No more excuses! Back again for 2015

thats all I've heard all week oh don't worry it's christmas! Blimey I have been bad this week and feel awful for it

This is the same friend who keeps saying to me "You don't need to diet, you just need to eat sensibly" (meaning that's how everyone should be, not specifically me) and I know he means well but I always take it personally as if he is telling me something I don't know! I suppose unless someone has been through the yo-yo dieting or know what it's like to suffer from low self esteem etc. they just don't get it, and nobody else sees us the way we see ourselves.

Don't give yourself too hard a time, it's really hard at this time of year, luckily we don't have too many evenings out planned this year so it's easy to stay on track but I have a few parties coming up and, well, I am just going to enjoy myself, The worst that can happen is that I put on 2 or 3lb which will disappoint me, but I know that I can lose that again!

Hehee! Had to share this! It made me giggle :D

Decided that I wasn't ready for breakfast when I got up and wanted to do hubby a cooked brekkie but needed sausages, so mapped out a long walk so that I would get to Tesco before they opened at 11am (I didn't get up particularly early!), I walked 3 miles and got to Tesco half an hour before they opened but still went in as you are allowed to "browse" (which must mean fill your baskets and trolleys and queue at tills before they are even switched on, as that's what the 500 hundred people that were already in there did! Some people had 2 trolleys, Do they think the world ends in 2 days time? sheesh)
...... Anyhoo I still managed to fill a basket with salad and fruit stuff plus the sausages which is all I went in for and went through the self service till - which unfortunately was having a nightmare with my stuff so I had to keep calling a member of staff over.... Got back home and finally cooked a very tasty SW friendly breakfast - at lunch time - so brunch really :)

Also started thinking about choccies for Christmas and looked up the Scan Bran Ferrero Rocher recipe but still don't want to go the Scan Bran route at the moment (heard too many stories of needing to be near a loo after eating them!) So I crushed up a weetabix 3.5 (my new best friend) added 1tbsn of Nutella and 1tbsn of Golden Syrup which I make 9.5 syns, mixed it altogether and made 15 little sweets which are now in the fridge. They work out at less than 3/4 of a syn each but if they are nice I know that I can afford to munch the lot and not do as much damage as I would if it was a tray of Dairy Milk and I can offer these to other people without giving them a laxative at the same time! :D

Healthy Extras

a: dunno yet..
b: dunno yet..

Brunch: Bacon, Baked Beans, Mushrooms, 2 poached eggs, syn free tomato ketchup (I was supposed to have a red onion and rosemary sausage on there but I dropped it on the floor, doh! :D)

Dinner: SW Chilli Con Carne, Jacket Potato and Salad.
Pud: 2 mini meringues crushed, with blueberries, sliced bananas, banana & custard muller yog & 5g choc drops sprinkled on top! Yummy 3.5 syns

Syns
Nescafe, Cafe Menu Cappuccino 3.5
Weetabix choccies? I will be trying at least one! 0.75 syns
Tried 2 just to be sure :) 0.75
Pud 3.5
Total Syns: 8.5

Will be back with choccie verdict and update the rest of todays menu :coffee:

Verdict... Not bad, not really chocolatey enough for the faffing about, may as well just cut up a curly wurly and be done with it! :D

And like you I can't help but take it personally sometimes but I shall just say no I like healthy food from now on if people comment! let's just enjoy Xmas ! I am going to weigh in on Friday 27th see the damage

Re: No more excuses! New me for 2014

Exactly! Same reason I started before Christmas...There will always be some reason not to when you look for excuses too....
New Year, Valentines, Easter, Holidays etc..

I am doing this for me, and I am pretty sure I will be more fun to be around with a bit more confidence anyway :)

Lol Chrissie - made me laugh re your sausage - best laid plans huh You are one v determined lady with all that walking too. High winds and heavy rain down here today so nit nice for anyone out and about in that today.

It's horrible out there! I have spent most of today with Dad, getting his shopping and stuff. I had to go to the post office and did end up walking, only a mile today, but there are trees and branches coming down everywhere. ..yuk!
At home warm and dry with a 2 syn hot chocolate now though :)

Nearly forgot to post yesterdays menu, it is not terribly inspiring though, it was such a busy day that I ended up grabbing stuff on the go mostly, I seem to have done a lot of food shopping lately but had no idea what to have for dinner but luckily had loads of chilli left from Sunday! :)

I was going to have a glass of wine too but I fell asleep on the sofa after dinner, consequently I was up at half past silly hour this morning!

I woke up at about 4.30 absolutely convinced that my raised fish pond had emptied itself overnight in the storm. Obviously the fish were fine, in fact the pond couldn't be any fuller with all that rain, but I was so worried that the pipe that comes from the filter had been dislodged by the wind that I just had to go and look! :)

Anyway here is yesterdays menu:

Healthy Extras

a: 30g Cheddar
b: 2 Weetabix
Breakfast: Weetabix Muffins and a Banana
Lunch: Satsuma, Banana, Muller Yoghurt
Dinner: Left over Chilli, Jacket Potato and Salad

Syns
2 x Mikado 1
10g Raisins 1.5
Options Hot Choc 2
Total Syns: 4.5

I made 6 small muffins so had those to snack on throughout the day too, this time I made them with one capful of vanilla and one capfull of choc extract, 10g raisins and a sprinkling of cinnamon - yum!

Thank You Santa!!! :)

Weigh in today! I lost 2.5lbs woohoo!!

Smashed my first mini target with bells on Yay!

:bliss:

Merry Christmas Everyone!
