Rachel's Food Diary! I WILL be a slim bride!

Thanks Zoe, really looking forward to it! I'm really hoping for a loss this week, if i STS i wont mind but if i gain i'll be gutted so really gonna try make sensible choices when i'm out tomorrow night!
 
In sure u won't gain even if u have a wobbly weekend I'm sure u wont gain anything! X x

Hi Sarah - for the roasted new potatoes i just spray them with fry light and put loadsa salt and pepper on them with some garlic cloves and roast them at 200 degrees for about 45 mins!
 
Okay so me trying to stay on plan this weekend hasnt worked, AT ALL! I kinda knew i wouldnt have enough willpower, once me and my sister get together we love eating and drinking and she is SUCH a bad influence, eating whatever she wants and staying so slim!

So, even though i've not been on plan at all, i'll post my food diary anyway...

Saturday

Breakfast - Bacon sandwich (fat removed) on a small wholemeal roll (HEb) with 1/2 tbsp light mayo

Lunch - We decided to take lunch in the car to avoid eating out twice and i made pasta with the rest of the lean bacon i'd cooked, with light cheddar cheese (HEa) and tesco lights choices cottage cheese and spring onions. At this point things were going SO well! haha!

We got to birmingham and the boys went off to the football so we went shopping. We decided to have some ice cream so i had 1 scoop from a stand in the Bull Ring - not so bad, i could have had 3 scoops!
We then realised it was only 3pm and we werent eating until 7.30pm and we were both feeling hungry (i only ate half my pasta and couldnt exactly go back to the car!) so we shared a hot dog!

Tea - Thai chicken burger (grilled - and i only ate half of the bun) with fries and salad. Oh, and a litre of wine between me and my sister :eek:
We then went out after tea to a wetherspoons and got an other bottle of wine between me and my sister, and ended up in Reflex where i had a vodka and diet coke.....and then we ended up sharing a HUGE cocktail with Apple Sourz, Apple Vodka and an Apple VK in it. Classy! I had an awesome night though, it was so much fun :)

Sunday

Breakfast - 6 chicken nuggets from Mcdonalds. Seriously.

Lunch - We stopped off at a friends in Derby on the way back from Birmingham and he cooked us a Sunday dinner. I had lean pork, 1 gluten free yorkshire pudding, 2 roasties, parsnips, carrots, peas and gravy.

Tea - We were supposed to be eating out again tonight to celebrate Mothers Day with the OH's mum, but she isnt feeling very well so she's asked if we can just go round and bring a chinese with us. I havent even decided what i'm going to have yet, but no point in restricting myself haha even though its WI tomorrow the damage has already been done, i might as well enjoy myself for what little is left of the weekend and just get STRAIGHT BACK ON plan tomorrow. So, i'm assuming its going to be a gain this week, but at least i know i CAN lose it again and i WILL. Its just a blip in whats going to obviously be a long journey and i'm going to try not to get down about it!

Well it sounds like you had a really good weekend Rachel, call it a flexi ;) Mcdonalds chicken nuggets are my fave, though I'm really bad and like to get a burger too as I put a few chicken nuggets and some fries in my burger and add loads of bbq sauce (well I did before slimming world anyway). Its delish :drool: I do get a few stares while eating this haha

How exciting that you're getting married, congrats! I've been engaged for 4 years now and we still haven't planned anything (mainly due to money) and I think I'll be waiting at least another 4 years before we finally have enough money to tie the knot! Have you planned everything you want for the big day?

Yeah i thought i'd write it all down and at least be honest about the fact i've binged massively this weekend haha! To be fair though, writing it down it doesnt seem AS bad as i thought it was. Life's too short to not enjoy yourself though :) i really want to slim down but i feel like i've done really well so far and know i can get back on track!

Leah - That mcdonalds burger sounds amazing haha! I would usually get chicken nuggets and a burger too but combining the two had never crossed my mind! I felt i was quite self controlled just getting the 6 nuggets, especially with a hangover ;)
We've planned quite a lot considering we only got engaged last September! We've got our venue, florist, photographer, videographer, a DJ and someone playing acoustic guitar in our ceremony/reception drinks all booked so far :). I'm SO excited, and i'm loving planning it! I havent stressed out too much yet but i imagine nearer the time i'll go into Bridezilla mode! At least you have a long time to enjoy being engaged and you can save etc and not get into debt like some people too when they decide they want to get married! xx
 
Ah Rachel you cannot always live your life by a diet. Like you said straight back on it tomorrow. Glad you had a good weekend tho and you were in my neck of the woods on Fri lol. X
 
It's nice to see you enjoyed yourself too much and you haven't let the fact that you've gone off plan get you down :) I think it's hard to do that - so well done and good luck with getting back on track in the morning - but I'm sure you don't need it! :)
 
Thanks girls :) I did have a really good weekend, but got up this morning and I've put on 2lb :( I am a bit gutted but I know that I did have an awesome weekend and Its not like I eat/drink like that all the time (anymore...) so I'm trying to stay positive! Draw a line under it and move on. Straight back on plan today, I obviously won't reach my mini target of reaching Club 10 by Saturday so I'm just going to move the target back and give myself more time. I'm still going to browse the wedding dresses on Saturday and will still be happy that I'm 13lb lighter than the last time I tried them on :)

Food diary for Monday -
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - chicken salad
Snack - melon, grapes, vanilla mullar light
Tea - Roasted Veg Lasagne - lasagne pasta sheets, Aubergene, courgette, mushrooms, peppers and spinach with a tomato, red onion and garlic sauce. Topped with White sauce (5 syns for my portion) sliced tomatoes and light cheese (42g HEa). Served with roasted new potatoes and salad. We're having fruit salad for dessert :)

So, lots of superfree for me today and only 5 syns. I'll be sticking to plan 100% this week!

Hi Rachel - Just thought Id pop in a say hello seeing as Im also Rachel, getting married in August and am determinned to be a slim bride!
Started a new food diary today. Have lost just over a stone so far since getting engaged just before xmas but its now less than 20 weeks to the big day so I thought a food diary would really help me focus!!!

Great diary by the way - love your honesty!

PS - My colours are mainly purple, but with red and fresh green - sounds vile but it REALLY works!

PPS - The picture isnt me (unfortunately) its the dress I have to fit into for 1st fitting in 12 weeks!!

Rachel - Hi! Congratulations on the engagement! I'm so jealous your getting married so soon after getting engaged, i've planned loads of our wedding so far and it just makes me think we could have definitely got married this year instead of next! Never mind though, i'm enjoying being engaged! Your colours sound nice, really vibrant and summery, they dont sound vile at all! Also your dress looks gorgeous from the picture! Good luck for the big day and i'll look forward to following your weight loss journey on here! xx
