Sarah83's Food Diary 2014

I'm so disappointed with myself, I've put on 1.5lbs this week. I know why but I still can't help feeling annoyed. I need to get a grip, only I can do this, nobody else. So annoyed with myself :-(

It's done now I can appreciate you will be down but just show those scales exactly what you can do next week and watch those numbers fall!

Thank you everyone, I haven't been 100% this weekend but much better than I have been last couple of weekend, the odd choc has snuck in alongside my vino but I've had a lot of successes including going out for lunch yesterday and picking well and saying no to cake, and avoiding roasties with dinner.

Here is my food for the weekend:

Saturday:
Breakfast: boiled eggs
Lunch: cheese and tomato omelette with salad
Dinner: Takeaway!! But I chose 'ok' compared to some choices: Piri Piri chicken breast and salad pitta with half a portion of fries

Sunday:
Breakfast: nothing
Lunch: veggie noodles with a bit of sweet chilli
Dinner: roast beef, boiled veg, cauliflower cheese (2 syns and 1/4 of a HEXA for cheese sauce mix from aldi)

And today we've had a serious bout of terrible twos but all is peaceful after bedtime ahhh

For the rest of the week I'm planning on 2 red days and 2 green days to shake things up a bit, fingers crossed I can pull myself together

Well done for not having cake! Hope you have a good week.

Thank you. We went to a local garden centre for lunch, and I was being good asking for a jacket pot with beans, only to be told there weren't any potatoes left! So I had to have a super quick scan and went for an omelette instead. I could have had a salad bowl I suppose, but I wanted something warm. They had some gorgeous looking home made cakes there but I resisted, yay! Small victories I suppose.

Sounds like a fab day! Well done on the NSV, I think once we say no once everything else becomes a lot easier!

Have a lovely day :)

Thank you, I am guzzling the coffee today though. My little darling decided 4.45am was a great time to wake up this morning, luckily she came into our bed and fell asleep (a rarity). Trouble is I'd woken up by then so spent the next hour 15mins, lying in bed awake wishing I was sleeping!!

Anyway I hope today speeds by as I'm really really tired!!

I also wanted to say that although it's been a bit tricky time-wise, I'm really pleased I've been fitting in brekkie in the morning before I leave, as it truly has kept me going in the mornings. Today for example I've just had my grapes and probably won't have anything else until lunch.
Whereas when I was having fruit and yoghurt once I got into work, it kind of kick started my appetite and meant I was continually snacking after that (on fruit but still...). Just means that I'm using a HEXB on toast everyday, which isn't always great on an EE day when I've only got one. But I've got plenty of ideas for days when I can't afford to have my HEXB first thing.

I'm making butternut squash chips for tea but I can't really remember how to do them, so I'll have to have a read up on that! Hopefully means I won't miss my carbs with my evening meal.

Hope you're all having a good day xx

Controversial it may be but I've decided to change my approach a bit...
As you've probably guessed by now I do like a drink, but I think I'm hanging too much on it, in a 'well I've blown my syns on wine I may as well eat all this chocolate/biscuits/cake/cheese' kinda way.

So my slight change in strategy is to stop counting my wine. I will make sure I have 3 days of no alcohol in the middle of the week, and only allow myself the equivalent of 7 syns per day/49 per week for everything else. Let's see how that works...

Got my butternut squash chips in the oven ready for tea, just hope they're nice! I'm starving!

That sounds interesting what's wrong with shaking it up a bit?? I will be really interested to see how you do!

I just think I'm using wine as an excuse to blow it on other stuff so if I 'allow' myself wine rather than syn it then hopefully I won't blow the rest of the day.

My butternut squash chips were yummy but I scoffed it all too quick to take a piccie!

I don't blame you, that sounds like a good idea, this was it might save you syns in the long run, by. It having the chocolate etc.

Anyway, wine should be super free. Wine is made of grapes. Grapes are good for you, it's part of your 5 a day. So really you need to have it. ;) xx

Haha you could say that about so many things, chips, crisps, chocolate!
I'm hoping it'll work, we'll see!

That's true, wine I can justify though as it's a drink and not good lol. If that makes sense xx

Had a total changearound today...
I was in a meeting all morning til 12.30 then had to go out to new look to take some boots back I ordered, and didn't have chance when I got back. Luckily I had emergency ryvitas philly I could scoff at my desk.

And dinner tonight changed from gammon as hubby didn't fancy it so we had sausages instead. And what an amazing sausage discovery too! Sainsburys extra lean Cumberland @ 0.5 syns each! Really tasty too so including extra light mayo I managed a sausage dinner at a massive 2 syns!

Morning everyone!

I'm working from home today and really happy about it too as the weather is horrendous! Just hope we don't have a power cut...

I had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning (naughty I know) and I'm 1.5lbs down from Friday so that's positive. If I can lose last weeks gain I'll. be really happy.

Going for a green day today. Picked up a yummy looking bag of stir fry veg reduced in co-op yesterday, only 50p! So that'll be for my lunch with either rice or noodles yum.

I also have no excuse but to do some exercise today so I'm going to try the Josie Gibson DVD I bought a couple of months ago - just hope I'm not in too much pain afterwards. I'll do it on my lunch break before I eat, it only takes 20mins but it's supposed to be tough!

Good morning hun,
Well done on your sneaky peep at the scales :)
It's awful out there today, what happened to yesterdays glorious sunshine. I'm also working from home and like you hoping that we don't get yet another power cut. The last one lasted over 6 hours and it was at the weekend in the middle of the day so we were all home. It was quite fun though but I didn't have to work!
Anyway have a good day.xx

Perks of working from home today - a fresh stir fry lunch yum!
I did the Josie Gibson workout DVD and it was really hard but as it's only 20mins hopefully I'll be able to fit it into my life. Instructor said to do it 4 times a week
