Purple Hugs - Babe in arms!!

lol thanks shell

Weight gain varies for everyone - at least you weighed, I was in complete denial last time and stopped weighing!

Shell - tablets are nicer, the tea is dreadful! Just check the tablet strength as to whether they're 400mg or 900mg ones! I took one a week to start with, 2 a day at 34 weeks, 3 at 35 and then 4 a day from 36 weeks until I delivered!

lol I have sort of shunned the scales a bit, but thought I'd better to stop myself being too bad! lol I used to weigh daily as have found I gain loads if I don't weigh for a while even without baby in tummy! lol

I'm sure come the new year I'll be trying to shift lbs again but all is not lost.

Useful to keep on track and motivated I find!

don't fret too much, 1lb in the last 4 weeks is all i've gained! I seem to have done things in reverse! lol
Maybe baby is gaining more and using some of my 'stores' lol I can but hope!
And BF will help us I'm sure. :)

oooh not checked for a couple of weeks, probably cos I know I have ballooned in last month....anyway loving the baby stuff, you look really organised, hopefully once we have our bed in place I can start to think about where the moses basket/cot will go too. Anyway it's looking lovely

Thanks :) I'm loving the brightness of the room when the sun shines it is amazing. I want to get some crystals for the window to reflect in the room will be lovely.
Yours will soon come together. I was hoping to get the moses beside the cot but had underestimated the length of the cot! lol
it'll work this way and we can use the stand downstairs in the daytime. :)

Hello glad all is well .O love the pics off the room it looks lovley :)
I have just bought some tea wondeirng if I should havce bought the capsules like last time .I will try the tea today and if its horrid will buy some capsules only bought it because it was on special offer lol
i used capsules last time and was induced so not sure if it helped with labour but had hardly any bleeding after the birth and when mw checked me everything was back to normal

Thanks :)
Must get around to looking for the capsuals.

Well I took the girls and DH (along with a friend of Eldest DD's and her mum) to the national museum in Cardiff. :) Was great - walked for miles of course, but had lots of breaks. Just wish i'd found the lift before almost the end! lol
Am shattered now, but was well worth it.

Woke with cramp at 4am this morning - so along with 3 visits to the loo as normal, I didn't sleep too well. DH woke when I was walking in the bedroom - bless him he massaged my leg for me to ease the cramp and then admitted earlier that he had a fright when he woke up as he thought I was in labour! Bless him! lol
Guess I need to be quieter next time or just wake him! lol

Should sleep better tonight.. or I hope I do! lol

I got capsules in holland and barretts ;) they have a buy one get anything half price across the whole store at the moment too. Think 100 400mg capsules was £6.49 though

I suffer with cramps when pregnant, PH. I get the most excrutiating pains in my lower legs and often wake up screaming.

The next day,I can still feel the ache in my calf muscles.

Haven't had them yet with this pregnancy but am quite sure they'll be here soon.

Alex

Shell, thanks - we don't have a store near us, but will have a look around as there are a couple of health /natural food stores I shop at occasionally.

Alex - ((hugs)) on the cramps.. they're not nice are they! I also have been left with pain afer cramps in the past, don't suffer much but occasionally I'll get it in my feet if twisted or something. I remember having it with my eldest too, and now again. Normally easy to walk off but not last night.

Nevermind, will soon settle again.

Yes I hope they do settle for you PH. It's all you need on top of being pregnant.

Alex

Thanks kirsty - we have to try and keep our LO busy! lol she's a whirlwind otherwise! lol

Well.. it hit me today in Mothercare when looking at little dresses that this is REALLY happening!! My goodness I'm having another baby! lol
And SHE will be adorable. :)
I've got to make a short list of a few items I NEED to buy like nappy bucket, more nappies etc. An am going to get baby a dress too :) I have loads of trousers, all in ones etc, but not one dress! lol

Also have started thinking about the fact I'll need to express as well as BF so gotta get my head into gear with that fact - only really for a bit to leave when I'm at college.

I spoke to an oncology ward today about volunteering in the new year - the ward sister was lovely and really pleased to hear from me! So great news. I will need to speak to the volunteer co-ordinator in a month (they're not processing new volunteers at the moment) - but I'll need to do a CRB and occ health assessment - she assured me no lifting of patients etc involved, but things like helping with hygiene, hair washing etc. But everything will help toward experience and if I need to do bank nursing in the future it'll count for a lot. :)

Am thrilled! lol

Morning all, feeling bright and breezy after a good nights sleep for a change! lol
Only 2 pit stops last night at midnight and 5.30am so that was great news! Only thing is my DH woke at 5.30am and he's been up since then! lol

Off to town with the girls for lunch today and to get some xmas cards and wrapping paper in. :) trying to get organised.

Have midwife later (not till 3.30pm) am taking the girls and DH so that'll be a bit manic with our LO, but it's nice they can come along. :)

Thanks hun :)
had a lovely morning! :)

well.. we hit a retail park near Swansea in the end - got a 3 for 2 deal on cards in paperchase and some wrapping paper for presents the girls know about - we'll get wrap for theirs later without them. lol Then hit Next and got some tiny xmas trees for table / side board decorations, napkins (in the pink/green/purple and red range they have at the moment) that match our charger purple hand blown plates we've had for years now. :) Want the napkin rings too but they didn't have them in. also hit Tesco's for some bits for the girls, Erin got a couple of bra's and knickers from new look, then LO got pj's and track bottoms from tesco.
Topped off with 2 course lunch at Frankie and Benny's for a treat it was a great time and LO behaved brilliantly for a change! lol

My goodness what a wait!
1 hour 15 mins with my DH and girls for the midwife! :( little un tried her best but isn't a patient 4 year old! lol
All was well with the appointment though - Baby is head down, 3/5 engaged, BP was 70/40 which MW wasn't worried over just said to remember dizziness can happen at that sort of level - though I'd been sat for more than an hour. lol Fundal height 33cm so that was fine too. :)

2 weeks till next appointment. :D

Glad to be home - after a quick shifty muck out with my pony! lol literally all of us had jobs to do and got it done in 15 mins when it normally takes us around 40 mins, or 60 if me on my own! lol

hmmmm I thought I should have seen midwife this week too, but she insisted it was 34 weeks when I saw her next, not that I find her much help...never mind, been and had all that reassurance yesterday, so is okay.

you sound bang on target for fundal height and head down is all good news =)

It's going so quick now! I will certainly be making sure my hospital bag is sorted this weeked with a charged mobile that has credit on it!

:) does seem to be going quickly doesn't it.. amazing really.
sorry you haven't had an appointment but at least you know all is well as have seen hospital. ;)
I nearly had to wait 4 weeks as week 2 was full (means I'll be waiting again I expect) and week 3 is a 'training day' so no clinic. week 4 she felt was too long at my stage so that is something.

really must try and remember my hospital bag - I keep forgetting! lol
