Nicola's Cuba Countdown

I did it! Off-site day successfully navigating! :D

Hey welcome back! And loads of luck with getting your weight off, you can do it :) x

Well as above, I managed to stick to my plan, and ended up eating even more fruit than planned by making that the only tray from the lunch provided that I allowed myself to pick at! I resisted quiches and sandwiches and crisps, yay me! :D Watching Great British Bake Off now and torturing myself though haha! ;)

Breakfast: WW Greek Yogurt (0.5), Boiled Eggs with sliver of Butter (0.5), Tea (0.5)
Snacks: Banana, Tea (0.5)
Lunch: Sushi (3), Pineapple, Kiwi, Strawberries
Snacks: Fruit salad (Grapes, Raspberries, Blueberries)
Dinner: Goats Cheese & Basil Tortelloni (7) with Parmesan (HEA)
Snacks: Rocky Road Hifi Light (HEB)

Summary (Green): 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB, 12 Syns

Weigh-in tomorrow, was half a lb heavier on my scales this morning, am hoping that was just from last night's huge tea and not mother nature's doing... so everything crossed for a better result tomorrow morning and then following that, at official weigh-in tomorrow night!! :) I'd love to be 10st 13lbs on the official scales, as that would be my 2st loss back, and I'd only need another 0.5lbs next week to have lost my whole holiday weight in 2 weeks :) I know I've been 100% this week at least, so whatever will be will be.

How are you all doing? Finding it ok to stay on plan now the autumn weather's setting in? xx

Nic, can you tell me how you work out your syns for filled pasta, I love the stuff but am wary to eat it as I am unsure how to syn it :/

x

Hot chocolate for this evening ;)

Nomnomnom!! :D Couldn't have one tonight as had already used up my HEA on my parmesan, but there may be one on the cards again tomorrow night! PS. Great choice of cup, Creme Eggs rank up there in my favourite things in the world ;)

I looked them up on Syns Online - these are the Sainsbury's ones :) But could use the Syns Calculator if they weren't on there. None of them are very low syn, you're looking at 3 or 4 Syns minimum for half a pack, but they are yummy! And to think I used to cheat and count these as free food! No wonder I didn't lose any weight last year haha! x

I know right! I would love to have dropped a creme egg into it tonight. . But I do not feel that would be too sw friendly ;)

Ahhh I see.. I love the stuff and will keep that in mind, only thing being is that i do not have access to the online tools soni would just be able to get the info from on here..

Cheers love!

Oooh I forgot to mention today's Non-Scale-Victory.... I bobbed into H&M this evening for a little browse, and came back out with a whole big bag full of clothes... and the victorious bit was that they are ALL either M or 12!! :D And to think that not so long ago I couldn't even get into the XLs and 16s in there!

I bagged myself two lovely dresses for work for a bargain £10 each (they've got a sale on, reduced from about £25 each!), a gorgeous little layered top which I can't wait to wear, a new comfy hoody for when I start running again, and two more sparkly t-shirt tops! :D So much for my shopping ban til xmas ;)

But the cutest thing I got was this bag!!

I really need a night out now so it can have its first outing! :D

Morning ladies!

Pleasantly surprised by the scales this morning at 10st 12.25lbs :D I really hope that means I can get the 10st 13lbs I want for tonight's official weigh-in (it's always a bit different by the end of the day and by the time clothes are added to the equation!)... so keep everything crossed for me!

Today's plan...green

Breakfast: Yogurt, Banana
Lunch: Soup (from work canteen), Fruit Salad (Grapes, Raspberries, Blueberries), Ryvita Minis (HEB)
Dinner: Garlic Mushroom Pizza (HEA x 2, HEB) & Skinny Fries with BBQ Sauce

Perfect post-WI meal tonight Nic!! Do you use the WW pittas as HEB?

You've just reminded me to add ryvita minis to my shopping list - love the salt and vinegar ones! Noooommmmm!

Good luck for tonight! Such a potentially big loss this week - it's as if Vegas never even happened!! xx

I've never tried the WW pittas, are they ok? When I saw them in Tesco they were all broken, so wondered if they're a bit dry?? I use Sainsbury's Wholemeal Wraps as the base for my pizzas, I think they're 8.5 Syns but I cheat and allow them as a HEB, naughty! Today was the first time I'd tried Ryvita Minis, they're not too bad! Will have to remember to keep some in :)

Welllllll...... I did it!! :D 10st 13lbs exactly, and a 4.5lb los!! :D :D Very happy with that, just another 0.5lbs to go before the Vegas weight is gone, and another 3lbs after that will get me back to my lowest! :D So a few more weeks hard work and hopefully I'll be well on my way to that! Enjoying my post weigh-in tea and treats now with Monday's episode of Downton Abbey, bliss! :D

Breakfast: Yogurt (0.5), Banana, Tea (0.5)
Lunch: Salad with Pasta (3 for Syns in dressing and little chunks of Mozzarella), Sugarfree Jelly (0.5), Grapes, Raspberries, Blueberries, Tea (0.5), Ryvita Minis (HEB)
Snacks: Apple, Tea (0.5)
Weigh-in: 4.5lbs off
Dinner: Margherita Wrap Pizza (HEA x 2, HEB x 1), Tub of Cherry Tomatoes
Dessert: Eton Mess (4)
Snacks: Crispello (7.5), Freddo (5)

