Sarah's Target & 10K Mission

Thank you lovely! How are you getting on?x

Not too bad, biggest challenge was cracking my chocolate addiction, think i'm getting there with that now though :)

Ah brilliant loss! :) very pleased for you.

Good that you don't have to spend the whole day in the office too xx

Not looking forward to a whole day in the office today, I must admit! Have so much to do but so little motivation to do any of it! Spent all of last night online looking for cars, when I would rather have been looking for jobs! Need to get out of this place so I can stop being such a whingebag!!

Love OH though - I got home last night to an absolutely gorgeous silver necklace as a pre-Valentine's-cheer-up present. I really don't deserve that boy!

Aaaaanyway, green day again today (I'm really getting in this green lark!)
B - Muller Light and some mango (need to find another free breakfast idea to make a change, but Mullers are so easy and let me save my HEXs for later in the day!)
L - Tomato Mug Shot with peppers, tomatoes and spinach
D - Pancake enchiladas (6 syns) filled with pimped baked beans (added onions, peppers, mushrooms) topped with hexa cheese.
Snacks - 2 x Alpen Light (HEXB1), 1/2 finger of twix (4 syns)

Mmm that dinner is definitely motivation to get through the day!

Your dinner sounds gorge!!

As for breakfast (if you have time!) whisk up some eggs and add chopped onion and bang in the microwave for scrambled egg and add spinach right at the end to quickly wilt. Free and superfree. Or grill a flat mushroom and crack an egg into it, bake in oven till set?

Some people don't have time for hot food on a morning though, in which case fruit and yogurt are a life saver. Mixed fruit is awesome - don't get bored of the same thing!

Hope your Tuesday in the office flies! Xx

I never have time at home, but scrambled egg in the office could be a winner - thanks Minky!

Was showing OH your list of planned meals last night and he was very impressed! We're having people over for a (SW friendly-ish) Italian Feast on Saturday night and I'm going to snaffle your parmesan crisp idea :) x

Actually need to get organised for that. Currently thinking:
Starter - Caprese salad with tomatoes, light mozerella and basil (I can have a smidge of mozzerella for 1/2 HEXA)
Pasta course - Tagliatelle with olives and truffles (we got a gorgeous sauce when we were in Rome) - definitely 5 syns for the sauce plus 1/2 HEXB for oil)
Second course - Chicken stuffed with extra light philly (syns TBC) wrapped in parma ham (1 syn for a slice) with roasted veggies
Pudding - SW tiramisu - approx 3 syns per serving

That should let me have a glass of red (5 syns) and still be under 15. Going to try and keep syns low this week to give me a bit of breathing space for the weekend as it's my Dad's birthday and my Grans (93!!) on Valentine's Day so we're going out for Sunday Lunch at a lovely hotel and want to be able to make the best choices possible but still enjoy myself.

xx

So I'm thinking about lowering my target...

When I started my SW journey waaaaay back last May, I thought mid-9s would mean I was perfectly happy with my size. But I'm at 10.2 now, and there's still far too much tummy jiggle going on for my liking. I honestly can't see this last 6lbs making a massive different to that either.

I'm not sure how far to go though. It's taken me flippin' ages to get this far, thanks to various holidays, trips etc, so I want to set a realistic target which I can reach soon-ish - and most definitely by the time I turn the big 3-0 in August!

It makes me wonder if I need a final target, or if I can just keep plodding along and losing until I get to a point that I'm happy with. Does that work? I'm guessing that groups make you set a target for a reason (I've never been to one, so I don't really know!), so I probably should?

I still honestly can't imagine seeing a 9 on the scales, so the thought of setting a target in the low 9s just feels a bit unachievable, which is silly, because I've watched the lovely Jenna fly through the 11s, 10s, 9s and she's now looking beyond incredible in the 8s!

Hmm...this has got really rambly now, and I'm still not sure what to do. But it's definitely something I'm thinking about. Maybe when I get into the 9s, I'll be better placed to think about it!

Hi lovely! I reckon it's always good to have something realistic to aim for. Because you're not in group I guess you can chop and change your target as much as you please!

If hitting the low 9s seems too far away now, why not stick to your original target and then reassess once you get there as getting to the low 9s will seem more achievable once you're well and truly into the 9s?!

Or set a final goal with mini goals in between?! I'm hoping to get to 8st7 eventually but it seems miles off....but 9st4 by 16th march might be more doable...and then ill set another one once I hit 9.4....

Just my two cents on the matter! :)
Xx

Thanks lovely - very good advice :)

Definitely need to get into the 9s before I can think about any adjustment - will be a very strange but exciting feeling to finally get there!!xx

OH's twist on pancakes - yum!

Bridesmaids dress fitting tomorrow! No idea what time I'll get any dinner so need plenty to snack on to keep me going! Ooh can't wait to try it on again. Would love the scales to show me 10.1 tomorrow as an extra little treat!!

Thinking green day again
B - muller light
L - lovely colleague brought me in indian style rice with chicken (only a few tiny bits - 1/2 HEXB1). Allowing 6 syns for vegetable oil.
D - Probably a mug shot when I get in later, if I'm hungry. Lunch is going to keep me going for ages!
Snacks - 2 x Alpen lights (hexb2). Skinny latte (hexa2). Banana. Will fit a few syns in too but keeping them low for a few days to allow for Italian feast Saturday! My mum is poorly so might not be out Sunday after all :(

Hope your mums ok Hun...always horrid when they are ill...you instantly want to look after them in the same way they took care of you when you were little!

Ooo what's in the pancake recipe?! I do like the magic ones but fancy trying a syn free option too!!

GOOD LUCK at the fitting tomorrow...eek can't wait to hear how you get on! Can you take a pic?!

Xx

Setting a targets hard isn't it.. Maybe set an interim target which you can re access when you get there?

Dinner tonight does look lovely and how gorgeous is your other half giving you your valentines pressie (and such a nice one) before to cheer you up :)

How about slimming world mini quiches for breakfast? Or is that weird and more lunchtime? Magic porridge is good too and you only need to use 1 b choice and get to save on an a choice. Hmmm and maybe add smoked salmon to your scrambled eggs every now and then for a treat... :)

Hope your mum feels better soon xx

Thanks lovely ladies. Going to hassle mum into going back to the doctors today - hopefully she will be on the mend soon.

Lovely brekky suggestions Nellylou - I've been meaning to do SW mini quiches for lunch for a while but I reckon I could do a breakfast option. Must think about that when doing next weeks shopping! Muller Lights for me until then!

Whoop whoop! Saw 10.1 on scales this morning! Put me in a great mood for my dress fitting! Have still for kinesiology tape on my back from the osteopath but think I'll take it off for tonight! Lol.

Have great days, girls. Hope your ankle is feeling more comfortable, Ging. Xx

Oh gosh tonight was hilarious! Sam brought the wrong dress so I went into the fitting room, unknowingly, with her sister in law to be's size 8 dress! The amazing part is, it wasn't far off fitting!! So no real fitting and no photos tonight - back in 2 weeks to do it properly! Xx

Yep it was a bit of a shock at first, before I realised what was going on! Then it was such s giggle.

Can't flippin wait to see those 9s!xx
