Big, busty and Blowsy!
An eventful day so far! there I was, eating my lunch (baked beans mixed with bacon and mushrooms on 2 slices of wholemeal bread) when there was a knock at the door. I thought it was my Avon lady, but it turned out to be my son's friend who he had been out on a bike ride with. He told me that Jack had fell of his bike, hitting it on the edge of the kerb and there were 2 policemen there along with an ambulance, and it was thought that Jack had broken his leg.
I rushed upstairs to get dressed, then was in a panic what to do next as I was alone and didn't want to leave the house incase the police came to inform me of my son's accident. So, in a fit of inspiration, I rang my local police station to see if they had any details that would help me decide what to do next. The lovely w.p.c. told me to stay at home and she would try to find out the details. 3 mins later she rang back to say that he was ok, and was being brought home in the ambulance!
Jack was delivered home, with just a knocked up knee, and a huge lump on his head, with instructions to rest, and try to sleep.
It was with relief I thanked the paramedics, and the police escort.
It is now 1.5 hours later, and I think my heart has just returned to normal! Jack is prowling around the house, saying "I'm starving!" so he's nearly back to normal!
I am now about to do his lunch so will finish on here.
I will leave you with a thought of the day:- Kids are a pain in the ar*e, they fight, argue, sulk, and cause mayhem! But if there's something that threaten them, they become OUR pains in the ar*es, and we will protect them with all the ferocity of a lion protecting their cub!
