I'm starting Monday!!!! I have 3 weeks till I go and I think I may aswell do it and see if I like it and if I lose on it and if I do I'll have a 3 day break in Portugal then back to it, don't wanna mess around with cc and it not work or I gain!! When I could of tried Atkins and maybe lost!!!

So the book, is it th dr Atkins new diet revolution I need or new Atkins for a new you?

I have dr Atkins new diet revolution I think the new Atkins new you is similar but not really sure, get into a book shop and have a look at both of them but think the diet revolution is the originally.

And don't forget don't can't your calories just your carbs! I'm sure you will love it and the mims are soo good I definately won't miss bread now x
 
I was gonna buy on my kindle but would rather have the book on this one so will get to town this week and get it! So any tips and need to knows before I get the book? How many carbs can I go upto on the induction? And what can't I eat?
And what's mim!? Xxx

Something in going to do tomorrow is make up a few recipies and freeze them so I can just pop In the microwave, tomorrow I'm going to make some cheeseburger pie from the recipies section and a flaxseed loaf so I have 'bread' for sandwiches, I've also seen a recipie for sausage, bacon and egg mcmuffin type things so going to make them for breakfast.

Really don't know what to have for tea but I'm not hungry, I had a MIM for breakfast, an Atkins bar around lunch time and 2 mini peparamis and a mini babybel around 6.

No more than 20g of carbs on inductions, foods you may eat liberally all fish, all fowl, all shellfish, all meat, all eggs, 90-110g of full fat, firm, soft and semi-soft mature cheeses, 230 - 340g of these salad vegetables a day (in pic)

140-200g of these veg a day (in pic) if salad does not exceed 230g

Also use butter not margarine, olive oil is good, don't remove skin and fat from meat you can also have 10-20 olives a day, half a small avocado, one ounce of sour cream or 3 ounces of unsweetened whipping cream, it does say these foods may slow loss in some people so if it does avoid in first 2 weeks
 
And a MIM is muffin in a minute made with flax seed, that's what's in my picture and lots of recipies on the stickies for lots of different mims x
 
Thanks hun! I don't really eat salad at the minute gone off it but like my veggies so will bulk my dinner and tea out with them, is that grams uncooked or cooked? Can we fry our veg? If so what in? Xxx

It's grams raw and I haven't been eating them everyday but I should be, when in work i always have all my salads for lunch which tuna ir chicken mayo, Cook in oils and butter etc and don't use low fat mayo or cream as they have more carbs x
 
I'm sure you can have them on induction others do and I'm not sure how many calories after, I haven't really read that part of the book yet but you increase your carbs slowly untill you know how many you can have to lose, sts and gain etc

Induction is a minimum of 2 weeks but maximum 6 months I think, when you read the book it explains a lot and he uses real life examples of his patients to help you understand

I think a bit of caffeine is good but it can stall if too much drunk.

Hi Nyssa, hope all well today. No need to cut carbs below 20g as doesn't seem to help weight loss. Usually means you are not getting enough veggies, 12-15g a day of carbs should come from veggies. Lots of vits plus keeps you regular:)
 
Hope you had a nice BBQ today stef and good luck for tomorrow.

I need to try and cut my caffeine out but think I will try to do it slowly and not have the 2 litre bottles in the house maybe just 1 can a day.

I do normally have a big salad in work for my lunch so normally get a lot of my carbs from there but not had work for a few days.
 
I really live doing Atkins/ low carb as its do easy but I don't think the weight loss is fast enough for me at the moment, when I finished my vlcd ( it was only meant to be a break) I was a very comfy size 14 could squeeze into a 12 but not move lol and basically I never went back to the vlcd didn't refeed properly and ate all the wrong foods do gained back 1stone 8lbs of the 3 stone I lost, my size 16 work trousers are now very tight on me with a muffin top!

I saw my mum today in town and when walking towards her from a distance she said she didn't recognise me at first from the weight I've put on!

I've got about 1 months supply of vlcd diet packs left from last time as im going to use them as I don't want to waste them and hopefully lose the weight a bit quicker, get back to where I was previously then come back to Atkins for the long haul as I can see Atkins being long term not just a short quick fix.

My 1 week weigh in is due tomorrow so I will post what I have lost x
