Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Green day I'm thinking:

B - syn free rice pudding using HEXA1 milk and banana
L - SW moussaka (3 syns for creme fraiche) with hexa2 cheese and hexb1 wholemeal roll
D - eating on the run tonight. M&S teeny couscous pot with roasted veg (2 syns for oil?)
Snacks - 2 x Alpen Lights (hexb2)

Amazing night last night! Met Esther Rantzen, Lorraine Chase and Angela Rippon so all quite random but very nice. Entered the raffle and won dinner for 4 with Champange and wine at Mossiman's so we're exceptionally excited about that! Going to book it for February - between OH's and Dad's birthdays.

Anyway, red day today:
B - Muller Light
L - Leftover Quorn moussaka with 1/2 HEXA1 cheese
D - Turkey sausages (3 syns) with BNS mash (2 syns for creme fraiche) and loads of veggies
Snacks - 2 x Alpen Lights and Bran Flakes (1.5 HEXB), small mug of hot milk (HEXA2) with 2 Mikado (1 syn), banana

So I'm thinking about saving my syns this week because we've got a big weekend ahead - do any of you guys do it and find it works? It isn't something I've really tried. On Friday night we're going to a 30th with a 3 course meal (which sounds amazing!!) I've gone for the goats cheese salad to start (HEXA cheese) and butterflied chicken breast for main (asked for couscous salad instead of chips) but the puddings sound divine so I've ordered the brownie because we're paying for it anyway so even if Dave eats most of it, thought I might as well order something! I won't be drinking that night so hopefully shouldn't go too far over syns.

Then Saturday night we're going to see Muse in London. We'll go to Nando's for dinner probably, because it's quick and low syn so if I go for the chicken breast with rice and sweetcorn, I can use my syns for wine! We will probably end up having 2 bottles of Pink Elephant rosé which I'm guessing is probably 25 syns?? So I need to have saved 10 from during the week.

I usually have 8/9/10 a day, never really use the full 15, so if I can keep it under 5 per day this week, hopefully I should have enough to balance out the weekend.

Am I being unrealistic here to think I can do that this weekend and get a loss next Monday? Only got 1lb off today and need to do the same next week if I'm going to get to target by Christmas. The other option is to not have the brownie and not drink at Muse, which I know I could do, but I'm so looking forward to spending a fab weekend with OH and our friends that I want to properly relax and let my hair down. Plus at the 30th, there are loads of Dave's friends who I haven't met before, so I don't want to be telling them all about SW to be honest, rather just let them think I've always been a size 12! lol.

I'll stop waffling now...!!

Sounds like you had a great Sunday and another great weekend planned :) yeh let them believe you were always a size 12
I haven't saved syns as such but have used them all and then limited for rest of the week and had good losses in the past, same sort of thing isn't it! Food choices sound yummy!! Xx

Thanks for the advice lovely. Hopefully I'll be ok! Only need 1.1lb a week to get to target so that's what I'm aiming for!!

How was your weekend? Mine already feels a long time ago - am still on the train home from a meeting in London. Looking forward to Dave having dinner on the table for me when I get in. He's taking over the cooking at the mo which is amazing because he can cook better than I can! :) xx

Feel the same, finding work a drag at the moment (nothing to do with my job, it's great! Just me and my complete lack of motivation) :/ weekend was good but already looking forward to next one :) Charles has his best mate from home staying from Thursday - Sunday so lots of time to spend with friends and family while he is entertained.
I've been thinking about my target a lot recently, I set mine when I was 5 stone heavier and it seemed unachievable.. Now I'm just over a stone away and can't imagine I'm done yet - will have to reassess when I get there.
You deserve to have your dinner on the table after such a long day, enjoy :) xx

Planning tomorrow's food (green day)
First thing - Mug of how water (try and kick start my metabolism!!)
B - Muller Light
L - Leftover veggie moussaka (1 syn creme fraiche)
D - SW carbonara with HEXB1 bacon and HEXA Parmesan
Snacks - HEXB2 Alpen light and bran flakes. Banana. 50ml Carte D'or Light (2 syns) with frozen raspberries and 1 sq Galaxy (1.5 syns)

I'm actually totally in shock that I just managed to buy a size 10 skirt in Next. I probably shouldn't have brought the dress, jumper and top as well (all 12s) but I was over excited! I picked up a 12 but it was huge on me so I got to buzz the buzzer and ask the girl to fetch me a 10! I did a little dance in the changing room with excitement!

