Pregnancy and Slimming World

Oh crisps n bread....it's like food porn! lol! :D I'v been tryin my utmost 2 stick plan as much as poss over the last 2wks n have prob managed 2 b bout 80-90% but I'v been doin plenty of exercise so hopefully 2moro's WI won't go overly badly! I'm not expectin a loss but a STS wud b amazin n make me feel heaps better n less like I'm turnin in2 Jabba the Hutt!!!!
By the way is it normal 4 yer belly button 2 hurt!? Mine's not popped out as such but it's almost smooth, hardly dented in at all any more, n feels weirdly hard n tight! lol! :D It's weird cos altho I'm actually eventually startin 2 get a bump now at 24wks the rest of bump isn't as tight as my belly button - if that makes sense!? :)

Ha food porn!! I like your thinking I've had to stop watching come done with me for that reason ha! I get weighed tonight too but I haven't been as good as you I would say I've followed the plan 70% I'd like a STS too or a loss would be fab! My belly button is an 'innie' and hasn't popped out at all I'm 27weeks but it does hurt a little now and then almost like its being stretched so I'm guessing its normal, bit because I was a good couple of stone over weight when I got pregnant my bump isn't very tight anyway I wobble a little so I always wear tight vests under my clothes for extra support :) good luck at wi tonight :)

Well the heavy winds have kept me awake most of the night! It's first wi tonight I'm so mad at myself, because I couldn't sleep I went and raided the cupboards ended up eating chocolate and all sorts of naughties even if I get a STS I will be happy because the last two days have been tough I've been made redundant so only have two weeks left employed then I restart the same job on a self employed basis which is what I did before, however this will work out better for spending time with my baby so it's all good just come at a crap time as I don't know if it will effect my maternity pay from MA!!

The wind was terrible was rattling all the windows and howling round the side of our house!!
I was bad yesterday and went for Pizza Hut buffet and had about 40 Syns worth of pizza and ice cream!! Boo hoo my self control just went out the window!! X

I've not slept again either :/ I dunno how I'm going to cope with work today! xxx

Oh no missy what's causing sleepless nights?? X

I don't know but that's four nights in a row now! I need to be sharp for my job but it's hard when you're zombified! I'm doing everything I can to calm down and relax before bed and I'm shattered during the day but as soon as I get to bed - wide awake :( x

I messed up after wi on Monday night then I had chocolate on Tuesday but I've been good since. I just hope its enough to see a loss on Monday.
Sleep seems to be a bit erratic again. I was so tired last night I went to bed after the kids & slept but woke at 1am & struggled to get back to sleep.

Regarding the belly button....mine stretched with one of my previous pregnancies & split a little bit. Then every time the baby moved behind it, it would split again. So far its fine this time but I'm a lot smaller this time so far.

Hope everyone else is having a good day :)

I'm in bed eating marmite on toast so my day has improved a bit! After no sleep again i had a massive meltdown and cried all over hubby this morning. Went to work and was sent home almost as soon as i got there for barely being awake and ordered to get some kip!

I know you can't take herbal sleeping pills when pregnant (or anything else I would imagine!) but is herbal tea ok? I have some clipper sleep ease tea in and tried googling but couldn't find anything...

Hope your sleep improves too mama bear, insomnia is just awful xxx

Don't you feel grest when told your bmi is 35 so therefore at risk of blood clotting and diabetes. Now have to see consultant which is a waste of time but at least I get the opportunity to get more scans

On a more positive note I have started to feel the baby kick =)

Do you have to see a consultant once your bmi is over 35?

My BMI was over 32 at 20weeks so they made me go and see a consultant who did nothing but tell me to watch what I eat! I wasn't offered extra scans though!!

In my last pregnancy my bmi was 39 and i was made to be consultant led which was a utter waste of time but they wouldnt sign me off either even though i was fine apart from the bmi. This time round my bmi was 31 so i got away with it even though i had to still see the consultant for my bleeding but thankfully they signed me off.
Yippee for feeling baby move bunny x

That's not what you want to hear at all, doctors never say it in a nice way either do they! But baby kicking is lovely news to balance it out at least :) xxx

I'm worried about the weight thing tbh - my BMI is 33 at the moment and I booked my first midwife appointment today for 30 April so I might get it to 32 by then? I'll be annoyed if anyone has a go at me though, my BMI was 48 this time last year so I've done bloody well to get to 33! xxx

After having some sleep and a reassuring chat with my doctor I feel much better. She reckons I'm not sleeping purely because of worry and I am pretty scared to be fair, I'm so worried that something will go wrong and we'll lose the baby but she did say that I can't control that and she's right so I need to try and stop worrying and hope for the best. She also said that if work gets too much with me not sleeping she's more than happy to sign me off for bit with makes me feel better too!

More first timer questions! Is it normal for symptoms to change from day to day? Yesterday my boobs were killing me, today they are a bit less sore. Is that a bad thing or normal? When I first found out (this time last week - wow, seems longer than that!) I kept going dizzy and then that stopped but had come back today and I feel really weird when I stand up from lying or sitting. I'm sure it's all normal but nerves lol! xxx

Its all sounds pretty normal to me but if your ever worried then phone your doc/midwife. Each pregnancy is also very different so it can all seem new & worrying each time. For example, this is my third pregnancy but I'm sure I never felt the pains I did early on with this one with either of my others. It worried me so much but eased after a few weeks. Have faith & hope that all will be OK. I know its hard not to worry but try to focus on the positive things. Big hugs & hope you sleep xo

This is what my mum keeps telling me - not to compare myself to anyone else as everyone experiences pregnancy differently and most of all to stop googling stuff lol. ;) I'm going to make a conscious effort though to try and calm down and hope for good news at the scan. I've had big problems with anxiety and depression in the past (only came off medication 18 months ago) and I'm really concerned about slipping back so want to try and head it off.

I think a lot of it is that none of this feels real yet - I don't look pregnant yet obviously and I'm almost waiting for someone to turn around and tell me it's all a mistake! As weird as that sounds!

Thanks for the reply though lovely, hope you're having a good day xxx

It doesn't sound weird at all. I've expected to be told at my scan that I'm not pregnant with all 3 of mine. You'd have thought the hypermesis was enough confirmation for me,lol!

I've not been sick at all; just a bit nauseous earlier on but its mostly gone this week. Boobs have changed physically but can't really say they've hurt me that much. I've had real boating, ridiculous tiredness and an aversion to milky drinks and salmon - heaving just typing that. My mum and her sisters were sick all through their pregnancies but me and my cousins havnt had any in ours - proof that we're all different and no 2 are the same.

On another note I've just had chips and curry sauce for tea (hangs SW head in shame) bad dobby!!! Delish though.

I think that's it - we are all different and none of us will ever experience pregnancy the same way. Only thing i've found so far that makes me feel grim is coffee, just the smell though. And I'm not doing great with yogurts either.

It's just getting your head round it I think - pregnancy is such a mind bender and at my stage when I've not even seen the baby or had any appointments yet it just feels a bit surreal.

In other news, I lost 1.5lbs at WI - not sure how that works lol ;) So ready for my tea now, not sure if I can cope with eating late anymore - an empty stomach is my enemy! x
