If you're wanting fast loss then you're right that Atkins probably isn't the answer for you. I guess it has a reputation for being speedy because of the big losses people often get when they first start - especially if they are very overweight - but most of that is water and glycogen, and the losses people tend to experience thereafter are much more akin to "normal" diets (1-2lbs per week).
So it sounds like you have a good plan there: finish up your VLCD supplies then continue to lose slowly but surely on Atkins.
