as well as mine have not caught up with my weight loss yet. They say skin takes an additional 4 weeks to catch up with every stone lost - maybe some people are the same ;).

Have a fab weekend ladies.

:rotflmao: Poor little thing she must have been horrified!!!!
Ahhhh:) The things children say are so priceless! When I first read this it made me think of the programme 'Malcolm in the middle' My children love watching that and in one series the pet hamster escapes in one of those little plastic exercise ball things, then in each episode you see it rolling down the road etc.:D

I think your right, I have never been slim (until now:D) so it must be so difficult for people to adjust, as you have said it all happens so quickly! Also I think it's a caring thing, and they test us to see what our reaction might be and then can assess whether we are becoming obsessed etc. I think maybe I'd have been the same pre diet and it was one of my friends. However knowing how good the diet is and makes us feel, I want to shout it from the roof tops.

The skin thing is interesting. Mine is just getting a little better now, still have a wrinkly bum and tummy though:eek: But I'd noticed my arms and boobs especially looked like that of a 80 yr old:eek: But now are a lot firmer etc. I would presume age has something to do with it all too, and being 40 I guess I'll still have to splash out on all the lotions and potions which promise an ageless body:rolleyes:;)

Have a fab weekend ladies.

Thank you

Thanks so much Ruth for your lovely post and well done on your weight loss so far:D Please feel free to pop by anytime it will be lovely to hear from you:):)

Have a lovely weekend

I think Ruthlet is probably spot on with her assessment of peoples tendancy to tel us 'we've lost enough' when still well into the overweight bracket.

glad to hear that your bum & boobs are improving. Also means there's hope for me too. Wrinkles & crinkles seem to be appearing all over at present. Not too much of a worry in the rain but not sure I'd be keen for anyone other than the H & kids to see me swimsuited, which is a shame, but still so much better than being a blob!

hope W/E going well.
I'm off to darkest Herefordshire tomorrow to see my CDC who's hopefully just back from 3 weeks in spain.
OOOh bet she's all brown & glowing.

Hi Tracey,

Not too good, op is on Monday, dreading being put out, but once out I don't mind... it is going to be hard, not being able to pick George up!!

Hope you have some news soon!

Monday 16th July

I am sooooo angry:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I have 4 gorgeous cats which I love and adore, unfortunately my neighbour dosen't feel the same! He's lived next door for about 18months now and never speaks or even acknowledges us (or anyone else in the neighborhood). About 2 months ago he put up some straw stuff, the stuff you can buy on a roll from a garden centre, along the top of our adjoining fence. I've heard him lots of times shouting at the cats and realised this straw was put up as a deterent for them to go and poo all in his flowerbeds. I fully understand how frustrating this must be for someone who dosen't have pets of their own, I wouldn't like to be weeding the pansy beds and end up with a handful of cat poo! However, the straw barricade has failed and the cats have been clambering over it (they tell me he has great soil;)) So his latest ploy is to sharpen the thicker bits of straw and run a length of chicken wire along, which has been cut so that the sharp points of wire are sticking out of the top of the straw:eek::mad::eek::mad:. I was fuffing furious!!! so took out the wire and stood on his doorstep whacking the wire against the palm of my hand. Anyway, he didn't come to the door, his car was in the drive and his windows were open so I know he knew I was there. I shouted that he was a cat maiming coward and went back to my house. I have since calmed down enough not to want to go back and garrot him with his wire. I've phoned the RSPCA and lodged a complaint against him, they told me it was against the law for him to have done this, and would be looking into the situation. I've kept the wire and I said I was going to go out and cut the straw level but they've told me to leave it as this is evidence (dosen't help my cats if they get impailed though:mad:).

