Purple Hugs - Babe in arms!!

Sometimes i think these ppl dont live in the real world.

I hadnt thought about it in terms lol and like u say it will be no time at all b4 there off for xmas..... Oh what a thot..

Good luck today xx

How old is Rhiannon? I always think of her at around 3. lol
I just think this term is one of the speediest to go as we break it up with all sorts. Halloween is half term, then guy fawkes, then Adele's birthday, then Xmas is just over month later.
The first half of term we are concentrating on decorating our bedroom - hubby has been clearing it into the spare room to get ready for painting when the girls go back to school.

thanks for the well wishes :)

Shes 4. SO her last year at nursery. I was telling her she will be a big girl when she goes back on monday and there will be wee ones to look after. Shes so excited about it. Tho she keeps asking how long it is until xmas. As thats when ive said baby is coming after xmas. Tho it will be a few weeks after that. She just cant wait. She said to me yday that she was dreaming about her babysister.. bless her.

Aww bless her! Adele is 5 in November and full of the joys of baby! she listens to my tummy all the time.
We all went to the midwife appointment and she was THRILLED to hear the baby's heartbeat and said it sounds like hers! lol Bless her. :) Erin said it sounds like a horse and Adele told her off! :p

All was well with my checks. Asked MW about the nose bleeds and she said they are fairly common in pregnancy. My BP was 104 / 55 today so she reminded me to watch for dizzy spells (I could have told her that.. ) lol - as pregnancy lowers BP too.
She was a different midwife but now the 3rd I've met from my team. Met a new student too who was lovely. She asked about birth plan / pain relief plans and is sending me a leaflet of breast feeding support but said they are able to come out to me at home every few hours to offer support when needed I'll just have to call them so that's great news. Am also looking up a breast feeding support group a few miles away from us at a new clinic - aparantly they do baby massage too so that sounds lovely.

Baby's hearbeat is still at 140 and it moved while we were listening lol. uterus measurement is 20cm so not far off 1cm a week still.

I got my MatB1 for maternity allowance - and am due back in 4 weeks again so will get my form for the HIP grant.

Oh got an emma's diary too so a couple of bits to pick up from Asda and Argos next time we're in town! lol

All in all a good check.

What a wonderful afternoon/evening we've had. :)
I had a nap around 2pm and went out with the girls and graham when I got up. headed to the country park as the sun was up and a lovely day etc. Playpark was busy but they had fun, then ice-cream. Went up to see thunder and groomed him with the girls help. Nipped to Asda and got some BBQ bits, had a BBQ (late one) in the garden with the girls then Adele headed to bed not long after. :) Graham had put the spa on, so I lit a load of candles and put them around the decking balastrade posts which made it look lovely and sat on a chair while they had a spa! lol I had a cuppa and chatted away, I didn't get in as I get a chill sometimes on getting out and with my cold I didn't want to make it worse.
so.. a lovely evening - watching BB now and then bed! lol

:bliss::bliss::bliss::bliss::bliss:
22 weeks today!
2 weeks till baby is at the 'viable' age of 24 weeks and I can't wait for them to pass quickly!

2 days till we have our re-scan of baby so fingers x'd all is fine with baby's heart and they can see it properly this time. Also that baby's sex can be confirmed! lol

Erin felt baby move last night for the first time.

I'm 13st 13lb today - not sure when I updated my weight last, but may add it to my ticker now to keep my eye on it! lol
I did teeter into the 14 st mark but lost that nuisance lb.. want to stay in 13 st range as long as I can.. I know baby may tip me over, but don't want to go over yet.

Good thing is, I'm able to cope with fruit and veg a lot better at the moment. So am really pleased to be able to eat healthier. Am now 'off' crisps as I normally am now too so that's good news. just gotta curb my puddings but that's my trouble not the baby's! lol

We have some friends up at the weekend for a few days so that'll be nice. :D can't wait to see them as haven't seen them in ages. One of my girlfriends whose coming up has lost 5 and a half stone on her own 'diet plan'!! she's still a size 22 but that's a massive loss for her and you can really see it in her face so can't wait to see her in the flesh! Am so pleased for her.

Will update on tuesday how the scan goes.

off crisps?? how do u manage that. I have been so addicted to them the last few weeks, hence d weight gain. 22 weeks already. I always know when u post how far along u r, im not far behind u lol

Did u read about the wee baby at 22 weeks who was born early and didnt make it. All ready for the funeral and dad heard the baby crying, it was still alive... shocking isnt it. Just shows u how resiliant these wee babas are...

Well done to ur pal. Ive been crying to OH all morning about my weight. I really cant afford to put on anymore weight. he started blaming the 7lb on the baby lolol men just dont have a clue.

lol I did read that I should have gained between 11 and 15 lb by now in my pregnancy, so your DH is right in a round about way. Shell explained it well that most of the weight gain is increased blood / fluid etc. Makes sense really.
My baby is supposed to be just under a foot long now and just under 1lb in weight.

