Sarah's Slimming World Diary!

I was going to say that. Not good to have many!

Sorry I've been awol... still been doing SW, just had Dave here to stay so didn't have time to come on here!

I pretty much stuck to plan - not completely religiously but I did try. Bless him, Dave is happy to just have whatever is easiest for me on the plan so he cooked me a lovely sausage and mash one night. I made a tasty bacon and mushroom risotto last night which was syn free too. I'm pretty happy with how I did - made good choices most of the time but let myself have some things.

Really enjoyed Chiquitos the other night! Had a cheese dipper starter - was a spicy tomato sauce with melted cheese (think goats?) and nachos to dip in. Had a beef & pulled pork burger and fries for main. SO good!

We tried to fit in a bit of exercise too. Went bowling... sure that doesn't count but felt like it did! Also went for a nice swim too - and saw Tom Daley diving! The perks of living where he trains!

Oh... my plan today is...

B: toast (1/2 HExB), peanut butter (2 syns), 1/2 a banana (sf), muller yoghurt (f)
L: mushroom & bacon risotto (f & sf), Alpen light (1/2 HExB), grapes (sf)
D: not sure yet... maybe something with sausages.

I bought some new peanut butter - it is a powder. You can sprinkle it as it is, or you can mix it with water to make peanut butter. Was quite expensive but it is lower in cals and fat so I thought was a good idea! 2 tbsp of the powder and 1tbsp water makes a heaped tbsp of peanut butter. It tastes pretty similar! Is 45 cals, so 2 syns rather than 4.5!

Haha I know, I do have the satay sauce a lot! He finds it annoying how I don't mix up my food! We are moving in together in the Summer so I better get experimenting more! I found it on eBay but it is expensive! I thought it was worth the try.

Have done OK today. Haven't been out of the house as I have too much work, but am surprised at myself being able to resist the bad food! Had my lunch as planned but also a handful of cherry tomatoes. Then had a snack earlier of my HExA cheese and some Pombears. So syns for today are at 7. Might have a Curly Wurly later.

Sausages and mash for dinner I think. 1.5 syns for sausages. Leaving 0.5 syns! Haha!

I bet you'll love finally moving in together, I used to hate long distance before we finally got to be together. You'll probably eat more variety in general when your not a student and got a bigger budget, plus Dave sounds like he might help with cooking too?

Im awful if I'm in a snacks mood. I put on so much weight at uni, I think that's where my habits got so bad. I know it sounds a bit ott but I feel proud of you that your loosing so much weight and dealing with everything else, I think you're doing fantastically well! Xx

We've only been together 8 months so maybe a bit soon to some to move in, but it'll be over a year by the time we can and as soppy as it sounds, this feels so different to other boyfriends I've had - have no doubt this it it now :)

He'll deffo help with cooking! Ill still be a student, just commuting instead. He'll be teaching so ill try to cook more I think as I should have more time.

Thanks for saying that - so sweet! I've definitely done my fair share of snacking!

I think you're so right, when you know you know. I was only with hubby a year when we got engaged, and we hadn't lived together either as I was at uni 4 hrs from him. But we got married 8 months later and we've just had our first anniversary, and he's still the one. :) im not saying get married, lol. we were extreme but i just mean i dont think its too quick. its much easier with support.

And even with commuting you'll have more normality going home to him every night, bet you won't be far from target by then anyway. X

He's 22 and I'm 25 so I'm wary of things moving fast - I'm ready for it, but in older. Though it was him who suggested the living together so I suppose it's fine! He is a very mature 22 year old, so I suppose I'm comparing him to other 22 year olds I know when I worry it's too fast.

I think it'll definitely help living together - knowing he knows everything I eat! Plus he is very active so we can exercise together - great motivation!

Yesterday ended up being fine, phew! Settled into bed at about 8 with the TV and a muller yog and curly wurly. Mullers are 10 for £3 at the moment!! Bargain! That's at Morrisons - I got 10 but want more already!

Not sure about today's plan. Feel like I need to try something new for dinner. Might try a chicken goujon type thing with smash coating. We'll see!

Remember when you were talking about him and wondering how interested he was etc., glad it turned out well! Sound quite similar to me and Aaron! He's 22, I'm 26. We're looking at moving in together this summer IF I can get a job near him, though we've said we'll consider other places if need be too but would prefer Manchester. We've been together a year at the beginning of March so not really much longer than you. We've talked about moving in for a while but feel that this summer would be a good time, before felt a little early.

Yeah I remember that! Was so confused at the start as he is so shy! And now look at us!

So exciting about moving in - really hope you manage to get a job that works.

I'm going to have to move to where dave works - will be a 1.5 hour commute but only actually have a term at uni next year so won't be so bad.

Then hopefully I can get a job near there or we panic!

How did you find your smash gougons ( can't spell. Lol)? I quite like them as a change. I did chicken nuggets that way, had it with SW chips and was lovely to feel like I was having junky food but it was all on plan. X

Mmmm they were yummy! I just coated in egg and smash, then repeated. I did the same with onion rings once but it didn't work so well so thought I would coat the chicken twice.

They were good! Will definitely make again. Had with jacket potato, beans and salad and am now stuffed! Here is a pic...

Been sorting my banking out today and it is pretty horrendous! Slimming World is not helping... I'm finding I'm spending an awful lot of money on food.

My HExA is usually cheese - either Babybels or Dairylea triangles. Sometimes from a supermarket so cheaper, but often from co-op so not cheap! So, new plan is to have milk. I'm not a huge fan but think I could have it warm, or with a hot choc sachet. I did have Hazelnut milk but that's expensive too.

HExB is usually cereal bars. Stopped HiFi bars and switched to Alpen Light. Decided to stop those now and have bread as cheaper!

Goin to try to work my way through my cupboards now as I have plenty of meat and grains.

Such a pain being on SW and a student!

Bless you, I really feel for you. Maybe bulk making meals would help and then freezing? You could do chilli, bolognese, curry, stew? Have you got an also near you?
Were spending a fortune on fruit, I swear hubby inhales it! Lol.
I only single coated my nuggets but think ill double coat next time, sounds like it would get a more breadcrumb style coating.
X
