One day at a time!!

I know I have lost b'coz my clothes are more comfortable its the not knowing so I'm almost doubting myself now or that its even working! Does that make sense??

I know that not scale hopping is the right thing to do but a month is a long time... maybe every 2 weeks to start? What do you think?

Oh I'm in that pants frame of mind where I'm doubting everything & can't make a decision for myself! Bloomin' totm!

I'm so happy that you are doing well. Shame about the headaches and not feeling 100% but the food sounds like it's going to plan!

For my the average day is consisting of
yoghurt and kiwi
fruit
protein and veg of lunch (tofu, tuna or egg)
fruit
crackers and cheese/ OCASSIONAL biscuit
protein bar (has stopped the need for biscuit
Dinner (just like lunch, sometimes I have cheese in my salad or have salad dressing or pesto which is not allowed)
fruit and g/teas

Just really lacking on the water front. Think if I guzzle in the next 4 days I should feel thin! Exercising at the gym and perhaps having 1 or 2 glasses of wine over the weekend, sometimes none.

What do you think? Really sticking with the concept of Cohens and 95% of these foods.

good idea linzi. it's good to be able to see what's going on every couple of weeks. if you wait long you might fall off the wagon.

Hey Abz... completely forgot to ask how your doing? Sorry! :eek:

I've eaten absolute tutt today... its only come in at 12 carbs but its been 3 sero bars, chicken, mayo & cucumber & an avidlite low carb chocolate mousse.

Dr A would be turning in his grave... where is the fresh unprocessed food on that? Well the cucumber was good... out of our neighbours garden too can't get much fresher than that!! BTW he gave it to me... I didn't swipe it from his garden. :p

Shopping delivery comes tomorrow so I plan on having a good day... please be kind to me scales in the morning!! :D
 
i am going mad. i think i'm going to incorporate a low carb meal into my cd week or the cravings are going to drive me mad. i'm craving meat. have managed to stave them off for now but not sure i'll make it through tonight. would rather do this than risk giving into cravings that would take me out of ketosis.

i'm sure that the scales will be wonderful to you in the morning :)

after 12 weeks. although i could do it now, just move onto a different plan, but i don't think any of the other plans would accomodate me right now, ha. but i've made it this far. i think i'm just going to go to bed and not think about it and hope that i make it through tomorrow... :)

honey 3lbs is 3lbs. and if you still have totm then you will be clinging on to masses of water which will drop off as soon as totm finally goes away :) and are you measuring yourself? you've probably lost size. plus, remember a lot of people have a bit of a slow patch on weeks 2 and 3 on atkins.

how much water are you drinking each day hon? maybe up it a bit and see how that takes you.

nope. i don't feel proud of the resistence which is weird. i just feel more like if i do cave and have a low carb meal at least it won't wreck the diet completely and it's better than ending up eating something that will take me out of ketosis. so i'm going to try not worrying about it. some of the guilt has gone :)

3lbs is alot of fat you know! Almost a quarter of a stone!!! Good on you girl! And as you say, you have not felt like you are struggling or starving or depriving yourself so what more could you ask for??

Can i just ask (a bit personal but here goes) does your totm normally last so long? It seems pretty unusual to me. If it doesnt then please see your doctor. Im pretty lucky in mines lasts between 1-3 days.

hey guys. well i had my low carb meal tonight. i had some beef and some egg. and i don't feel bad for it. now i just want to monitor whether it has turned my weight loss upside down. my weigh in is on tuesday evening so i'll be able to tell by then :)

JB... Since having my daughter 50 weeks ago I've been on the depo injection & since starting that it seems I have 2-3 months of nothing & then a 3-4 week time on! Your so right 3lbs is nearly 1/4 of a stone... that sounds so much better!!

Bren have a completely awesome time away... enjoy & make wise food choices but don't worry about coming off Cohens you can do it that way too!! Enjoy babes!

Abz.... I say good on you!!! You made a choice to 'eat' & made a good choice by it (don't know much about a 'shake' diet) but I would imagine if you don't come out of ketosis then you've gotta still be shifting fat? Well done on making that decision but not letting it lead to a 'oh well I've blown it' attitude!!

I've had a few glasses of the red stuff this evening (hosted a body shop party) I know I really shouldn't've considering my very boozy evening tomorrow but I had chips, dips, pretzels, breadsticks etc out for my guests & even with a few glasses of red wine I didn't crave any & I have just had some ham now everyones gone... so for that I'm really proud! It proved I can do it... so no excuses tomorrow night! x
