Just remember using a dummy or bottle does give nipple confusion and could cause issues with latching on.
If your nipples are flat - the breast pump can help pull them out, also if you pinch and pull your nipples it will help pull them out and make it easier to latch baby on .. There is something called a latch assist

With my 1st baby I had flattish nipples and the week before I was due my midwife (New Zealand midwife) advised I use the breast pump to help pull them out - which did help