Then I panicked as we're going away on Friday for 10 days and my eldest daughter will be staying at home to look after cats, piggies, snails etc. Luckily my mother-in-law has a cattery, which at this time of year is usually quite full, but she's told me she has a free large pen, so my puddies will be safe:)

I can't believe someone can be so callous!! All he has to do is invest in a powerful water gun and spurt the cats whenever he sees them, they'll soon learn not to go into his terratory. But no he'd rather let them get cut to pieces:sigh:

On a lighter note, we have fixed up the caravan floor today and laid those cheap self adhesive tiles you can get from B&Q, so caravan looking lovely and will be far easier to keep clean. Why do they put light coloured carpet in caravans:confused:

Also invested in crocs for me and the girls, they'll be great if weather is wet, also great for the showers on the campsite, I've got a thing about campsite showers:eek: I hate them as the floors are always covered in mud off other peoples feet and grass! So crocs are the perfect solution:):) I asked if Scott or Cameron wanted a pair and they both laughed and said just because the girls and I didn't mind looking daft they didn't want to:rolleyes: They can suit themselves, I don't mind if they get all nice and clean in the showers and come out with grass and mud still stuck to their feet, and they can wear muddy damp trainers all week :p;) Mine and the girls feet will smell like roses!:p

Hi Tracey

OMG - your neighbour sounds like such and ar$e. I don't have cats myself as I am violently allergic to them - I would love one as we are not home enough to have a dog but they make me too poorly not to mention the OH thinks they are spawn of satan!! We frequently find their little presents in the garden and when I planted my flower pots many of the local cats took a liking to scratching my seeds up and using them as a toilet . However, I would never ever do anything like your neighbour has - I have sown seeds for some of the plant species that cats don't like and covered my seeds in pots until they are big enough that the cats leave them alone - I have also found the main culprit for the pot violation and taken to shooing him out of my garden whenever I see him and now, as you said in your post, he has learnt to stay out of our garden. I just feel that if you choose to live in a built up area you have to accept that cats will most likely frequent your garden - I am really pleased to hear that you have reported the bar-steward to the RSPCA.

I am glad that the cats will be safe and sound on their own mini holiday while you are enjoying yours:).

I have been toying with the idea of crocs - trouble is these days I am going in and out of clothes so fast that I can bearly afford to keep myself clothed and not looking like a bag lady let alone buy new footwear :p. I have seen some cheap imitation crocs on the high st - maybe I could have a pair of those instead.

Good to hear that wrinkles and crinkles do improve after the weight has come off - I am still holding out in hope that my skin can shrink back the way I would like it to but we will just have to wait and see ;). I keep looking at all the apparantly all singing all dancing bliss treatments(bliss > bliss the firm warfare duo) but I am not sure I am ready to part with the cash right now so soon after my holiday lol.

If I don't get on here again before Friday I hope you have a lovely holiday - will miss catching up on your happenings while you are gone but will look forward to hearing about the holiday when you are back.

Take care xx

Hope they're wise enough to stay off until someones come & seen it.
There was a thread a few months back from someone who's neighbour had cemented bit of broken bottle into the top of their party wall. there was quite a bit of information there about legal aspects, but afraid i haven't a clue who, when or where it was.
No choice under the circs. neither you nor kim would be able to relax for the whole 10day other wise.

i agree, water pistols work fine.they get the message quite quickly.
On a lighter note, we have fixed up the caravan floor today and laid those cheap self adhesive tiles you can get from B&Q, so caravan looking lovely and will be far easier to keep clean. Why do they put light coloured carpet in caravans:confused:
this is because caravan manufacturers are stuck in a 1980's time warp when the world was brown & cream. & they believe that all caravan owners are obsessional couples in their 60's who wear beige anoraks & never step in puddles.

Mine and the girls feet will smell like roses!:p
yup! & be warm, & dry v quickly & not get hurt by bits of grit on the washroom floor, & be cool & trendy. infact there's so few reasons for getting crocs I can quite see the sense in the boys' decision:rolleyes:

I've seen these fake crocs. well I thought they were the real thing. cost a bout a fiver! one person I know said they were just as good & set off my mean streak, as i'd just spent good money on the real ones for the family & could ave saved quite a bit.

Then someone else I know said she'd heard that they get mor sweaty than the real ones. Hard to see how. But there again sweaty feet isn't really a big problem this summer whear as shoes that dry in 5 mins & don't make your feet cold & wrinklyin the process would seem to be v useful.
