Hello everyone

Good day - had a docs appointment this morning to get the results of my investigations and all tests came back fine but they want me to try a preventative inhaled steroid twice a day for 3 months to see if that helps.

Had a couple of puffs this morning and not sure if it's had an effect (think it takes a few days anyway to build up in your system) but went for a run this lunchtime and don't think I felt tight chested - I certainly didn't notice it.

We'll see if it has any impact. I'm sure it will. Hopefully it will help me run faster ;)

Went for a run today - first run since Friday coz I've been ill and I was going to try and run 5 miles but I only managed 3.5. I ran on the route and it's really hilly so I think I'll have to revise my goal of an hours time. I reckon 1hr 15..

So food wise, I've eaten:

Two shredded wheat and milk
Two 'cheesecake' crumpets (Philly and raspberry jam)
Banana
Mixed nuts

Dinner was amazing! We have some smoked mackerel in the fridge so I looked up some recipes and made potato and (homegrown) beetroot hash cakes with mackerel and poached egg and homemade tomato chutney :) it was yummy!

Just watching bake off now and wishing I had pudding ;)

A cherry yoghurt finishes my day..

That's a really good food day well done :) xx

Low 10s, that's lovely to see Yoyo. (Beetroot hash cakes. I'm intrigued ) x

Fresh raw beetroot grated
Potato par boiled and grated
Curry powder
Salt and pepper
Spring onions chopped

Mix together - form into balls then squash into a patties and fry for 3 mins on each side - lush!

Good day today - worked at the nursery and two of my key children are learning to walk and doing so well :D

Just run 10k for the first time this time round (since injury a few years ago). I walked every last quarter mile for the first 5 miles then ran the last 1.2 miles non stop. I ran the route which I still found tough with the hills but at least I know I should get at least a 1 hr 13 time on race day and would hope to shave some off that on the day.

Trying to decide whether to try and run it non stop or not. I'm running it again on Saturday morning so I might try and reduce the walking breaks and see how that feels. Then it's an easy week before the race - eek! Although signs have started going up in the village calling it a 'fun run' which I'm not happy about ;)

Food today:

2 x shredded wheat with milk
Small portion spag Bol
Small portion mash and beans
Banana
2 chicken thighs with a peri peri mix veg and sweet potato tray bake and rice

All in all a good day :)

You're doing so well with the running, good on you :D I've got to start training for a 1 mile run that TH and I are doing in September and I'm worried about doing that! xx

Woo Katie! You have to start somewhere - I started by running 30 seconds at a time and found that tough :)

10 stone 4.4 this morning! :D

Not sure whether this will stay for weigh in next week but pretty happy about that nonetheless :)

Have a happy friday everyone!
