Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Ouchy hard? Clearly ouchy head - thanks, predictive text!

Currently trying to get some work done on the laptop but my eyes definitely aren't enjoying it very much.

I can't believe it's such a beautiful day outside and I'm scared to go near it in case the light sets me off again. I guess that's silly really but I know light (usually flourescent ones or ones that flash in my eyes) is a trigger for me so I get a bit paranoid after I've had a bad attack like this one.

I'm so glad we don't have big plans for the weekend so we can just chill out together (hopefully in the sunshine) and the R&R will sort me out!

Still no idea on food - gonna start off with a cuppa and a pink wafer and see where we go from there! xxx

Poor you :( really hope you feel better as the day goes on. Dark glasses on and go and sit in the shade? Maybe some fresh air will help... I don't know the first thing about migranes having never had one, my poor mum gets them all the time though and just has to sleep them off xx

Aww thanks honey. Sleep is definitely the best medicine although after the last few days I am SO bored of being in bed in the dark! Going to try and clear some of these emails and then do what you say and sit in the shade with a big hat and sunglasses on! lol xxx

Aww thanks gorgeous. I'll take a virtual hug! lol.

Unfortunately telephone appointments are often all we can get with our doctors. They talk through things with you and then if they think you need to see them, they book you in as a follow up. For some things it's ok (e.g. you have tonsilitis and you need a prescription) but for others you really do want them to look at you! The one I'm talking to later is really softly spoken with quite a strong accent so I'm going to have to concentrate really hard to understand what he's going on about!

xxx

Oh Sarah, poor you - this is awful!! That's quite a few days that's been going on for now. I think the doc appointment is a really good idea. I've never had a migraine before but it certainly seems to put my crappy little headache this morning into perspective!

I hope the doc can help you and don't worry about work, get your priorities right. Do what you can but don't push yourself if it's going to trigger anything xx

Oh honey :( I hope the Dr sheds some light on this. And as hard as it is try not to stress to much about work.

xxxx

Thanks gorgeous girls. Am hanging in there with work and trying to get some prep done for a massive client meeting next Thursday which I so don't feel ready for! Trying not to stress and actually feeling a bit better. Could so do with a shoulder massage - they are absolutely solid!

Just managed to put some washing on - need to do something to make the most of this weather! And need to start thinking about lunch and what to do for dinner...think Dave's trying to do a fast day, bless him. xxx

Delish lunch today! Random fridge leftovers hash! Cooked chicken, baby potatoes, 1.5 syns BBQ sauce and 1/2 hexa reduced fat cheddar. Served with a little salad. Yum.

Means I can have a small dinner tonight while Dave's fasting! Might make some more of that cauli soup and use the other half of my hexa for Parmesan xx

Food looks yummy sweetie. How did the Dr phonecall go? xxxx.

He still hasn't rung me yet! I just called to make sure I hadn't fallen off the list and apparently I haven't but it could be any time up to 6pm...xxx

Actually feeling a bit better now (hope I'm not jinxing it!!) - have got some work done and looking forward to Dave getting home so I can sit outside with him for a bit (in the shade of course!) and chill. Thanks for checking in on me beautiful ladies xxxxx

Ended up on EE today

B - 2 pink wafers (4)
L - chicken and potato hash (1.5) with salad and 1/2 hexa cheese
D - omelette with salad and 1/2 hexa cheese

Well the doc did eventually ring me but it was a pretty frustrating conversation. He's given me some super strong tablets but no insight into possible cause. When I talked about prevention he said he could put me on beta blockers. Er...no thank you!! Hopefully I'll be back on form soon and i won't hand another one for a long while!

Thank you lovely ladies for checking in on me :) xxx

Yeah I have imigran and migraleve from the docs , I can't have the beta blockers due to asthma so I have amitriptilyn does the same thing ... I finally caved after 2 weeks of cluster migraines .. I still get the odd one every now and again, but I recognise the signs and usually manage to beta tablet down myself before it comes on properly xx

He's giving zomitriptan (that's not at all the spelling, I'm sure!), which my mum takes too. I really don't want to go down the route of taking something preventative every day but if I have another week like this soon, I'll have too.

I really feel for you honey xxx

Yeah that's what imigran is.. I couldn't spell it either so gave the name of it if you went to boots to buy it lol..
They are a pain in the bum!! For me having the preventative tablets stops me having the 2 a month which totally wrecked me, I get them with aura's and sickness.. So I can't usually see properly when get one. X

Ah, I didn't realise that was in over counter stuff too. Flippin complicated names! Lol.

The aura is the worst bit for me too. You just can't explain it to someone who's never had it. I remember my mum being very sick with them but thankfully although I feel nauseous I'm not actually sick.

They are such evil things!!

Glad yours are under control now - sounds like you've got them sussed xxx
