Pregnancy and Slimming World

Sounds like it Cheeky (good outweighing the bad that is)

I just want stodge. And meat. Meaty stodge like shepherds pie and meat and potatoes etc. Just had a Greggs steak bake and 1/2 tin of beans for lunch. Could seriously go another steak bake but I won't because its just greedy. I did't have any brekkie this morning as was running out for early midwife appt so I don't feel too guilty.

Will snack on fruit now until dinner time, maybe a Muller for some additional calcium.

Am feeling very guilty about arguing with mum yesterday, all I did was cry all night as she just looked so deflated. I know she's just trying to help but its so frustrating. Bloody hormones.

Midwife visit today went okay - measuring bang on 28 weeks apparently (not to worry I actually 29) and blood pressure okay etc.

Got a parking ticket today though as completely missed the pay and display meter. Boooo :(

Oooo Greggs sausage roll would be nice right now lol.

I've not been having much calcium recently so been having smoothies so getting a 1/4 pint of milk every morning.

I'm sure everything will work out with your mum. From what you've said she's not been understanding but hopefully, yesterday will help give her some insight into her recent actions. Mums we love them to bits but they can be really annoying lol just think youre gonna be a mummy soon lol

Scrap that, my period came today. Better luck next month x

Thats a shame, but at least you know where you are.

I'm getting so frustrated at my lack of periods, my body is still adjusting from coming off the pill, but in the meantime I just dont know where I am, and its so annoying

Has anyone taken anti depressants while trying or pregnant?

I have been on prozac for a while, but although they have helped me ive decided to wean myself off them while we are trying till i can stop them.

I take anti depressents and have upped my meds as I have depression, ocd and acute anxiety.

I can not stop eating - since a week my appittie has come alive and OMG it is hold to fill up, trying my bestest to be good with yogurt, fruit, salad and veg

Hello Sam :)

Im on them for anxiety mostly, but my doctor said i should stop them when im pregnant. Just when i need them the most! lol

Hmmm how early do u get hungry. Is it because I'm trying to be healthy?

Start weight: 14s 7lb Current weight: 13s 10lb loss: 11lb

Just an update! i was over 3 weeks late and my period has finally arrived think my body may be slowly getting back to normal after being off the pill for over 6 months! can't wait for the trying part again. Got some ovulation sticks for this month to make sure i actually am ovulating! Congratulations to all the new pregnant people and good luck to all those ttc!!!

The decision is up to you and not your doctor. Prozac and Sertaline have been the best reported during pregnancy (My CPN told me).
My view is that my mental health was deteriating and it was far better me taking tablets so that I was able to cope, not just for me for the baby (I like eating, sleeping and all them kind of things). Lots of people have been on anti depressants and not had a problem during pregnancy. I know they have made my life a lot more bearable when times are difficult and for me it was the best decision I had made.

As far as i'm aware, your doctor can refuse to prescribe you anti depressants if they are concerned about the welfare of your baby. My doctor wasn't happy about prescribing me with anything (i stopped taking my meds about 3 months ago but now i really need help) so he referred me to the psychiatrist. Someone from the mental health team rang me today to see if they can help in anyway, they are referring me to a specialist psychiatrist. Not sure if i'll be able to get there as it's out of town & my panic attacks & agoraphobia is really playing up.

Talk to you doctor Mia & if they aren't happy with the meds you are taking ask them to refer you :)

You might be lucky you sound pretty regular already! i came off about 6 months ago it was not because we were ttc. But we had a scare and me and my husband thought i could be. Even went the docs and she said she thought i was but turned out i was not. We were really upset about it so we decided to try! last month was our first attempt...this month i should ovulate on our first wedding anniversary so hope that will bring us luck! We have been together 8 years Im 24 and he is 25! what's your story :)

I'm watching BBC 3 Is breast best and I totally forgot how difficult breast feeding is. I had an awful time but it was because my daughter had a cleft lip and couldn't latch. I only lasted two weeks, I even tried to express but I couldn't produce much milk and ended up doing formula.

I'm gonna try breast feeding again but I have said to hubby if its an awful again I'm gonna express until I dry up and then go onto formula.

So ladies what are you gonna do?

I'm 29 and my hubby is 31, we've been together for nearly 9 years and married for 17 months. Just decided after talking about it a lot that we would start to try. Now we've decided I want one now!! :) Fingers crossed for you this month and happy wedding anniversary. Let me know how you get on, you never know we could end up sharing preggie stories at some point!

I know what you mean about wanting one now!! it does not help that when you decide to try all of a sudden everyone else seems to be pregnant!! good luck and keep us informed!

So ladies what are you gonna do?

I breast fed Jacob for 5 days n gave up cuz of pain I was in from forceps. I had no support And only bein 20 they said well ur
Young there is no point us helping cuz u prob wouldn't do it anyway.

That was 4 yrs ago an now with my job I'm trained in supporting breastfeeding and know so much I never knew. I am deffo doing it again. So much so I have vowed I am not buying bottles until I have gave it at least 2 weeks!!!

I'm breastfeeding all the way (hopefully). I don't want to come across as a lactivist but I'm hoping I can do the whole 6 months. Saying that, circumstances change and with the best will in the world I might have problems meaning I could find it difficult to continue, poor latch, pain, stress baby picks up on etc but I'm going to give it my best try, even for the colostrum.

Also I'm too tight to pay for formula (typical scot) and bottles, sterilising, heating measuring etc just seems like too much work.

I have no doubt though BF'ing can be exhausting especially when no-one can take a turn for you, and all the responsibility for feeds is on you 24/7 until you can establish good expressing routine/freezing.

Was at midwife today and baby measuring fine, although my BP was up by 20 points which is a bit of a leap fro me, I assume just leftover stress/emotion from yesterday. Everything else was dandy and I have a "very active wee baby" :D
