New Year... New Start - onwards and downwards.

I don't know why, it doesn't make sense to me at all. You can't have cooked or blended fruit. Not sure if you can have tinned fruit either actually.

How much was your soup maker Mel? Do you not have an Aldi near you? Some people are quite snooty about Aldi but for their chicken etc they actually have higher standards than Tesco and the like.

I think mine was £49. It was well reviewed.

Tinned fruit is a healthy extra b. think you can't have blended fruit as they are higher in calories generally. For example, blend 2 bananas and you have a pretty high calorie smoothie. Think they say you eat more if it's blended and with higher calorie things that could be pretty bad.

Makes sense -- that's why fruit juice is often a no no on a diet. You can drink a lot of calories.

Yeah I got the concept, if you want say a smoothie you'll use more fruit then you would just eat but then that seems the same with veg surely? That's the bit that confuses me.

Will keep an eye out for a soup maker then. I'd like a great big pan for making big batches of soup too.

I think it's just that fruit has more sugar and prob more calories whereas veg has less sugar?

Yeah but you can have endless fruit raw... I don't know, I've just accepted it as one of those things I won't understand lol

Popped into a wedding dress shop after work just to have a chat about the process of ordering, how long it takes and to get some advice about how to approach it what with losing weight. Basically, it's going to take 6 months for anything that isn't straight off the rack. She said I can give a size 6 months before even if I was to order now and there's up to a size give in them, 2 if you have a lace up back. She even persuaded me to try one on! I didn't feel like a whale, it was surprising! Decided I definitely want a veil though and know the style I like.

It was a two layer veil I tried on, fairly simple but nice.. thought it added the finishing touches nicely. This is the dress, it was £975 though so think I'll be finding a cheaper alternative!

Holy cow that model has huge boobs and no waist, lol!!!

Haha I know... looked a bit different on me! I really liked it though, shame I don't have £975 in my budget for it!

1360 compare to Maggie Sottero Wedding Dresses - Style Mirin A3562

I've found that website and they sell dresses at a fraction of the price. I could try on the dress it's meant to be like and I'll know whether I like the style but the fact that it's all online and I can't see it before hand makes me worry about the quality and stuff.

You could do with getting some testimonials from the sight. I think it's a great idea, but like you said you have no way of knowing the quality etc.

I googled and found two threads about them, the majority were positive. A friend actually bought her dress from there and loved it. I think as long as I ordered with plenty of time for delays and to find an off the rack (plus alterations) replacement it would be OK. There's a couple I really like that are similar to designer ones, so could always try them to know whether I like them. I'd probably ask for material samples too.

Evening Caz!

I love the dress -- have you considered a Juliette veil?

I'm ok, tired! Long-ish day at work, meeting after school to find out what happens when we become an academy in December, then home to do a bit of school work and then I've been working on my nutritionist course the rest of the evening.

What's a Juliette veil Mel?

They come simple or fancy with beading and lace -- but usually it is a partial cap with a finger tip length veil attached.

Ah nice but not sure it's quite me, would look lovely with something lacy though.