Summary (Green): 2 x HEA, 2 x HEB, 21.5 Syns, 4.5lbs off :D

Awww I need your help this week nic, I lost 1lb today but I need these 4lbs gone! Everyday I'm struggling to be motivated. I'm constantly reading things online to spur myself on but a moment of weakness keeps creeping on me! :-/ I dunno how but I've forgotten how to overcome it. I should have took fat photos of myself! Could have stick it to every cupboard door and inside my purse, stop me buying junk I don't actually have to give in to! >.<

Aw don't beat yourself up too much, you're only 4lbs from target! But, on the advice side, don't buy the naughty things!! If they're in the house it's just far too easy for them to be consumed... I always used to buy the bags of funsize chocs, and then realised that I was eating the whole bags in a week just because they were there! Go out with only the money you need in your purse, and you won't be tempted to buy the unneccesary things ;) xx

It's a shame I buy everything with debit card then haha. I will try especially hard this week and imagine you wagging your finger at me =D tee hee

Hahaha... happy to be of help!! Just imagine this... :nono:

It's so easily done there, those buffets were amazing but a killer for weight gain! I had scales in my room and had already put 3.5lbs on after 2 days there haha! ;)

So evening ladies!

I am so super exhausted tonight that I'm actually going straight to bed, and it's only 7.30pm!! Was a very early start this morning for a meeting that started at 8.30, and then it was meant to finish at 12.30 but actually finished at 2.30 - I was seriously hungry after that but had missed lunchtime at work so had to dip into the emergency rations of a mugshot... yum... not!! haha! On the plus-side I did do pilates and feel much more chilled after the manic week it's been - looking forward to finishing at lunchtime tomorrow (last time in the year that we can finish early, official end of summer for me!) and getting some calm restored to my life for a few days :)

Today's food...

Breakfast: WW Greek Yog (0.5), Tea (Milk from HEA)
Snacks: Banana, Satsuma, Tea
Lunch: Mugshot, Tea, Sugarfree Jelly (0.5), Apple
Exercise: Pilates
Dinner: Taiko Sushi Pack (2), Sainsbury's Chunky Beef & Dumpling Soup (HEB x 2)
Snacks: Crunchie (9.5)

Summary (Green): 1 x HEA, 2 x HEB, 12.5 Syns, Pilates

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz......

Afternoon ladies!

Work all done for the week, woohoo! :D I love lunchtime finishes, just a shame that's the last one this year! It's so glorious outside too, I was going to come home and have a long soak in the tub but it seems a shame to waste the sunshine while it sticks around, so I'm sitting with the back door open, a pile of SW magazines, and am planning my week of SW food with a lovely warm breeze blowing in :)

Am aching so much from Pilates, she really pushed us and now it hurts every time I cough, sneeze, or generally move anything between my ribcage and my hips! Ouch! But it's kind of a good pain, I know I've worked hard ;)

Green day today foodwise, as really fancy quorn burgers for my tea - am excited about them already haha :D

Breakfast: WW Yog (0.5), Tea (Splash of Milk from HEA)
Snacks: Banana, Satsumas
Lunch: Cheese & Broccoli Pasta n Sauce with an extra portion of Broccoli for superfree (100ml of Milk from HEA)
Snacks: Apple
Dinner: 2 Quorn Burgers (1) in Wholemeal Rolls (HEB x 2) with Cheese Slices (HEA), Ketchup (1) and Salad, accompanied by Skinny Fries & Salad
Snacks: Grapes, Raspberries, Blueberries, Smarties (9)

Summary (Green): 2 x HEA, 2 x HEB, 11.5 Syns

Happy Weekend everyone! :D

Sounding lovely Nic! One quick question, do you make your burgers? I am tempted to have a green day like that if I can have two burgers!!!! Also, I didn't realise you could have pasta and sauce for free on a green day? Green days have never appealed to me before, but I may have to re think! :) Xx

Hiya! The burgers are the frozen ones from Quorn, you can buy them in most places :) They're just 0.5 Syns per burger, so you could have 4 if you really wanted! :D Some of the Pasta n Sauce's are free (I think it's just the Cheese & Broccoli one and the Chicken & Mushroom one), but that's the same on Extra Easy days too. I love green days for all the extra Healthy Extras! :D x

sorry for butting in....
i love green days and do lots of them. when i started doing sw, i rotated 1 day green, 1 EE but now i do all 3...green tends to be what i do most especially the days i'm working (love the extra HE's like nic lol)

i got some quorn burgers last week which were free - they were from the chilled bit and were beef style with sweet red onion and went down a wee treat on a wm roll with cheese for dinner...syn free ;)
i've also started getting the peppered steak things too from quorn range - they're also free.

i'd never really eaten quorn products until a couple of months ago. i tried the chicken pieces 1st and really liked them. when i'm making fanta chicken, i sometimes keep some sauce/superfree aside and throw in some quorn chicken pieces to have for lunch the next day if i'm going to be on a green day....you could give them a try too?

morrisons do meat free burgers for 1/2 syn and they're quite nice...they were the 1st burger i'd tried but i reckon i'd get those free ones again...that wee half syn could go towards something else for me hehe

i try to eat free foods all day and keep my syns for goodies at night.

remember a few mugshots are also free on green and EE (you'd need to check which ones have syns) - they're handy if you're in a rush and i know the tomato and herb pasta n sauce are free (i use that as a base when i'm doing quiche)
the leek and ham one has 1/2 or 1 in the whole packet and it's yummy and the macaroni one has 1.5 i think. i make mines up with just water to save on syns for butter or to save using HEa for the milk ;) x
