Nicola's Cuba Countdown

Yep definitely out of my system now, just hope it doesn't cost me too many lbs on the scales :( Tomorrow is a new day x

Oh honey! Don't be hard on yourself - sometimes we do daft things. You've done so well this week, I'm sure you won't have don't much scale damage. You're back on it now and that's all that matters.xxx

I really hope so - I was meant to be being good this weekend so I could enjoy my birthday night out on Tues guilt-free... doh! x

You do it cos we are so close to our targets that it feels like we can do it and make up for it later! As soon as we've done it, we've potentially cheated ourselves of getting there a week quicker. BUT as long as we climb back on board, that's all that matters :) I'm finding it so incredibly difficult these days to stick to plan. And although I've still been getting weight off...that's not the point for me. Point is that once I'm at target I need to be fully in the zone. At the moment I'm not getting myself ready for maintaining at all.

Tomorrow is a new day...a new week! Get the crud out the house/ in a box that is hidden and think ahead! I haven't planned my meals in over a week now...time to get back on board :)

Enjoy your meal Tuesday still! Just make sure all the other days are meticulously planned out and you can work it off still :) :)

I think you're right Lauren, plus I knew I was going to have a few off-track days in the week already so I think the "oh sod it" mode kicked in! Will make sure the house is cleansed for tomorrow and have a fresh start of it again - 4 full days before weigh-in and only one meal where I want to be off plan, so let's aim for a maintain :) x

Sometimes things like that put more pressure on us.
Its my birthday this week too x

Yep agreed, it's like the whole "saving syns for / cutting back on syns after" scenario, always makes it more difficult to stick to plan. Happy birthday in advance to you! :)

Scales are showing me everything I need to know this morning... 10st 12.5lbs... 3lbs of the 4.5lbs lost now back on following that binge, what a muppet!

Morning all,

well yesterday's lack of check-in says something about how proud I was of what I ate... :( Oh dear I have fallen off the wagon so so badly. I don't even want to start listing the crap I ate, but here's a good start to it as I need to be honest about how bad I was so I can start over afresh today: Bowl of All Bran Choc Crunch (started the day well!), whole box of Choc Fix Balls, whole pack of Mikado, Hoops & Crosses, Walkers Extra Crunchy Crisps (large bag), Milky Way, Honeycomb ice-cream with Salted Caramel Sauce, mini box of Celebrations (except the Bounty and the Snickers which I don't like), Wispa, Crusty Bread, Butter, Cheese, Ham... and I'm sure there was more. How disgusting is that?! :( Bad bad Nicola...

I've got heartburn today (unsurprisingly!!) and it still feels like all that food is sat on my chest, not a nice feeling at all and a rather uncomfortable reminder of how far I fell off the wagon yesterday!

So today I have got to get back on plan, as I am not loving the number on the scales at all of 10st 12.5lbs - it's dangerously close to me losing my 2st award at official weigh-in on Wednesday, and there's no way I'm letting that go! I've already lost the healthy BMI which is bad enough...

Breakfast: Grapefruit, Banana, Strawberries
Snacks: Danio Strawberry (1)
Lunch: Pasta with Goats Cheese (HEA), Tomato & Basil (0.5 for Bertolli Spray)
Snacks: Cherries, Hifi (HEB)
Dinner: McCains 3% Chips (2), Quorn Burgers (1), Peas & Salad

I can do this, I can get back on plan and get some of that binge weight back off.... wish me luck!! x

Awwww Nicola, it'll be okay!! Monday still classes as a new week really ;) I know exactly how you feel, it's getting harder and harder to stay on plan.

Make sure you make time to go shopping this week for snacks, I think that is going to help you. Perhaps stock up on 1% mugshots to beat some cravings?? Also maybe some meat fillers and lettuce leaves- lettuce is a good replacement for me for wraps/bread as it slightly tricks me into satisfying the need to put fillings on top of bread! :p

Have you got the little book of lunches?? I need to dig mine out actually but think its now packed away, there's loads of little snack ideas in there. I think you need to stick a big old message on your fridge/cupboard to remind you that you have food you can snack on that won't leave you with the guilt after!

Also for a chocolate fix, mikado is really good but perhaps try the vanilla choc sprinkled mullerlight??

All just suggestions/reminders for you, as I know how you are feeling right now. However I am really sure that when you go back to work...that'll switch it all back on for you again!! I know my two weeks off didn't help at all to get back on the wagon! Now I'm back, it has 100% helped to be less bored/naughty :) :)

Cheer up...you'll get there this week or next!!

