Silvercross advise not to use anything else with it if you choose to remove it? I really don't know what to do. Think I'm gonna bob to the shop I bought it from and see what they say. Thanks ladies x

Bella hates the head support - the other day with my sister we removed it and she was a lot happier in the car but then Charles put it back saying it wasn't safe.... My sister has a 5 week old baby and his car seat doesn't have any head support so I can't see a prob removing from the silvercross one... Xx
Ladies I need some advice. Some of you may remember a while ago I posted on here about a friend who has been trying ttc for over 3 years now. They have 'unexplained infertility' and whilst I passed on all your tips to my knowledge no luck as yet. But this is where I'm a bit stuck. Thing is, we normally talk fairly regularly and meet up at least every 3 months or so (live in different parts of the country) and whilst I've been suggesting this since Christmas it's literally fallen on deaf ears. I haven't pushed it, she started a new job, but I have said it would be nice to meet up, for her to let me know when she's free if she would like to etc...no response. Even sometimes to the point I don't get a reply to my 'hi, how are you?' type messages. Even yesterday! I got a happy bday message, I replied saying thanks and how are you? Nothing, My spidey sense for want of a better word is telling me all is not well, she recently announced on fb she was leaving although she hasn't disappeared, she's never been like this before and I've known her 11 years but I don't know what to do. If she struggling due to not getting pregnant and she's finding it hard I completely understand but I need to know so she doesn't feel I'm bombarding her! At the same time I want her to know I'm still here for her but that if she doesn't want to tell me that's fine too. Benn thinks I'm being stupid but then blokes see things differently I think, esp about things like this. What do you all think? Should I ask? I'm friends with her sister as well although more on fb now so I could ask via that route saying is everything ok etc etc. I don't know what to do! Help! Xx Sorry for the long post xx
Hi hun.. OOOOhhhh.... this was ME!!!Ladies i am so confused!
I went for my consultant review today I'm due on Friday the 18th( 4 days time!) . When I got there I was offered a sweep , I was a bit shocked as I thought you were only given a sweep when overdue but as I have no more appointments scheduled and haven't seen the midwife since 37 weeks he said if I wanted one to have it now . So I felt a bit unprepared and was on my own as partner had gone to work unknowingly but decided to have it . A little bit uncomfortable but not too painful.
After that he then said he would get me an induction booked in as they only let you go ten days over your due date so that was booked in for the 28th but he then turned to the midwife and said 'labour won't be long she is already 2cm dialated' at this point I'm sat there thinking eh?! I then look at the doctor who says to me you are already 2cm dialated.. I wasn't sure whether he was joking as he had just booked me in for an induction :S so I was assuming he was expecting me to go overdue but he wrote down in my notes 'CX. 2 CM' .
At this point he is now chattering away about induction so I ask him do you think I will need to be induced and he replies 'no I expect labour in 2-3 days maximum - if anything happens tonight ring delivery straight away' .
So now I am left feeling totally confused I have no pains apart from the usual little aches down below here and there but nothing screaming out labour. I just always assumed that if you had started to dilate then that meant you were in early labour but as I have no pains I just feel a bit confused!
Susie I would really appreciate your expertise here and anyone else's thoughts! X
Finding out I was 2cm dilated at my 39 week checkup was the worst thing that could have happened..Thank you ladies I am getting excited now but don't want to get too excited as i know baby will come whenever baby pleases lol.
Bf is going to work close to home for the time being just to be on the safe side.
I guess when you hear about everyone's experiences you realise that no labour is the same and 2cm for one person can be completely different for another !
Im sure my stepsister was already in hospital requesting an epidural at 2cms lol!
Xxx
