Hi all

Just been to the gym, done 4.5 miles and enjoyed it! Also managed to fall over on the way out down a couple of stairs!! :rotflmao: daft mare i am! should have paid attention and not been busy gasing!!!

Have also booked in the quacks at 8.30 in the morning decided i should get the thyroid checked out again (have previously had an under active thyroid for 10 months but it corrected itself ... Have been told it will go again at some point as mum has the condition and it is hyreditory (sp??)) That might explain the slow weightloss as only 15lb in 5 months! If not i will see what doc suggests as also running approx 15 miles a week so i would have thought it would have shifted a bit quicker!

Its still so cold although no heating on today, debating taking the kids to see Harry Potter tonight or tomorrow at The 02 (the dome to me and you!) decisions decisions!!!

Wow 4.5 miles! I would love to run but the combination of being morbidly obese and having a large chest doesnt help . I have tried a couple of times to start running but it felt really uncomfortable and I find the cross trainer and bike much easier. I might try again in a few months when I feel a bit lighter and fitter.

Hi Andi

I thought the exact same and started by walking then running for a minute at a time... You will be surprised how quickly it builds up! Also bought a NIKE + Sports Kit for my Nano and have downloaded a couple of personal trainer training sessions... Must admit i don't run the whole way but run more than walk as i am building gradually as i have put in for the Marathon!

I'm also 17.5 stone with a E cup size chest, but a good sports bra has made a difference!

A good running bra can do wonders!!!! They are fairly cheap as well....... go on give it a whirl

Well i went and had a chat with the doctor and he agreed the weight should be coming off quicker, so i have been up the hospital and had blood taken for Thyroid Function Test and Diabetes test.... I now have to wait a week for the results......

When i walk the dog up to the canal im gonna try and do some running.I hope your results come back quickly, so you can sort this out.It must be so frustratingxx

Frustrating is a under statement! Spoke to my cousin earlier she is a personal trainer and she said it should be falling off me!!

WI thursday so lets see what happens or i'll be fed up again!

I no a couple of years ago when i was going to the gym 5 times a week i never lost a thing,it was so frustrating.I no we tone up but i had a good 4 stone to loosexx