Just get back on plan as soon as you can! That's my advice! I had a BBQ on Saturday & ended up eating 2 x hot dogs, pork chops, eaton mess & so on.. haha.. luckily my weight hasn't shifted.. YET!! I'm dreading it catching up so I'm back on plan 100% again, superspeed foods all the way!
I've been feeling a lot like chocolate lately (think it's the weather) why don't you try & add some chocolate in the daytime (within your syns) do you think that would help?? I bought a massive bag of Cadbury mishapes (mainly caramel cups etc) from Chesire oaks a few weeks back & now, every day I'll take two out of the bag & it just makes me feel like I'm having a big treat (sad I know) but they are only about 6 syns.. maybe more (the equivelent of 2 Roses chocs). I also try and curb sweet cravings by having my daily alpen bar or Hi Fi rocky road (just one for speed)! If you crave savoury things, try the Special K crisps which are amazing & this week I bought some melba toasts (0.5 syns each) & I spread a but of lightest philly on them. It just keeps the binges at bay for me :)
Don't deny yourself anything at all, because the minute you reach your GW you don't want to go back to eating what you were & watch the weight come back slowly.. we had an indian/chinese last weekend and Colin (the other half) put on 4lbs just for that weekend. It was scary how it came back so quick!! We've both decided that now we are reaching our goal weights that we are allowing ourselves more treats and so on, just so our bodies are re-introduced slowly (does that make sense)? So every couple of weeks we WILL have a chinese or something but get back on plan right away. & just keep an eye on the scales! That's the great thing about SW, even if you do end up having something naughty - most of it could be within your syn allowance! Good luck, if you're back on plan, that binge shouldn't even have affected your massive overall loss anyway! You've done AMAZING!! xx

It happens hun, just draw a line under it and start a fresh. You have done really well overall just look back at what you have achieved and that should make you feel loads better. :bighug:xxxxxx

Aw thank you all for the kind words, I needed the kick up the bum :) I've been to tesco and have stocked up on fruit, sushi and lots of other low syn snacks so hopefully I can prevent this happening again in the near future! I only have to look in the mirror and at the label on my jeans to remind myself how far I've come, but I think the psychological changes take longer to take effect than the physical ones - I haven't even been depriving myself to trigger that binge, it was just a full on "stuff my face" weekend...

I think getting back into routine when I go back to work on Thursday will help, I'm a nightmare when I'm at home with free access to the fridge!!

Today's been good so far, I went for a nice wander around town for a few hours to clock up a bit of body magic and to make the most of being off and being able to go into town while it's nice and quiet for once :D

Breakfast: Peach (couldn't eat anything more due to that horrible full feeling on my chest!)
Lunch: Goats Cheese (HEA), Tomato & Basil Pasta (0.5), Grapes, Banana, Strawberries

Evening update... I'm feeling much more in control again :)

I've just made a huge pot of sweet potato & veg soup, and am going to have a bowl of that before every meal until Weds weigh-in to try and help minimise my main meal portion sizes.

I've also just made a pot of the overnight oats so will be giving those a go for breakfast tomorrow morning - it makes so much even with just the 35g of oats, can't imagine eating it all in one sitting?! I was going to get my traditional birthday breakfast of croissants and apricot jam, but decided it just wasn't worth the syns given the very naughty few days I've had, so overnight oats it is instead!

I'm actually looking forward to tonight's healthy tea of McCains 3% fries and Quorn Burgers, and the cravings for chocolate and other rubbish have finally left me. Although I suspect they might come back tomorrow, I'm looking forward to a nice glass of vino tomorrow night! :D

So here's today's final summary and tomorrow's rough plan...

Breakfast: Peach
Lunch: Goats Cheese (HEA), Tomato & Basil Pasta (0.5), Grapes, Banana, Strawberries
Snacks: Cherries, Strawberries, 2 Polo Mints (1?)
Dinner: Soup, 200g McCains 3% Chips (2), 2 Quorn Burgers (1), Cucumber, Tomato, Mayo (0.5)
Snacks: 200ml Koko Chocolate Milk (HEA), SK Chewy Delight (HEB), 60g Dried Apricots (HEB), 10 Mikado Sticks (5)

Summary (Green): 2 x HEA, 2 x HEB, 10 Syns

Tomorrow...
Breakfast: Overnight Oats (HEB)
Lunch: Sushi (1.5), Soup, Apricots, Peach, Banana
Dinner: Birthday Dinner - Meal out so syns TBC and will definitely involve at least a couple of glasses of vino! :D
