Purple Hugs - Babe in arms!!

lol has your nesting instinct not kicked in? I was AWFUL with Erin so am trying to do things now in preperation for it, as then I won't have much to do! lol I was up on the kitchen sides cleaning cupboard tops and windows etc a few weeks before she arrived.. hubby nearly had a heart attack, everytime I left the room he'd have to follow me to see what I was getting up to! lol We had a laugh about it the other night when I asked him to get the curtains down (at the top of the stairs - i'm scared of heights) and he said at least 10 years on I've learnt to ask! lol

Had a bit of a clear out in the kids' rooms but that's about it. Don't think I have a nesting instinct lol, Well didn't with the other 2 so prob won't this time either.

Oh i wish I didn't! lol

I think DH has heard my thoughts as he got our bed out today - from the babies room where it's been stored while doing DIY and started painting it! Sounds a bit of a changing room job but we have a metal framed bed and have had it for 10 years or so now, bought some proper metal paint in white (as it's dark green and we want a light bedroom). It looks very Laura Ashley-esq now - although not finished. We have been sleeping on our mattress in our bedroom - so am looking forward to having a bed at a normal height again. lol

Next step is painting our bedroom etc, but we've agreed we'll likely do that in Sept when the girls go back to school as our LO would be covered in it! lol

I can't wait to see our bedroom re-vamped! And then really we can start doing the babies room.

Perhaps my nesting has started early but less severe so far I'm not sure! lol

wow you have been busy .i have just ordered my pram so im excited about that and have got lots off boys things already saved them all :)
I bet you cant wait till scan its so exciting and a great feeling x

Sending boy vibes to u for next week. Just make sure u send the girl vibes to me lol

lol Mrs D you have a deal! ;)

Sarah - you are right can't wait for the scan! :) Well done getting your pram and happy boy shopping! lol I keep stopping myself on 'colours' lol

Kirsty - you'll get there hun, we moved in 2 years ago and did a quick paint job on our room and nursery room so it'll be nice to sort it out nicely. :)

ooh exciting stuff! ((hugs)) definately a buyers market at the moment too. Fingers x'd for you.. though don't envy you moving house while pregnant! lol

Well, my cold is back with a vengance. :( feeling crappy I must admit.

Baby was moving around this morning so all fine there.. not long till our scan now! Can't believe I'm 20 weeks on Sunday! lol halfway point then count DOWN to babies arrival! woohoo

Got my sling rings from America today - am making my own slings as graham and I couldn't decide on a material we both liked! lol works out much cheaper than buying a sling and is more individual. The rings are lovely (coloured aluminum), ordered a few spares so if anyone wants any let me know ;) I'm sticking them on ebay buy it now for £5.50 a pair.

lol hun it'll be lovely in the end and that's the main thing ((hugs)) moving is always daunting but we cope, and it'll be for all of you! how special is that?

aww.. well if it does you keep looking - remember there are lots out there ((hugs))
p.s. how GREAT is your dad!! lol

lol now thats funny! lol hold those purse strings tight! lol

Well today.. I figured I need to go to the chemist to check out the medicine front.. but to no avail! there is nothing that has been tested on pregnant women and marketed as safe!! :(
So I walked away empty handed.. and headed to the library to return a few books and sign the girls up (been meaning to do it) - Graham stayed with the girls while I did the registration forms - thank goodness he was close (reading to Adele on the sofa in the little ones section) as I came over all funny and nearly passed out! how embarrassing to have to say to the woman (with another mum and son waiting behind me) that I had to go as was going to pass out! With my low BP i get a dizzy feeling then loss of hearing then that's it lights out.. well I got to the loss of hearing before I got to the sofa! 10 mins of head between knees and I was ready to move again!
So.. from now on today I'm on the sofa and not moving!

yeah it is, won't be back in town now, am just going with warm lemon with Agave Nectar (instead of honey), and paracetomol when my throught is sore. Is working at the moment but feel rubbish in myself. :(
Hopefully the dizzy spells aren't back often. I really came close today and it caught me unawares as i've been loads better for dizziness recently.

oh, it's funny but I have been feeling light headed for the last hour, and was sitting here reading through your posts then, just a minute ago I was sitting here and my head felt really swimmy, just sitting reading...then I have just read your post....good coincidence! I wonder if my blood pressure is low? maybe ask if they can check it out on the maternity wing tomorrow....hmmmm, never usually feel like this without alcohol in me lol =)

might be.. i never thought to do my BP earlier - DH has a monitor as he is prone to borderline high.

