Hi everyone.

I'm new to slim and save.

I have alot of weight to lose. I'm 21st 3lb and need to get down to 14stone ish initially to reach a weight where I can be accepted to the fertility clinic.

My end goal is to be 9 st 3lb.

Hi 2129, welcome aboard. Ive just restarted slim & save today with at least 5 stone to lose. How r u finding the packs?

Well ive only had a chilli one so far.

And to be honest I thought it wasnt very nice.

Haha but its only to keep me going I never expected it to taste nice. I'm sure if I played around with herbs and seasoning it wouldnt be so bad. I think the taste takes some getting used to.

May get the taster pack and see what I do and dont like :)

When I did S&S 1st time round it was the taster pack I ordered & most of them I loved but there were a few that I really couldn't stomach again which is quite novel for me as I can usually stomach EVERYTHING lol
Ive read a few post where people say ones u once loved u then go off so I must be careful not to order too many the same incase that happens. I once tried exante & they were vile so I was very pleased when I tried s&s and liked them. Good luck on ur journey just stay focused x

Really? I'd better get a selection when I do my order after the taster. Myum used to love the chilli and spag bol. But she went off them too. She now likes mushroom pasta and mac cheese one which she hated before.

wow those r 2 of the ones Im not so keen on. I emailed them this morning to ask if I placed a 28 day order ( since I only have 4 packs it'll last me 5 weeks so great value) would they consider throwing in a free shaker (worth £3.99) & they agreed :D If u don't ask you don't get lol Handy for out & about as I found the bars didn't fill me up but made me crave choc & biscuits!

These tips are super useful! If I remember right the bars are quite small?

Yeah im having 4pack+meal or 5packs because I have so much to lose

Just uad a strawberry shake and it was yummy! I found something I like! :)

How long have you been doing sns? Do you have a diary?

X

I did it months ago for just over 3 weeks & lost

15lbs week 1, 5lbs week 2 & 2lbs week 3.
Felt amazing & cld really notice I wasn't so 'puffy' but for a number of reasons I fell of the wagon & never got back on so today is day 1 of the new chapter & I hope I can stick with it. Hoping that by forking out £150 on my 5 weeks supply that I can stick with it. I have at least 5 stone to lose prob more but will do it with 4 packs a day. No diary on the go but perhaps I shld. May help keep me on the straight & narrow or bore everyone to the biscuit tin lol

Wow. 22lb in 3 weeks is amaze!

Yeah im hoping by forking out a fortune soon I'll stick to it. But we shall see. I'm not gonna be too hard on myself.

Like tonight im of for my best friends birthday. Luckily its chinese so I can pick a low carb option and have a couple of vodkas before ketosis gets here!

I started a diary in the hopes of someone reading my insane ramblings! Haha

My mum said loads of water is super important? How much is loads?

Hope u had a fab niteout 2129.
The age old question of how much is too much water  Some people say 3 litres which includes any used with shakes etc others swear by 3 litres on addition to amount used for shakes/meals so I don't really know. I always think the more I drink, within reason, the better I lose. I can quite easily drink 3 litres of water a day. Last time around I found a glass of sparkling water felt like quite a treat also the occasional can of coke zero (must check if its still allowed)
I must find ur diary so I can check up on u lol
Day 1 over for me & Im feeling great.

Fab well done lovely!!! Xx

You can have coke zero :) thanks for the tip on sparkling water, must try it!!

They say 2L or over is ideal, including what you use in the packs. I'm having between 2-2.5L and am losing weight but I do get hungry so maybe I need to up that!!!!

Good luck :)

The thing with 'too much water' is stupidly excessive drinking, like drinking a weeks supply in one sitting to where it becomes dangerous. The water recommendations on VLCD's came after someone died doing just that I think - before it was always 'at least 3 litres'. I've had issues with drinking enough, but find I tend to lose more when I drink more and don't think theirs a limit as long as your sensible.
