Nicola's Cuba Countdown

That sounds fantastic! I went a few years ago which is why I want to go back. It is without doubt the best place I have ever been! I had the sorest feet ever on my last day because I walked so much the day before! The fountains at the Bellagio made me cry too they were so amazing! And the Grand Canyon is breath taking it just doesn't look real somehow even when you are there! Have a good day :)
 
I went to Vegas in 2008 and it was amazing, everything is so over the top and in your face! Definitely do the Grand Canyon tour, the place is really beautiful and you get to pass through Arizona which is lovely and scenic x

A very busy day at work today and reallllly just wanted to eat (my favourite procrastination technique when under pressure!), but stuck to plan for another 100% day :)

Exercise: Gym (30 mins on bike)

Lunch: BBQ Turkey Sandwich (HEB) with Turkey Pieces, Mixed Salad & Lighter than Light Mayo (0.5), Apple, Peach, Grapes, Tea (0.5)
Dinner: Chilli Con Carne with Brown Rice, Yogurt & 40g Reduced Fat Cheddar (HEA)
Snacks: Pack of Ham, sugarfree mints (0.5), Eton Mess made with Strawberries, Mini Meringues (2) & Creamfields Light (1)

Summary (EE): 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 6 Syns, 30 mins Exercise
 
Thanks Jodie! Feel much better for it, it's quite nice to be back in a routine :) Going to get my bum to the gym tomorrow for a third morning in a row, hopefully it'll help minimise the gain I'm almost certain to see tomorrow night at weigh-in!! Have got a big scary meeting with the bigwigs at work tomorrow, so will probably have to go to the later group as don't think it'll finish early enough to get to my usual one, maybe the extra couple of hours of not eating before getting weighed will help too! ;)

I've had 5 days like you Nic, absolutely horrible to be off plan, no exercise for over a week..hate how quickly I've slipped! We can both get back to routine together now =)

Evening ladies!

Well it was the fateful weigh-in day where I had to face up to how naughty I've been.... 3lbs on!! :eek: ooooops! That means I've lost my 2st award by 2lbs, so that has got to be sorted and pronto!! 5.5lbs on in 2 weeks!!

Am feeling proper bloated and horrible today too, TOTM is due any hour now and my belly looks like a bowling ball, not nice! But it's all an incentive to just get myself back on plan and sorted so I can start feeling better in myself again. It's so weird that I'm still actually only 1lb heavier than I was before I went on holidays, but I feel twice the size!! The lbs seem so much more noticeable when they creep on when you're a bit smaller - when I was 13st+ I didn't really notice the odd lb or 3 sneaking on!! One of my size 14 skirts feels snug today whereas I've been wearing size 12s for the past month!!

Anyway, on a positive note, made it to the gym again this morning so that's 3 days in a row now, am officially back in routine! :D And pilates is back on tomorrow night and I'm really looking forward to it, am so glad to have gotten back into my body magic as I just know that'll make me feel better about myself :)

Was really good foodwise all day, have been a bit naughty tonight, although not horrifically so, so shouldn't set me off on the wrong foot for the week or anything...

Breakfast: Mullerlight, Apple
Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup, Peach, Grapes
Snack: Rice Krispies Squares Rocky Road ()
Dinner: Bacon Butties (HEB + 3)
Snacks: 5 Roses Chocs (12.5 if 2.5 each?), Hoops & Crosses (4.5), 45g Hotel Chocolat chocolate (?), bit of Butterscotch icecream (throwing rest away, not really enjoying it), glass of wine (6), 30g cheese (HEA)

Summary: 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, too many syns, 30 mins exercise, 3lbs on!!


Tomorrow is a new day and a new week - I'm going to stay within my syns, try to do exercise every day, get plenty of sleep, plenty of water, and generally look after myself :) Have got lunch and dinner sorted for tomorrow (sushi for lunch and chilli for dinner), and then will sit down and write my new menu for the week tomorrow night, might have to try out something new as haven't done that for a while :)

Halfway through the week, big scary presentation to bigwigs done at work today, so the weekend is calling! :D

Well done! You will get back in the 10's by tomorrow! :D I'm just about to update my diary now because... I am now (FINALLY) in the 10's! Yay! I couldn't believe it this morning (because I'm on TOTM as well - thanks mother nature!) I was all bloated and my belly felt watery all last week. However bathroom scales showed 10st 12 (& a half) & the wii showed up at 10st 13lbs! I nearly cried, it has been THAT long. Weigh in is tonight.. which is annoying because I know I might not be in the 10's officially (SW scales - damn you)! Hopefully there'll still be a loss though (I was 11st 2.5lbs last week)!

Isn't it great to finally feel like 'us' again? I've missed my old jeans & other tshirts that I used to stretch with my boobs haha.. x I'm so glad I discovered SW! x

Yayy well done you getting into the 10s, that is fab!! :D And yes it really is amazing to feel like ourselves again - my only problem now is that 95% of my wardrobe is too big for me, but I refuse to buy any more clothes until I get down to the next size! :D x

I saw them on your diary, knew you'd said they were low syn!! They were very yummy, and a lovely treat for today's lunch! :D If you get one little gain in all these months, and you've really enjoyed your week off plan, then what does it matter :) We all have to let our hair down occasionally and it's better to do it for a restricted period of time than to fall off the wagon altogether xx

Right end of day check-in... TOTM finally arrived so hopefully that'll be the last of the bloating over and done with for a while! :)

Found it easy to stay on plan today which was lovely - I even made a good choice when I got a savoury snack attack after my lunch and went and got 2 boiled eggs from the canteen instead of crisps haha! :D

Was back at Pilates today too, I just love it and have missed it so much!! I thought it might be really difficult after 4 weeks off, but there was only one move where I wasn't able to do the advanced version, so I haven't lost my fitness just yet, phew! :D

Finally got to see the photos from my birthday this evening as they were all on a friend's camera (mine broke on holiday :(), and it's sooo nice to only want to untag myself on the ones where I look really tipsy rather than the ones where I look really fat! :D And I have to say, if anyone had told me 6 months ago that I would look like that on my 33rd birthday.... it feels like such an achievement even thought I'm not quite at target yet and will look and feel even better by the time I get there! :D

Have just written up my menu for the coming week too so am feeling all ready and set for that - have got 2 potential obstacles... the ex's mum is coming over for a cuppa and catch-up on Sat afternoon, and I've also been invited out to drinks at the pub, so need to ensure cake and/or alcohol features in neither! And have got my parents coming up on Sunday (belated birthday visit) to take me out for a meal - am going to decline mum's offer of bringing a chocolate guinness cake with her, even though it does sound amazing, and will try to make healthy choices when out for dinner :)

Tomorrow I'm getting up early to get gym done in the morning before work, and then am planning to finish up at lunchtime and get out into the garden to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! :D Lots of lovely food planned too, I love being able to cook my lunch rather than having to rely on a salad, sandwich or soup!

Fingers crossed for nearer to the 10s on the scales tomorrow ;)