If you feel too light headed just lay back and raise your legs above your heart level ((Hugs)) be careful getting up mind.

well am off for my 20 week scan tomorrow! woohoo 9am and then we're heading out shopping (hopefully for some blue or pink)! lol and then for lunch with the girls as they're coming to the scan. Likely pizza hut as it had something for everyone (me being veggie I find it restrictive at a lot of restaurants and love the salad bar).

Just hope all goes well, I feel totally calm about it and excited, so am now left wondering if I'm silly to be that way.. as I was so blooming nervous for my 6 week and 12 week scans! I hope not...

Hope ur feelin better now. I went to the docs today ive got a chest infection and am now on antibiotics. cant wait til they start to work.

u just reminded me Rhiannon has 2 books due back at the library....

Good luck at ur scan 2moro xx

Thanks Lisa.. I hope so too but as long as I'm still 'buying' I'll be happy! lol

Mrs D - just finished watching Mr DD in 'outlaw' lol

Glad you are on antibiotics ((hugs)) and that you went. I'm not as chesty today so am pleased to say that, not feeling dizzy or anything either - but will be taking things easy-ish tomorrow.
Have been laughing with DH tonight as baby had a kicking match with my bladder.. and my tummy wall.. graham actually felt a few little flutters which was lovely. :)

Hope I can sleep tonight.. am looking forward to tomorrow. Alarm is set.

Well... it's arrived! less than 2 hours to go!! OMG! lol
Have been up since 5.30am! lol Didn't go to bed till 1am in the hope I'd sleep well, woke at 3 and again at 5.30! :p
But.. I'm ready and excited. will wake the girls in 15 mins as they like to laze around a little and leave at around 8.30 - likely be there early but with weekday traffic it may take a few mins longer to get to the hospital.
I can't believe it.. 20 week scan!! OMG!
One day I'll read all my ramblings on here and marvel at the fear / anxiety I had in the early days. there is about 1% left of that but we'll cope with what today brings if it's not all smiles.
Baby has already been saying goodmorning so that's a start! :D

see you later with pics. x

Hi girls, am back! :)
We were into the scan at 9.05 so nice and early. :)
Baby woke up just as I lay on the table! lol
Saw lovely images of spine, ribs, arms, legs (bones) toes, fingers, face including the lips, etc.. saw a tiny flicker of the heart at first but bubs turned and had it's back 'up' to us..
Sonographer showed us babies bum and a lack of 'danglies' made her think its possibly a girl.. but said from that angle she couldn't be totally sure.
As she couldn't scan the heart (for the ribs and spine) I have to go back again in 2 weeks.. yay another scan! lol She said nothing to worry over just the way baby was lying.
The girls really enjoyed the scan and she brought them and Graham in for the whole thing. :)
pics to follow - got 2 today one of the face again and another of the head and body - not great shots due to the way bubs was lying but it was really cute seeing 'her' from a different angle! lol
Am really quite pleased by the thought of another girl, will really keep things simple when it comes to the bedroom arrangments and also will fit in with our two already nicely.
Hubby did laugh when she said it 'could' be a girl..as thats what they said with Erin! lol

So, plan of action now is midwife next week then scan the week after. :)
Had a lovely trip to nearby city centre shopping outlet, didn't buy pink 'in case' but bought myself some maternity jeans from New Look (£22 down to £8) in skinny fit and a 'whats kickin'' t-shirt with cute baby footprints and a black t-shirt (2 pack). So am feeling quite 'me' again! lol