It makes me realise just how far I've come from those dreaded size 16 jeans I was wearing before I started SW! All the sacrifices are more than worth it...

Yay! must feel amazing!! :D x

It sure does!

How are you doing lovely? Is your week going well? Mine already feels quite long, but probably mostly because I'm looking forward to the weekend!

Really wanted a new top from Next to wear on Friday night but didn't find one. Managed to buy the skirt, a dress, a top and a jumper though! lol. Might have to find time to go into town tomorrow after work and see what I can find!

Size 10? Amazing!! That's my dream lol xx

Ps. I normally have around 9 syns a day but then maybe have a weekly crunchie or even a take-away and still have a loss so I think it can work as long as you don't do it every week xx

Thanks for the advice on weekly syns hun. Am keeping at around 5 a day so hopefully that'll give me a bit of flexibility for the weekend.

Sure the size 10 was a bit of a fluke but exciting nonetheless. Tried on a few other dresses in a 12 and they were a bit big so it's all going in the right direction. Found out yesterday I have to go back to South Africa again before Christmas so that'll be another 5 days off plan. Need to try and get my head around getting to the 9s by christmas but maybe not target?xx

Sounds like a plan, I thought my target was 10.4 but I'd be happy to just get in the 10's I think, been quite a few years since I saw a 10 on the left hand side of the scales!

Went out for dinner with my bestie last night and managed to decline onion rings & chips, very proud of myself!! Lol xx

Well done on the onion rings honey! I think you're right about getting the right number at the beginning of the scales - that makes a huge difference! I'm sure we'll be there soon xx

Right, EE today I think as I'm off to a friend's for dinner and she's been briefed on SW dos and don'ts but I don't know what we're having!

B - Muller Light with raspberries
L - Couscous salad with roasted veg (1 syn for oil)
D - TBC! (hopefully 2 syns or less!!)
Snacks - Bran Flakes and Alpen Light (HEXB), banana, 4 Mikado (2 syns)

So day 3 of 'under 5 syns' done! And it's actually been fine. Definitely not feeling the need to fall off the wagon yet. The weekend is gonna be tough because I feel like I'm doing so well, I don't want to mess it up, yet by the same token, I want to be able to go out and not think about the damn scales and have a pudding if I want to without fearing reprecussions when I WI on Monday. I know I keep harping on about this but it's bothering me a bit! Trying to work out if I can sneak some booze into the O2 which is lower syns than wine so I can get a little bit tipsy without hammering the syns. Hmm...not sure about that one!! lol.

I'm going to sound like a nutter going on about this, but I'm trying to plan out weekend synnage!

Friday:
B - Muller Light
L - Chicken salad
D - Goats cheese salad (5 syns for slice of ciabatta), grilled butterflied chicken with couscous, chocolate brownie (15 syns)

Saturday:
B: Muller Light
L - Chicken salad
D - Nando's butterflied chicken with spicy rice (3 syns from memory?) and salad with most of a bottle of vino (20 syns)

ARGH! That's going to ruin me for Monday, isn't it! I think I just need to come to terms with STS this week and stop stressing or I'm gonna give myself a heart attack! lol.

lol, you sound like me - sometimes you've got to get it down on paper so you can stop it whirling around in your head - just a little thought lots of dancing at concert? may help with Monday weigh in.... x
