Purplebint's Diary

Enjoy the gym - no-one will stare or be interested, and it will be full of every conceivable size & shape if it's like any that I've ever been too. There are always a few perfect bodies, but they're usually so busy looking at the self in the mirror, they aren't interested in anyone else anyway! The gym can be a great motivation & excercise improves positive mood as well (apparently). Just don't beat yourself up if you don't go, and don't set unrealistic targets.

You can wear more or less anything, I echo what's been said here already. Fortunately the days of the thong leotard are long gone except in mens imaginations!

Enjoy!

Haha, a thong leotard gives me a mental image of trying to use the gym dressed like Borat.

Tonight's dinner -

Sticky chilli chicken and peppers, herby wedges and salad.

I love the gym & classes but ours is 8miles away, tiny & only 1 in area that is reasonable priced & it is always mobbed, spent more time w8in on equipment than exercising!!!! U will enjoy tho. Is there a sauna? That's the best bit!!!!!

Ha!! I used to own a thong leotard many years ago - I recall my OH used to call it a 'cheese grater'. I can't imagine I ever had the body to wear it!

Pics or it didn't happen ;)

Mine is 2km away, no bus route and up a hill. I can cycle there in just under 15 mins though, probably a lot quicker when I get used to the hill. I'm hoping that as I'll be using it at odd times, weekday and weekends mid morning mostly, that I'll miss 'peak time'.
No idea on the sauna, or what else they have really. I can't imagine they have too many awesome facilities though or they'd be charging more than £18 a month, lol

Haha!!

Snack - Apple, 4 x ryvita rye (hexb) + clover light (2 syns) + ham.

1 mug coffee (will call this half a hexa to cover the milk used)

Hi there

I sent you a message earlier about recipes so I thought I'd come and look at your diary. Looks like you are doing so well on Slimming World. I fell off the wagon a while back after doing well, so I'm here to try again. I like cooking (when I have time) so it's great to see such a good food diary.

:)

I've replied to your PM :)

I love cooking, I'm really glad that SW works so well with home cooking. I think the reason I've struggled on so many other diets is the reliance on packaged foods. The only way we can afford to eat the way we do is because I cook so much from scratch, I just couldn't afford to buy convenience foods anyway.

Hope you enjoy it back on the wagon :)

I agree, the best way to eat so well on the plan and lose weight healthily is by cooking each meal from scratch. From time to time, I have a mullerlight/cereal bar or Option, otherwise everything is made from scratch and I enjoy cooking.

Agreed :)

It's Taster Night at Fat Club tonight (hence saving most of my syns up ;) ) , I'm making an extra batch of the syn free sweet potato and red onion bhaji, and will take some of my homemade lime pickle too.

I don't think I'll be having much of a loss this week, I feel a bit bloated and I've upped my exercise a lot this last week which tends to scupper me on the scales short term.

Just seen that come dine with me are after contestants on your area and thought of you;) I got down to the final auditions a couple of years ago and just missed out! ITV then asked me to audition for best dish but I didn't fancy that!

You should go for it ;)

Sneaky weigh in at home puts me 4lb up  (I need to chuck those scales, I can't resist popping on them)

Unfortunately, I have a face for radio and couldn't face the thought of being on telly. *shudder* I'd put people off their food! hehe

Good luck with WI tonight. could you please let me have your homemade lime pickle receipe. Thanks

Lime pickle recipe is on my old blog - Life of Bint: Easy Lime Pickle I just left out the oil this time, it's worked fine but needs to be kept in the fridge rather than left in the cupboard.

Face for radio my backside!! you are gorgeous. Dont talk yourself down lady
