RB's Sole source hell!

I am doing sS for same reason take food away and no choice so I can't make bad choices I will be doing this for around 4 months :( now that scares me x
 
Let's hope we can I'm afraid if I eventually go on SS + that will entice me into my old habits do going to try And stick it out for as long as possible just glad I'm over the last 3 days god I realised what real hunger was like Jox

Morning team, Day 7 and weigh in tonight! yikes:eek: just off out for the day with shake no1 in hand! does anybody have any tips on timings etc so i don't get a "waterlogged" weight later? not looking for a artificially low weight but dont want a high one either!

And before anyone suggests it getting weighed in my boxers is not an option!

Morning rugger whoooo hoo day 7 for you should be very proud well made it to day 4. Went to bed dreaming of biting into a big mac!!! Just kept tryin to think of something else. I don't think drinking. Your water as usual today will make any difference as its prob overall the week how you have done can't wait to see your weigh in tonight soooooo exciting Jo x

Hi Jo thanks for looking in. Once I got to 20 posts i was allowed to post an avatar. I couldn't do it from my iPhone so had to do it from my laptop. I just choose a photo then used the website shrinkpictures.com to get it to the correct size ( I found this through a Google search)

Then hey presto! 1x photo of me with a freshly broken nose! Lol x
 
Great news thank you feel anonymous without a pic lol So at least soon people can put a face to a name your pic looks good and wouldn't suspect a broken nose at all hope didn't hurt too much Jo x

Hey RB! Doing great! Have you read the diary of Yolande? She's been doing SS for quite a while and has lost 60+lbs! Her diary is really inspirational - she just keeps going and getting through the diet one day, one week at a time.

I'm on ss as well, but with the addition of some protein on days I work out. That said, I can't say that I always stick to ss, but when I fall off, I've been doing it with foods that hopefully minimize the impact (celery, nuts, hard cheese). Sometimes you just have to have something to chew!!! :)

The target is to get to goal weight by mid-end July and I figured if I keep up at my current rate (which isn't nearly as fast as some people on CD), I will make it. It's a bit intimidating to think of so many weeks/months on CD - the best advice I've had so far is to focus on *this* week and not worry about the longer haul.

My weigh-in is in the morning and I confess I do not drink or eat before going. However, if your weigh-in is always at the same time of day, then your daily intake is probably already factored in. That said, depending on how fast your body deals with the water, perhaps you can stop drinking an hour or so before the weigh in?

I'm glad my post was of some help to you Jo and thanks for the comment, on the proper photo you can see about a pint of blood on my chin! nd would you believe the call for a paramedic was made after the photo!

I'll check out her diary later tizzy, thanks for pointing me in that direction, I will need to consider adding protein in at some point down the line, as I'm hoping to get back into exercise properly as soon as I'm at a weight my knees won't protest to me jogging! Lol

just had a text from my CDC asking if she could bring my appointment forward to 5.45, which is not a problem so slightly less of a wait for my weight.

in the interests of going lightly clothed, I've considered losing the belt or going commando, but not sure doing both would be a good idea!
 
That's good news rugger ermmmm nope would stick to maybe the clothes you wore when you first got weighed? lol Jo x

Think i might try a soup this week, but I've heard various opinions that they aren't great, does anyone have any recommendations? RB x
 
Chicken and mushroom is lovely leek and potato is nice and mushroom but guess everyone has different tastes I been having 2. Shakes a day then a soup going to try veg tonight x

Well just back from my first weigh in, brought 2 soups to give them a try, a chicken and mushroom and oriental chilli.

booked in for the same time next week so here we go again....... One major difference I've noticed in my mindset from last time is now i would be thinking...... "well, I've got all week to be good, a takeaway won't hurt" but this time I'm writing this slurping on a choc mint shake made with ice and a sports bottle full of water.

oh nearly forgot........ 11lbs off! whoop whoop :happy036:

Im new to CD and i was wondering how you know when katosis kicks in and also can you achieve katosis if you still have a 200 kcal meal at night?
 
Welcome to the forum Charlie all I know about ketosis kicks about 3/4 days and one of the signs is bad breath I'm only on day 4 so just learning myself but someone will guide you along the way


By the way rugger veg soup is vile,disgusting,horrible Jo x
