Total Solution No more yo yo-ing!

How you feeling this morning Yoyo x

A little better I think Susie although I'm still in bed and have woken up with a sore throat and a headache :(

Sounds like a bit of pampering needed for you. Have you got to go to work or can you have a rest day x

I'm working from home today so im still in bed, but feeling guilty as the work isn't going to do itself! I have an appointment at the docs in a bit for spirometry - no idea if feeling I'll will affect the results.

I'm gutted it's affecting my training - the race is in under two weeks and I was doing so well! I've missed my long run yesterday and won't be able to do it today now either :(

It is what it is I suppose... On a positive note I'm down to 10 stone 6. something so hopefully on track for a loss this week!

Don't worry about missing a run. It will do you good to have a rest from running.

It won't affect u at all. Google muscle memory if u don't already know about it. You will still be able to run ur 10k. My sister was injured 4 weeks before a marathon and never ran a step until the day. She nailed it. She did spend the whole 4 weeks worrying that she couldn't do it mind you!

Hope ur feeling better soon chick :) x

Thanks TH - I'm just worrying about running the distance before the race. The furthest I've run in training so far is 4.5 miles, so I was planning either 5 miles or the full 10k at a really easy pace this weekend but I was too ill to do it.

Never mind - I can do it next weekend instead x

Hello everyone

Feeling a little better today but not 100%

To make up for missing my long run at the weekend I'm going out in a bit and will walk the route so at least I'm familiar with it.

Food wise today I've had a few blueberries and 2 pieces of toast - one with marmite and one with Philly and jam - yum!!

Had a spirometry test today to see if I have exercise induced asthma. I felt very jittery after the high dose of inhaler I had and my lungs did feel larger afterwards, but there was little difference in the test results before and after the inhaler and my xray is fine. I am seeing the doc on weds so he may give me an inhaler to take before a run. The nurse said it's quite difficult to diagnose asthma if it doesn't show classic test responses.

I'm feeling more diet focused today and more determined for a loss on weds.

Hope everyone is having a good day?

Sx

Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Glad that you seem to be on the road to recovering now though. Hope all goes well at the doctor's and fingers crossed for a loss on Wednesday.

Hope you're feeling better this evening honey, horrid when you don't feel well ((big hugs)) xx

Yeah it's pants but feeling a bit better now thanks - hoping the worst is behind me

Good day food wise despite being ill.

I walked most of the race route today so did about 8.25k of it so at least I'm familiar with it. It seemed very long and hilly so I'm starting to worry about the race which I really didn't want to do.

Ah well, back to the running tomorrow so hoping that will improve my confidence as I'm planning to do my runs this week on the route to get used to running uphill and downhill.

So, food -

Two shredded wheat with milk and blueberries
Two pieces of toast - one with marmite and one with Philly and jam
Half portion sushi and 2 chorizo and red wine empanadas
1 lamb chop, a few new potatoes and broccoli and chargrilled courgette (with a tiny bit of feta)

I'm hungry now but going to go to bed hungry as that normally results in a loss, though hubby told me I needed to start eating normally in the run up to the race.
Night all x

I am so so very shocked and sad to hear about Robin Williams.

I can't sleep. I just got up to have tea and toast, or rather my new invention "cheesecake toast" which is Philly and raspberry jam. Not the best when trying to lose weight and I really fancy another.. Fighting the urge..

Maybe I am this sad because my best friend john committed suicide by hanging himself when he was 18, 17 years ago.. It never leaves me and not a day goes by when I don't think about him. It's so sad that behind the brightest smiles lie the saddest hearts..

Yoyo, I know, it is very shocking news :(

I hope you managed some sleep x

Thanks marge - I did get some sleep in the end. How are you doing? Don't think your diary has popped up in my feed for a while? (I could be wrong though)

Good day - feeling much better... Tmi warming but kind of had an explosion in the toilet and it seems to be out of my system now. Thinking I'll go for a run in a bit..

Food wise - had 3/4 of a New Yorker sandwich and countless teas and lattes as I've been in and out of meetings all day.

Not sure what I'll have for tea - I've just had a pint of beer so feeling a bit wobbly - who knows if I'll make it out for a run?

Was very sad news :(

Hope you have a good healthy tea, beer always ruins that for me ;) xx

Good to see you are better today.

Sad news indeed. Life is short so we have to make the most of it xx

Hubby had made me some dinner and left it out with a little note and some flowers :) it was tagliatelle with a creamy bacon mushroom and tomato sauce - 'twas yummy!

Didn't go for a run - will go tomorrow

Not having a good evening. Stupidly thought I'd be ok to watch a programme about pregnant women and spent the whole evening crying. Hubby had to come home early from the pub with his friends.

I wasn't going to call him as I didn't want to ruin his night and I wasn't going to call mum either as I didn't want her to worry so I tried the miscarriage association but they were shut.

I should have been going on mat leave at the end of this month and would have been almost 8 months pregnant.

So I needed comfort food, but I was fairly good - I melted some cooking chocolate and added hot milk and brandy and had a yummy hot chocolate, don't think it really made me feel better though..
