Had a pretty good day yesterday, I keep being naughty and buying treats when I am on lunch but putting them out of view so that I fill up on my lunch and don't need bad food!! So far I have hidden a packet of fizzy cola laces and a Cadburys Fudge bar!! I went over my Syns for the week by 3 though but that was because I couldn't resist my end of the working week vodka treat hehe!!!

Well I WI this morning and lost another lb!! So I am now down to 10st 10.5lb! Which is quite ironic really as I thought I had gained as my tummy is quite bloated! Not bad for my birthday week eh?!

We have friends coming round for food and drinks tonight so we may get a takeaway or hubby may cook, depending on how tired he is after work! We don't have any other plans for this weekend so hopefully i can build up some syns for treats!

well done!

Had a fab night last night, our friends came round and instead of us having the normal Indian/Chinese takeaway we decided to try a Turkish restaurant not too far away from us for takeaway. It was so delicious!! We will definitely be getting takeaway from there again!!

I think it was because I'd not eaten much all day so I wasn't that hungry!! It was delicious though!!

No, we've not been out all weekend, we have been sorting our house out as we only had canvas bedroom furniture up to yesterday so we have moved A's room round and bought her some pink chest of drawers, we're getting her a pink wardrobe and we have bought us some pine furniture for our room and some paint for T to decorate it when he is off for half term!

Spent all day yesterday sorting out our house, we have a TINY house and have no proper storage so we decided to take the bull by the horns and buy some proper wooden furniture for ours and the baby's room. We didn't eat our tea until 10.30pm

Have you been clearing out as well, I love decluttering.

Guess what...i have your lentil dahl recipe bubbling away in the slow cook - smells divine, shame its for lunch tomorrow! How long ago did you give me that recipe?? Will let you know what we think

Yeah we need to, we live in a tiny 2 up, 2 down house so it gets cluttered so easily, we had no proper storage either so it was a nightmare, I grew up in a messy house so I can't bear mess but living in this house, you can't escape clutter, arghh!!

Was it me that gave you the lentil dahl recipe? I can't remember doing so  haha. See now I've hit 30 I have memory loss ;)

Had another day sorting out the house today, the little one has been in a foul mood all weekend and I found the reason tonight - she's teething through her molars :cry:So this one tooth has to come through, then the other 3 and then that's it! Bless her, she doesn't know what she wants, one minute she's laughing the next minute she is whingeing and headbutting us/the furniture!!

Hubby had a choice what to make for tea tonight and he chose the Homemade Wagamama's - we bought some Edamame beans in their pods from the Asian Supermarket yesterday so he steamed them and then Frylighted them with some sliced chilli and then put some Garlic Salt on them, wow!! They were lovely!!

He did the Yasai Chilli Men for main, it was lovely but it had a bit too much lemongrass in for me, I think if we did it again, we would only use one stalk of lemongrass rather than the 2 that the recipe states! But it was lovely and a nice change, here's to perfecting our Asian cooking!! :D
We customised the recipe to be SW friendly so if anyone wants it, feel free to ask!

Yasai Chilli Men...recipe please, just the name of it makes me want to eat it lol x

Your wish is my command ;)

Firstly you have to make the Chilli sauce, now T used 2 sticks of lemongrass but if you're not that keen on it I would just use 1:

Chilli Sauce

Frylight
1 or 2 lemongrass stalks (outer leaves removed, finely chopped)
1 tsp peeled & grated fresh ginger root
1 chilli, trimmed and finely chopped
1 red onion, peeled & finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled & finely chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 red pepper, trimmed, deseeded and finely chopped
1tbsp shop bought sweet chilli sauce
1tbsp Tomato Ketchup
300ml (1/2 pint water)

Heat the Frylight in a small pan over a hot heat, add the next 8 ingredients and sauté for 7-8 minutes without colouring. Add the red pepper and continue cooking gently for 8-10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Blitz in a blender & use

Yasai Chilli Men

250g Soba Noodles
Frylight
6*2cm (3/4in) cubes, firm tofu
6 button mushrooms
handful of sugarsnap peas
1 courgette, cut diaganolly into 5mm slices
2 carrots, peeled & thinly sliced
2 tomatoes, quartered
300ml chilli sauce (from recipe above)

Cook the noodles in a large pan of boiling water for 2-3 minutes or until tender. Drain & refresh under cold water. Heat a wok over a medium heat until completely hot and add Frylight. Add the tofu, stir fry for 5 minutes until golden. Add all of the vegetables and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender. Pour in the chilli sauce and bring to the boil. Divide the noodles between 2 plates and top with the stir fry.

Enjoy!!!
