Post Break Up Body

Today's food. For lunch, I had some stinky cheese and cucumber as I was feeling very very lazy. And dinner was the standard pizza.

I have decided to mix things up for the next few days. There is multi-day coastal walk near me, so I've packed a bag and booked an inn along the trail for tomorrow night. I might just do two days walking or see how I feel and continue on. The trail is 9 days long, so I certainly won't run out of road before I've had enough.

That means that I'll be taking it easy on the diet for the next few days. Similar to the ski trip, I'll just aim for smart choices, but won't calorie count. And I'm on my own for this, so I'll be doing a lot less drinking!

oh sounds lovely, and the weather is looking pretty good as well. I'm hoping to get out for a decent stretch tomorrow, but haven't decided where yet. I did suggest to OH we borrowed his dad's dog, but he wants to go to rugby with another team: they train 11-12, so I feel like it's a waste of the morning.

Really misjudged my planned walk today and it ended up being 20 miles! Feet very blistered so we will see how I bandage them up for tomorrow's walk.

The walk itself was beautiful and challenging over the cliffs. Lovely section on the beach in the morning and walked through a seaside town at lunch.

Had some calamari for early lunch and kept a few to snack on later in the day. Just got to the inn and their menu is very impressive. Having pigeon breast starter and artichoke main. Glass of wine, of course.

Ouch! Be careful with blisters. If you can get some Compeed, they are a godsend. Bandages can potentially cause more rubbing.

Nice going on the 20 miles though! Calamari is my favourite, and lovely sounding menu at the inn.

Hope feet aren't too sore tomorrow.

I was actually thinking of you managing 26 milles in one day. What a challenge. I'm not sure I could do it.

The food was amazing. Ended up talking to 2 other solo walkers including one whose birthday is tomorrow ( but she was Austrian and they celebrate the night before). So I had many glasses of wine. Nevermind.

Breakfast tomorrow is at 8am and then a big old walk

The 26 is an event, with a big crowd around. The atmosphere definitely helps then!

Lovely to meet other walkers. Are they heading the same way as you? I think I'm going to head to Aberdare and have a wander through the valleys today. It's absolutely gorgeous here and I refuse to waste the day!
