No more excuses

What's the interview for? Good luck with it anyway, whatever it is - and i hope you get all your prep done. You'll sleep better knowing you're ready for it at least x

Interview is for an admin job with a drug charity. I already volunteer for a different harm minimisation charity alongside work but would be amazing to do it for a job instead and not have to run around between jobs etc. Just don't know what else I can do to ensure I get it? I think my 3 weeks in America in September are going to mean I don't get it :cry: Going to offer to take half of it or 1 week unpaid though to try to comprimise? I've researched the company, went through the person spec and role and responsibilities and found out the services this branch provides. Don't know what else I can do :confused:
:cross:

Well it sounds to me like you're perfect for the job, you've already got experience and you're well researched so will give a good interview. Have a good handshake, always makes me smile from the start :) x

Awww, thank you. I have an awful handshake: very weak hands and wrists, lol. And no rude comments people! ;) Will have to practice tonight on OH. Thank you for the advice, one thing I had most definitely forgot :eek:

Interview done. Not amazing but not terrible. Pretty sure I won't get it. If you were there and heard my incoherent rambling you'd understand why. Anyway today's diary

EE
Bacon, egg, tomatoes, beans
2 aldi cereal bars (hexb)
Rocky-esque biscuit (5 syns)
Salmon with pasta in 5 and carrots
Banana
Can of full fat coke (7 syns) and 1 large toblerone square (6.5 syns)
Mullerlight

Total = 18.5 syns

Ok so I didn't get the job. Feedback was on the 1 thing I knew it would be and at least now I've had 1 interview in this field :) Guys at volunteering cheered me up with pop, chocolate and conversations about boxing movies and training. I'm happy :D

Boo :( but at least yo know what it was!!! And like you say, you've experience to move forward with. It's a tough market out there. I recruited someone for an admin assistant and you would not believe the amount and calibre (both ends of the spectrum) I had apply x

Exactly. I've also spent the afternoon doing pretty much the job I was applying for @ volunteering and I know I can do it so it's just a matter of proving that to the interviewers next time around. Although the treats have taken me over my syns, pooh! Have updated diary

Thank you. This whole losing weight thing must actually have boosted my confidence. Usually I would have had a major pig out and ended up out on the plonk with a massive hangover today. I have so much more control now. I know I went a little over syns but not by a massive amount, and I feel so much better this morning for dealing with the knockback well and bouncing back. I am notorious for not being able to take criticism (according to other people, I think I deal with it well :p). Oh, and according to my scales I am going back in the right direction, just a tiny amount a day but I'm happy with that and it's keeping me on plan :D happy bunny, although that might also have something to do with getting a distinction in my essay that I thought I had failed as the theory was so complex. :woohoo:
Oh, and I've started recording my food in my fitness pal too, just to see where I am with calories as I think I was overeating for the sake of it to be honest, especially where syns are concerned. Not taking my fitness pal seriously but at least I can see if I'm eating a humongous amount of calories and cut back a little.
Back at the gym this morning too after a rest day yesterday so it's all good today :D Happy!! :D

Here's today's Green diary

Magic porridge (hexb)
Banana, apple and 2 clementines
Quorn chilli with brown rice
Mugshot
2 aldi <70 cals cereal bars
Less than half a square of dark chocolate (1 syn)
Possibly a Rocky-esque bar (5 syns)

Total = 6 syns

Well I tried MFP a while back, hence why it's on my phone. Don't get me wrong I lost weight but it didn't help me make the right choices and I just cheated when I really wanted something and didn't track for a few days. So much more support on here and real people to persuade me to tow the line :rolleyes:

See i did MFP earlier in the year too. WW and CC just don't suit me, i'm too out of control for me to like it. I ended up getting so fed up of weighing, and not having enough calories for anything - i was not eating all day so i could enjoy something decent with hubby of an evening. Then i'd get peed off and really blow it with takeaways, which is my real downfall, one takeaway leads to six..... SW just really suits me as there's the freedom for me not to get too frustrated... Look forward to seeing how you get on running both xxx

I've never tried WW but I think it wouldn't work for me either. At least with slimming world the choice is free food or syns: you're going to choose free most the time. With point values I'd just eat bad food for same points.
Lunch was beautiful, even if I do say so myself ;) Must tear my backside off this sofa for my next shift at 4, boooh! Ho hum. Have updates diary with my treats :)

Enjoy your shift! X

Quickly popping on in a panic. Was all sorted for food today and forgot my cereal bars :eek: ended up with a flapjack. Tried to find syn value but calories not on the pack so I ended up eating it. Not my best move but wanted filling up, I'm not good with hunger. Found the companies website and per 100 grams = 481 cals, with avg flapjack being 90g!! :sigh: Not a happy bunny as that means it was 21.5 syns, taking me to 26.5 for the day :busted:
Can safely say I will not be buying one of them again when hungry. May as well have had a chocolate bar! I thought I was doing better because at least flapjack will fill me up but no, spent more money and way too many syns :mad: Anyhoo, rant over, here's the rest of today's diary

Green
Magic Porridge (hexb)
Banana, apple, 2 clementines
Rice and sweetcorn
Rocky x 2 (10 syns)
Flapjack (21.5 syns:cry:)
Super speed soup
25ml Malibu (3 syns) with diet coke
Vodka (4 syns) and diet coke
2 Aldi <70 cal cereal bars (hexb)
Low fat super noodles

Total = 38.5 syns

Debating what to have for my other hexb now as I don't really fancy more stodge, will see what I have when I get in. After writing 100 lines of "I must not sabotage myself through ignorance" ;)
