I love homegrown veggies! Last year we had lush runnerbeans but this year they died a death?? Courgettes and mangetout were a run away success though. If we could have some sunshine then maybe my tomatoes would ripen.
I bet your homegrown dinner was lovely! X

I'm def going to make that coleslaw. Looks yummy!

I was bad yesterday and had veggie fajitas in TGIFs so am bound to be good this week!

Do you always use the Asda pittas as an HEB, or another brand?

Hi Gwenny :) I use the Co-op pittas. They are a heb too. The coleslaw contains curry and cabbage, so don't stand near a naked flame after you eat it :p

Smartie - I have just made your chickpea dahl loaf and it is wonderful!

I didn't have any batchelor's rice so used:

1 tin Sundar dahl (from Morrisons)
brown rice
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp fennel seeds
3 eggs

It is lovely hot. Going to try it cold for my dinner. Thanks for the recipe :D xxx

Ooh I'm going to have to try your coronation coleslaw, looks yum!!! :)

Sausage, your pizzas and coleslaw look amazing!!!! I need to get my act together and make some!

Ooh your loaf looks really good! I've read the recipe before but never made it, I do like the idea of just using brown rice and a touch of seasoning though - good idea.

I'm also having a good nose at your breakfast ideas after your comments on mine and what a timely reminder - beans on toast!! So simple, so yummy - fantastic idea. Will be having that for a change this week sometime. Thank you!

Ace! There's a Co-op near me. As for the naked flame, as a veggie I make it a rule never to stand near one at all times :p

LOL Gwenny - I was in my local Co-op today and got loads of cheapo reduced veg. Nowt wrong with them. Cauli, broccoli, cucumber, another cute cabbage. All 20-30p each :D

My new week is off to a tasty start. Made more SW sunblush tomatoes to go in couscous. Still working my way through the feta...

I had a planned off-plan day today. We don't get much sunshine here (back me up here Gwenny! :p) so when the sun does come out we have to make the most of it. It could be snowing tomorrow!

Today was scorchio. At work I was Spring cleaning - lugging heavy boxes up and down ladders all day and was really sweaty...so that is some good body magic.

We had a BBQ for late lunch/early dinner and I wasn't counting anything. No booze and no pudding so could have been worse. Lots of halloumi though :p Back to counting everything tomorrow.

Tuesday 26th July

Breakfast:
porridge made with milk (hexB + hexA),
banana, strawberries, blueberries, grapes

Lunch and dinner:
BBQ with all the trimmings

Total syns: no idea
Fluids: good
Exercise: lots

Sausage, we definitely do NOT get enough sunshine up here! I was bad today too - went to Loch Lomond, drank wine, ate ice-cream, and then had macaroni cheese, wedges and garlic bread!

ARGH!

But onwards and upwards from tomorrow :D

Did you enjoy the BBQ tho, as that's the important thing ;)

Hi your food looks lovely, how do you make the sw sunblush toms??? Thanks sarah

Hiya :) It's a recipe in the new SW magazine. Tomatoes, garlic, oregano, salt and frylight in a very low oven for 3-4 hours. If you don't have the mag, I can look for mine and type it out. Here is a link to a thread warning about the amount of salt used in the recipe....

Gwenny - sounds like a cracking day. Food always tastes better outside or lochside. Not regretting my off-plan BBQ at all, especially as it is winter today

Bit of a fail. Had no time to get a decent lunch. Swimming in the evening and was Hank Marvin when I got in so not a very exciting dinner and too many snacks.
