Sarah's Slim and Save Diary - 2 stone to lose......

I would wait to start after your holidays because having to take an upaid leave will stress you out as well as you'll probably be short of cash before you get paid in your new job.

That was my thought but on the other hand if I hand in my notice at my current job - they prob wont pay me for my holidays anyway....

Don't they pay holidaymoney? Even if you'd go on holiday, you should still get paid for the days you're not working.... that's why they are called holidays or annual leave. How long is your notice period?

I mean if I handed in my notice before my annual leave - they would prob end my contract before the holiday so they didn't have to put it out.

I would still get paid for holidays that I have accrued so far (but dont think its 2 weeks)

Not sure what my notice period is yet...

Then wait until after your holidays before you hand in your notice. They cannot cut your contract as they're legally obliged to follow the notice period unless they agree with you on another solution. Mind you, if your notice period is one month best to do it soon so that you will be able to start after your holidays.

Had a 100% day yesterday - then blown it today by having soup for lunch and an apple.

Could have been worse but I need to stop it now!

Nothing else will pass my lips today - I will be 100% tomorrow....

20 days at 100% challenge!!!!

I'm so fed up with myself that I've cheated today - I've given myself a good talking to and set my self a challenge. I want to stay 100% for 20 days - this will take me up to a week before my holiday (then I will do a week re-feed).

I am being strict - NO coke zero, Only one cup of tea in the evening with my bar and 3 shakes.

Tomorrow will be day 1/20 - no excuses!

Hi Sarah,

Good luck with the job. Do you have. Contract you cn read...check what the policies are and make your decision based on that.

Soup and an apple shouldnt hurt your losses. Might affect ketosis, but you'll get back into that quickly.

Good luck with your challenge.

Thanks Mel. I was only given my contract a couple of weeks ago and I haven't signed it and given it back yet..... See what happens tomorrow and go from there :)

I think you'll find you'll only get paid for the leave you've accrued anyway - whether you're still working there or not. If you want to start the new job immediately you're back I'd hand in your notice - they can't NOT pay you for the leave you've accrued. Be sure to read all the small print! And good luck with the new resolve! I hope you do better than I'm doing!! x

Thanks Jan...

Yesterday was a strange day - I got the new job!!!

And told my current employer that I was handing in my notice - they were really nice and let me go with immediate effect and will sort out my pay, commission etc... They understood why I wanted to leave and said that they would love to have me back once they are more established to be anaccount manager (they have only been trading 18 months so I was they're only member of staff and they are trying to get extra funding - I think they agreed that they could not afford me at this point)

So I've got a week off until I start my new job :)

I think it will do me good - I seem to stick to my diet at home and I'll take Hugo for lots of walks :)

Well done hun on the new job! that's fab! ENjoy your week off you can relax before starting afresh :)

xx

Yay to your new job! Enjoy your surprise holiday!!! Lucky Hugo.

Well done! All sorted eh? Enjoy your week off and hope the new job is more satisfying for you. x

Thanks Jan, I really liked the people I worked for but I wasn't suited for the job - I was their only employee so they put a lot of pressure on me. But they agreed that they were not ready to take on staff until they were more established.

-----------

So I weighed in boots yesterday afternoon (so its not an accurate weight cos I'd had tea, water and a bar) and I was 10st 5lb :)

I'm happy with that - defo think I can be in the 9's by my holiday if I keep it up! At last I seem to be back on track - going to do jillian michaels 30 day shred as well to see if that will help.

Well done you :) Glad you're feeling more positive and are 'getting there' now :D x

Thanks Jan :)

I've been 100% for 6 days now (mixture of 4 products or 3 and a meal) at last feeling less bloated :)

I've run out of bars now - think this will help by just having shakes for the next week or so...

Wow I bet you feel good! Good on ya gal!! ;) x