I read about a baby abroad who was in a cardboard temp coffin home to be 'prepared' for the funeral and the parent found it alive and crying!! if thats the same one, then yes indeed it is shocking!!
I can't wait to be 24 weeks next - as that's the date when if baby comes early they get all the care they need - like Shell is waiting for tomorrow. I know a lady who had a little girl who was 23 weeks and nothing was done for her :( She died and it was awful. She had twins a few years later at 24 weeks they did EVERYTHING for them and they both survived, one has special needs but the other twin is fine. They actually weighed less than the baby girl when she was born so it was really hard on the mum to accept that they couldn't have saved her baby girl.

Fingers x'd none of us need scbu or the 'viable' date and just march past it with no trouble.

Have been busy collecting Avon catalogues I dropped off - just started doing it. Am off to drop more later while the day is quiet! lol

As for being off Crisps.. I never normally eat them. If the world was full of crisps I'd be slim honestly! lol But ate LOADS in the first 4 motnhs of pregnancy.. like you was craving them! lol So am glad to be back to not being bothered by them! lol
Bought loads of fruit and veg earlier, am having falafals with veggies in pitta for dinner then fruit salad later. :) Even avoided a bar of Choc in the supermarket today - LO had a sweet but I didn't give in! lol

That must have been d same story.

We just went to the shops and i was d only one not to get a choc bar. Couldnt really pick it after all d crying ive done today lol

We had a wee one at 22 or 23 weeks born in our hospital and they did what they could then. Our neo natal unit is one of the busiest in scotland. One boxing nite i was on niteshift and they were short staffed and i got sent there to help out. It was lovely dealing with the babies. But dont think i could do it permanent, it would be to heartbreaking.

We are all doing great so far, which is great. Soon be the sept weekend. Then oct week, etc etc

Well done on the choc bar avoidance! As I said to Erin, if I'm good as much as I can be, then it's better than being naughty all the time! lol she did laugh. :)

I thought about doin avon d other week. But when d woman told me u have to make £80 b4 u get any commision i decided not to bother. Let us no how u get on.

Crisps im gonna try cut them out and lose a few pounds. Goin to try n have a brekkie lunch and dinner n nothing else.... thats d plan anyway lol

Aww that's a shame it didn't work out well with your avon. I'm not expecting much from it I must admit - it's just something to keep me busy at the moment !lol
I've £115 so far this time and haven't actually given out to anyone other than friends / neighbours - still waiting for my account number etc.
Partly I need to keep up a 'self employed' occupation for my maternity allowance and also working tax credit.

The story of that baby is awful. the baby was really prem and rushed back to hospital to be put on scbu set up.

thanks hun, but it doesn't need to do much. I worked for Ann Summers years ago so am familiar with the whole commission thing - just dont' want to be doing party planning anymore.

Am off to my re-scan this morning. Am a little nervous, but trying to keep a PMA.
Appointment is 11am - just hope they don't keep us waiting too long as we're taking the girls lol.

Baby has been a bit quiet since yesterday lunchtime - when I went out. Have felt it moving but not as much as normal, last night and this morning earlier on. I'm sure all is fine, but just noticed it that's all.

Thanks hun, at the moment I'm sat here trying to distract myself.. 5 mins till we leave and I'm panicking... trying to control my breathing.. Wouldn't mind but graham doesn't drive so I'm driving there.
Adele is being a minx.. think she's picked up on my anxiety..

Breath jane.. breath.. I don't even understand why i'm suddenly nervous. :(

Aww Lisa - look at your baby Grace! She is BEAUTIFUL!!! Here come my tears again! lol Seriously pleased all went well for you and hope you are recovering well from birth and settling into Graces arrival. ((hugs))

Thanks for the support too Kirsty, really do appreciate it!

Well.. scanned, with no joy.. again.. so sent away for a walk, a bar of chocolate (yeah a great excuse I know) and a re-scan on a stronger machine - in a cupboard!! lol which did have a bed and seat so was set up but not used often I don't think.

But.. great news is, baby is fine, heart was visable - and all chambers etc are fine. YEAH!!! lol
I was having to use deep breathing to even get us there, DH was really patient but worried about my fears I think. It felt like I felt when I went to my 6 week early scan for some reason. Baby wasn't moving till we actually lay on the bed.

But, movements in the scans and we got a lovely picture, which I'll post when DH has scanned it on. We saw baby kind of waving - fluttering it's fingers with arm outstretched. Really was adorable to see the fingers.

Am SO relieved I can't tell you! lol

And.. IT is definately a SHE!

Glad it went well PH :)

Thanks girls. Have emotionally settled with a lovely walk in the woods and a cuddle with my pony! lol

Here's the promised pic:

Talked to Graham about settling on a name too - so fingers x'd we can do that soon.
