Sarah's Slimming World Diary!

Just been to the physio and I have 'suprapatella bursitis' which is something to do with a sac of liquid... Pretty sure I'm not meant to have it! Bloody hurts and he said I need to lay off the exercise. I have been going slightly over the top with it recently. He gave me some ultra sound treatment today and I have some stretches to do and then have to go back on Friday for more ultra sound. Then an injection if that doesn't work.

Is that a hip thing?

It does sound scary!

Had a busy day today. Didn't feel up to breakfast this morning at 7am- too early for me. Had 4 Alpen lights in the car! That sounds so extreme, but they're my 2 healthy extras as I'm doing a green day today. Had a lecture from 9-11, then some cheddars, then a lecture 11-12, jacket potato, cheese and beans with a side salad and a banana for lunch and then a lecture 1-3. Just been a bit non stop.

Stopped in to see my old work colleagues at uni which was nice. Had a good chat to them and then drive home. Hip was quite uncomfortable the whole drive home and I got quite a headache focussing on the road, what with 5 hours of concentrating in lectures.

Popped into my gym to cancel my power plate induction and say I wouldn't be there til my hip is better. We agreed on me doing kettlebells at home instead for now. Bit disappointed... Really getting into the gym. Got physio again in the morning.

Had some AMAZING news today!! I've always wanted to teach in America. I love America... Always wanted to travel there and teaching there has always been a dream. My uni offers an exchange for 4 weeks with a school there and last year I wanted to go bit could only afford to either do that or live with dave. So I chose dave and then he broke up with me. Gutted about the break up in general but disappointed that I had missed out on that experience because of it too.

So they are running it again this year and I didn't think it would be available to my year but it is! Lots of people apply so you have to write a letter and hope you get one of the ten places. I spoke to my lecturer to get more info and express my interest and he said I can go! Just like that! He said he knows I am a of student, would get on with anyone who went and he can see it is a passion of mine.

So... I'll have a little think tonight to make sure but from the end of May next year I will be travelling and teaching in USA! After the four weeks we are free to have our flight from any airport at any time so ill probably extend it and travel a bit more.

It costs about £2000 and I've got about £1300 save so ill get saving a bit more and off I go! So excited as definitely a target to aim for

Soooo tired! Really struggled last night. I am so happy about America but the only reason I can afford it is because granny has left me a bit of money. Just got so sad that she is the one who would be as excited as me, particularly as I'm using my inheritance from her, but I'll never get to tell her. Would love more than anything to see her reaction.

So just spent the evening trying to do work, trying not to cry but with years just rolling down my face. :(

Am very tired today. Got the physio in a bit, then train to uni, 2 hour lecture and home. Mum wants me to go out with her tonight to a bar that does live music. Will be nice but would rather not as I don't want to drink. But that's very antisocial of me!

Going to have a red day today

Good idea, hope it goes well!

Thanks Caz. Feel like I talk to myself in here!

Went to class tonight. Just weighed and left. If I feel I need to then I will start staying but for now I'm fine just leaving. Not my kinda thing really.

Weighed in at 15.7. Obviously disappointed. I got down to 14.8 over the summer, but that was my lowest after me and Dave split up and I didn't eat for weeks! It's still 15lb less than I started the year at, when I first started SW, so I'm happy with that. Just need to get cracking on losing weight now!

I am single now and know I'll be more confident if I'm smaller. Got two weddings to look good for. Got America to look and feel good for! Promised myself I'll get a tattoo if I can get to 13. It's some words in my granny's handwriting which will mean a lot to me. Hopefully this is all motivation enough!

First day officially back on plan and it's going well so far! Had been trying to do red or green days but am jus going to stick with extra easy for now. Haven't had enough super free so that's something I'll need to work on. Will go to the shops tomorrow and get some snacky fruit.

Had physio this morning and didn't have time for breakfast so had a massive brunch instead! Then had the drive to uni, two hour lecture and drive home. Just remembered I can have 2 Alpen lights as a hexb so will have that later - yay! Dinner was lovely. Layered sliced potatoes and leeks with Parmesan, covered with a veg stock and topped with cheddar. Makes two portions so will have that for lunch tomorrow. Was lovely! Want to make sure I have between 5-15 syns a day and haven't had any yet, so may have a yoghurt which is 1.5 and something else later?!

B/L: 2 x eggs, 2 x bacon, spaghetti, mushrooms, 2 x yoghurt
S: Alpen Light (1/2hexb)
D: Leek & potato bake (veg stock, leeks, potatoes, Parmesan and cheddar) (hexa), spaghetti, yoghurt (1.5)
S: Alpen light (1/2 hexb)
