Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: From Conception to Birth, and Beyond!

OMG 9 babies!!!!
Yep all boys!!! She wants a daughter and has vowed not to stop until she gets one!! I've already said she'll be on "16 kids and counting" one day lol

I think my cousin was hoping she'd be able to stop after 4 but nope, all boys!
I did ask her what about if she continues to only have boys? She said they'd stop at 10 if the next is a boy but she's said that after each one so far!!

She needs to follow the "recipe" to get a girl, has she read the book choose the sex of your baby worked for my cousin after 4 boys !! X

That comment about babies crying to stop parents having more made me laugh... I'll have to tell my second cousin who's just popped out her 9th baby and is planning number 10 already!!

9 babies my goodness ha ha

Any one been to tk max there are some gorgeous sets baby grow/vest/hat etc for about £14 some really lovely vintage type wanted them all!!

Wowsers 9!! I'd have loved a big family if I hadn't started in my 30's. At least 4. But I'm 33 this year and we aren't ttc until next year so think two is our limit.

I thought having 4 brothers was bad enough but imagine having 9 lol! I'm sure they're all lovely btw but it must be hard work having nine little boys! Xxx

She's tried everything to have a girl but every time she gets to her 20 week scan it's another boy!
She said she's running out of boys names as well lol!!
They're all close in age as well (biggest age gap is 2.5 years!) so it's a bit chaotic in her house!
Prob explains y I was so reluctant to have kids of my own until I got married!!!
Glad I've started now, I'm 30 so if we decide to have another we've got plenty of time still.
2 is our limit, simply from a financial and housing point of view. Although I reckon 1 will be enough, I feel he/she will complete our family nicely (we already have 2 dogs and a cat!).
Remind me of this in a few months when I'm reporting that I'm broody haha!!!

Hi girls...

Do I need to be worried? lol

Amelia has basically slept all day?! She slept well last night (in her cot/own room for first time) - After the 10:30pm feed, she slept until 3:15am, and then again until 8am. Since then, she's been feeding and then going straight back off to sleep! After the 8am feed she slept until 12:30pm (feed), then woke up early at 2:30pm for another feed, fell back to sleep and is still asleep now!! Normally she's awake from at least one of the feeds to the next one, but she's slept all day?? She's 6 weeks old on Sunday if that helps!

Not sure if I should be trying to wake her up, or just let her carry on doing what she wants to do?! xx

They do say they sleep all day if they're growing/developing. Maybe shes got another growth spurt? xx

Question ladies.,...

does baby have huge growth spurt around 31 weeks?? Since last week ive been SO tired & drained. Ive even been in bed for 8-9pm and Jacobs let me sleep in until 9am or even 10am! yet im still just sooooo drained. :/
I dont remember feeling like this until approx 38 weeks with Jacob.

Plus i walked back from my nannas today which is only like a 10min stroll up the street. My bump got really sore and kind of like i had a stitch in the bottom left handside? Its not even that far to walk xx

Hi jess x

Around 31 weeks I felt exactly the same. Suddenly very rubbish and run down x lasted a couple of weeks and then i went back to feeling well again! Hope it passes for you soon hun xxx

Hiya, Oh i really hope so. Im lucky Jacob is a absolute star with bedtime and ones hes in bed thats pretty much it unless he wakes through the night from loosing blankets/falling out bed or something.

Feels like once i hit the 30 week mark its dragging so badly now too! need to try and keep busy but with the lack of energy its pretty hard! xx

Yea jess from about 30 weeks, or not long after, I hit the tiredness wall big time!!!

Jess, Eabha sleeps like that quite regular. I tend to wake her if she's hitting the 4 hour mark n feed her but that's coz her sleep in the night is rubbish if she's not fed enough in the day...
As susie said I'd a&e how she is tonight n if sleep is rubbish u kno to wake her for feeds :)

Girls what do you think I should do... Bella has been in bed since 8.00 which is at least an hour earlier then usual, she also woke up later than usual today (10am the lazy madam and I had to wake her) so has had 1 less feed than usual. My question is do you think I should wake her about midnight to feed her or just leave her to wake herself.... :/ what would you do?

Last night she slept 10-5.45am then back to sleep 6ish till 10. Im worried that if I don't wake her she will prob wake me up around 1-2am.. x

I was always a fan of waking I have to admit but only as I hate being woken. You could always wait and see...? The problem is, if she's not hungry she might not feed that well and still wake you up....xxx

I'm the same with being woken up (it's a horrible feeling even though its for my baby) I'm in bed now and have decided to just see what happens tonight and then make the judgment tomorrow. I'm hoping she won't wake until at least 3am... x
